I have visited Ulta multiple times. The past week I had my hair done for the first time (note Stephanie smith is not my name I prefer to remain anonymous). The experience I had was less than pleasant. I was going to let it go until speaking with my girlfriend about her experience at Ulta and her having the SAME issue as me. I had my hair done by a young lady whos name I also will not divulge last thing I want is for her to feel she did something wrong. During my time at Ulta (2 hour color service) I have learned nothing aside from the fact that Renee and the young lady 3 chairs to the left of her were the most racist human beings. The amount of screaming and laughing going on was so unbelievably loud I left with a migraine. I understand fun while you work, believe me, but this was just so unprofessional. I also had the lovely opportunity to hear about how Ulta doesnt treat black girls the same as they treats white girls and white privledge this and that. Wait it gets better.. next came the conversation about cops profiling African Americans and how cops need to step back and how white people will never understand. My husband is a police officer. This was the straw that broke the camels back. I have never been somewhere that Ive experienced such racist talk between stylists and clients. My friend didnt get the opportunity to hear the police officer bashing instead she got to hear about Ulta mistreating black girls and POLITICS. Dont you teach your stylists what NOT to talk about? I am calling corporate later this evening.

Amanda the manager here is amazing! I recently moved to this area and do not know a lot of people around here which can be extremely lonely. I also am in chronic pain recovering from 3 broken vertebrae in my spine and a torn MCL in my left knee. So when I feel good enough and my pain is somewhat manageable I love to shop for makeup. Since I dont know many people here so I dont have girlfriends to go with but I love chatting about my favorite brands, best products ex. Amanda made me feel like I was shopping with one of my close girlfriends. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me her favorite products and helped me find what would look best with my extremely pale skin. Not to make this really corny but its people like Amanda who keep a company thriving. Makeup is a hobby/lifestyle for me and I love other woman who are passionate about it as well. Finally being able to walk without a walker and get out and meet people in my area is a really big deal when you were bed ridden for months. I am so glad the woman at this ulta all helped me and educated me on different products and showed me what would help fix the dryness of my skin. The store is clear and organized and the ladies who work there defiantly helped pull my out of the funk I have been in. Amanda especially deserves recognition her makeup was flawless which obv makes you trust their opinion more and I ended up leaving with $220 on account of her educating me on the best products. The store itself and the staff here are incredible great work ladies!

Super pissed! Paid to have my daughters hair done for prom by Lisa. Updo was beautiful but seemed too loosely pinned to me. I repeatedly asked Lisa if it was secure enough to last until 7pm for pictures- she assured me it would hold until 3am (through post prom). I stressed that it had to hold because I wouldnt be able to fix it - Im horrible at doing hair! We got home at 5:15 and her hair was already falling down - and not just a little, the whole bottom section of her updo came unpinned! I wish I could post the picture I took to show how badly it came undone. Luckily, I was able to get her up the street to my normal salon (which I wasnt able to book with in the first place because they didnt have any opwnings). My daughter was practically in tears and the owner of the salon herself re-pinned my daughters hair! Another woman at ulta did a fantastic job on her makeup so I will give a separate 5 star review for that and would definitely have her makeup done there again in a heartbeat, but I will never have an updo done there again!

I have been a customer at this specific ulta for 3-4 years now and have nothing but positive things to say about the store and the employees. Today I went in explaining to one of the women who works there that I wanted to find a less expensive foundation that is darker than my natural skin tone for when I get spray tanned. She was more than happy to take me to the drugstore side of the store, recommended her one of her favorite brands and help me decide on a tone. I then asked about a higher brand liquid lipstick and she pointed me to a different brand that last longer. I was also looking for a very specific bag that I could keep in my purse and they gifted it to me for buying the lipstick. Just one

I love ulta as a store but this location is lacking big time. The people who work the registers are almost always rude and short with me, there barely even make eye contact. I have worked retail a majority of my life and am super sympathetic to how difficult it can be but its such a consistent issue. It seems like they would rather be anywhere else. I can only think of one time I left there with a good feeling about my interactions and told the person I was with that I was shocked how nice the lady working the register was because its never happened before.

Its okay. Honestly my biggest complaint are the staff who are either hit (excellent) or miss (snarky and get an attitude if you dont take their advice on a particular brand). Then there was an incident with some random woman who claimed she didnt work for Ulta but was an aesthetician helping customers. It was a tinted moisturizer day for me. She pointed out the blemishes on my face which did not make me happy. Thats not how you help someone. After that I felt like I needed to wear full coverage foundation again. I come here when I need to. Not for fun.

I have reviewed before but I will certainly review again based on some of things I have read from other people. Most of the cashiers are pretty grumpy and lack on the eye contact/ enjoyment of their jobs. Getting help locating a product depends on who happens to help you/ how badly they care about helping you. I have had my hair done here by Roxy numerous times and I have never had an issue. Im always happy with the results and the time that she spends and it really helps that you are able to tell how passionate she is about her job.

I have been going to Ulta/getting my hair done by Renee for a very long time. She has always done a great job with my hair and has made sure that Im comfortable. She is also very friendly and tries to make sure that she asks about my family. I think that she is a great stylist and person. I wont be going to any other hair dresser. Love my hair every time I leave there.
