My grandson attended this place for a few years. The building is beautiful. In the beginning everthing seemed to be nice. Its a Black owned family ran business. We thought why not support a black owned business! This should be a wonderful experience. We were looking for diversity and reliable staff. We felt like my grandson was old enough to inform of us if he was being mistreated at a day care period if that was the case. Shortly after he started we noticed people were removing their children but we know didnt why. We started noticing some things that were unprofessional but it wasnt enough that we felt the need remove him at this point. We notice staff was coming and going frequently, which is not good for children .One day I was coming inside the building and I heard a father asking the same uncle a question...he wanted to know where were the other teachers because he was dropping his daughter off. The uncle is not a teacher however he is the cook and he watches the kids until the other staff arrives which can make any parent uncomfortable. This dad stood in the door way of the day care looking as if he was nervous about leaving his little girl there. I left my grand son there because he had a cell phone and he is at the age to tell us or call us if he has a problem with any adult. One day I was driving on West Chester Pike a block away from the day care and the uncle who works at the day care was walking the children from the school to the day care. I noticed he was letting the children walk across the street with out holding hands. These were little children including my grandson. I was furious. I notified my daughter so she could complain to the person who runs the day care. She called and Im not sure what was said. A few months later the school called my dauther to notify her that the day care dropped my grandson off too early and he was left unattended to play in the yard..not just him but all of the children who attended Highland Park Elementary school. Left unattended a few of the children walked to the gas station and back to the school...This was very alarming. According to the school one of the staff member suggested a meeting with my daughter and the driver and the women who runs the daycare My daughter called them and the person was in totally denial and didnt offer an apology she just kept defending her husband which is her driver sometimes for the children at other times her uncle walks the children. My daughter who is a criminal justice sudent explain to the person who runs the day care who is daughter the owner of the day care of the legality of what could have happened if any child would have gotten hurt. The daughter who runs the day care was quick to defend her husband. I called her personally and once again I explained to her the school policy which is you cant drop off the children and leave them on school grounds unattended before 8:30am. She openly admitted her other parents dont have a problem with this and she has been doing this for a long time now. She agreed at first and later changed her mind and told my daughter as of the same day we called her she was eneded services with us. She offered no time to find another place and we were fine with it by this point. She has not offred to give back the 100$ depost thats owed to my daughter but in a email she requested my daughter pay 22$ for the co pay ment she owed. As a parent you may want to check up on them, making surprise visit. Check to see if your child is being dropped off before 8:30. If possible check to see if your children are crossing the street with out holding hands. Talk to your children , ask them them if they are waiting outside of the school or if they are going directly in. We would have never known if school wouldnt have contacted us. Oh they sadly plead with people to do reviews for them.

I have tried so many daycares to fit my needs for my children. when it comes down to child care you want your children to be somewhere where they are safe, allowed to be themselves, and being taught, not just education but also manners how to respect one another . Early learning matters is perfect to me. The staff is amazing and they make my children happy I have nothing but love for everyone of them. Mrs White is more then a daycare provider she is a mother a wife and to me a friend. Just a small example of who she is behind the scenes. A while ago I went through a financial situation and I was ready to pull my children because I know I could not afford the copay she set with me talk to me encourage me and even hugged me when I broke down and cried. She is and amazing woman and I wouldnt want my children anywhere else. This place is family oriented and they really care about the children and the parents. To me child care is not about how big the building is or how many children are in it, it is about the heart of the place where does the passion come from and it is clear Mrs white doesnt do what she does for money or self but she really has a heart for this type of work and this is why her business will grow to the sky because she is truly a blessing. Thank you Early Learning Matters for all you do for me and my children. We love you all.

This is the WORST daycare Ive ever experienced. The OWNER (Mrs. White) is extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and a liar. She is also the director of the site. She doesnt do daily reports for the children explaining how the childs day was. She doesnt have a sign in and out sheet. So anyone can come pick your child up. She is always under staff because shes so cheap. She lied about being a 4 Star center on the Keystone Star lattice when shes really a 1 Star. She also got very upset because I took my child out of the center. And she called my job and tried to get me fired. She shows very inappropriate behavior around children in the building by using adult language around the children. She has her uncle and husband working in the center because shes too cheap to pay any real employees. She only hire people she thinks she can over on. She only offers minimum wage to her employees and pays only once a month. I would never recommend any one to bring there child. She doesnt display a safe environment, a learning environment or respect.

My experience at Early Learning Matters has definitely been a joyful one! I was a stay at home mom going off to work for the first time when I enrolled my daughter there. I was nervous, frightened, and afraid to leave my daughter in a unfamiliar place, yet it was my daughter who reassured that she was safe, happy and learning! My one and a half year old counts past to ten, sings her abcs, and other nursery rhymesand shes only been enrolled for 4months!!. Frequently she is taken on trips and to the library! She is offered numerous opportunities to volunteer and raise money/collect goods for childrens and families in need. Most importantly my daughter leaves happy everyday! She loves it there, she loves her teachers and her friends. Overall my daughter is developing phenomelly due to the support she is getting at ELM (Early Learning Matters)
