I bought my fathers house in PA after he passed away. I live out-of-state, so my sister (who lives locally) and I chose CertaPro Painters to give his house a fresh coat of paint. The price seemed reasonable and the owner and his wife were friendly. However, after the job was done, we found that the kitchen cabinets were not painted correctly. They were not sanded smooth (pre-work was not done well), and other wall areas needed touch-up. We asked for a different painter from CertaPro to re-do and touch-up. That person did a very good job, but again, when I visited in December, I discovered the original painters had not painted the hall ceiling at all, and the hallway walls had only received one of the two coats they needed. The owner said, "You never know, some people think this quality is acceptable." At this point, we did not approach CertaPro again, and instead chose a totally different person to come in and complete the work. I am very disappointed in the quality of painters, and although they were friendly, would not use them again. The frustration and aggravation was not worth it.

CertaPro Painters is the highest rated painting contractor in the country. We read the great local reviews about Certapro Painters of Reading, PA and ignored the 5 year old complaint blogs from the other side of the country. We built our own home, a 2,000 sq ft addition, a 3,000 sq ft barn and a large bucket truck building... but it is getting hard to keep up with everything. Having done all the painting in four buildings over 50 years, we know how it should be done. CertaPro Painters does painting the way I would do it; that is the highest recommendation I can give. Paint a large strip of cardboard to choose the color you want. Read their contract and be ready when the painters arrive. The estimator, scheduler and painters are all nice, competent. professional people.

I hired certapro painters to do a complete interior paint job of my house for a move in. They finished the job in the estimated time and were very friendly. However, when I am spending the kind of money to hire a company such as certaPro I would expect the job to be done right the first time. More time should have been spent taping and masking the hardware and edges of walls so that there wasnt any over painting done. I had to call certa and have them come back and do some touch-up and some cleanup work because they were in such a rush to finish the job in the estimated time frame and I am still finding things that were missed. I would shop around as I feel that you can get just as good of a job done for perhaps a little less money.

These guys were great. Tim came to my home and taught me so much about painting, he really took the time to explain things. No high pressure sales, more like a consultant. We dealt with Jill in the office and she bent over backwards to help us out, even after we made several changes at the last minute. The painting crew was on time, very polite and respectful and did a super job. I will call Certapro again.
