I liked Camelot the first couple times I went, though I have to say the owner that you pay with never seemed that friendly. I had a younger stylist with a good amount of experience that was a very nice girl and listened very well to what you were trying to achieve. I was happy with the results the first two times I went.The last couple times I went though, the color and cut were just not what i was looking for. I described the way i wanted my bangs cut but they seeed to just be cut horizontaly across with not as much thinning or dimension as I was looking for. Pair that with the fact that she had begun asking me to hold the foils for her on my lap when doing my color and I had to hand her each one as she needed it which was about every 15 seconds. To me, that is unprofessional. I want to relax and read a magazine while I am getting my hair treated, not be part of the color process. They also had signs everywhere saying NO CELL PHONES. I understand they dont want people yacking on their phones when others around them are trying to relax, but a couple signs just saying to silence your phone would have done the job. I like to check in with my work email and other things while I am getting my hair done, and I felt like someone was going to scold me for taking out my phone due to all the signs. After the foil thing happened two times in a row, I decided to try Verde Salon and Spa, which is right down the st from my house. It was absolutely amazing and my hair and cuts have never looked better, and now I see what I was missing.

I needed to find a salon closer to home and was recommended Camelot. I was able to get an appointment the day after I called for a cut and color. The stylist did an amazing job on coloring my hair and giving me a haircut that is easy to style. I made another appointment before I left that night! They have great hours - open until 10pm every night of the week. That is so perfect since I have a baby and need to wait for my husband to get home from work.
