I recently moved to West Chester, and after some online search I decided to try Bella Bella. I had Raymond for a hair cut, which turned out to be a horrible experience. I said at the very beginning that I wanted my hair to be layered and the lower ends to be pointy. Apparently Raymond didnt cut layer by layer at all. After only FIVE minutes of random cutting he decided it was done! (My previous stylist spent at least thirty to forty minutes cutting every time). Obviously the lower ends werent pointy at all but very chunky. The middle part wasnt thinned and my head looked like a ball. Anyone could tell that my hair looked really bad, whereas Raymond kept saying "look good?!". I had to push him really hard to keep trimming, and he was reluctant to do so. It was obvious that he just wanted to get my hair done asap so he could go back to his other client. My bangs were also ruined. Raymond cut my bangs in wet without even asking me what they looked like before or how I wanted my bangs to be trimmed. I just cant believe how perfunctory my stylist was. No taste, no techniques, no patience. He barely worked with me and didnt care about how my hair turns out at all. Will never come back to this place again! :( :( :(

After reading all of the glowing reviews for this place, I was really disappointed by my service. This was my first, and only time to the salon and I have definitely been to better salons. My stylist barely spoke to me the entire time and seemed more interested in the other clients and hairdressers. I came for a hair cut, dye, and highlights. My hair definitely did not turn out the way I had wanted. My base dye was very dark brown which we had not agreed on. My highlights turned out great, but the dark dark brown really freaked me out. Luckily, its faded to the color I wanted, but it was pretty bad for a few weeks. Another thing that really irritated me was the "scalp massage". To me, that is the best part of getting your hair shampooed at these types of salons. My hairdresser literally scratched my scalp and afterwards asked me why I had cuts on my scalp. Being the person I am, I didnt point out that she had scratched my scalp raw during the shampoo because I didnt want to embarass her. In retrospect, I probably should have spoken up, but I will never go here again.

I started going to Bella Bella after my mother in law recommended that I go there. I have the same stylist Raymond. He is AMAZING. He makes genuine relationships with all his clients. I love my cut and color Every time I go to him! Raymond never tries to sell me on anything extra either. If I dont need a full color he doesnt do it. He knows what he is doing and does it well! He is polite, caring and genuine! If you go there make sure you call ahead because he is a very popular stylist. Glad I am one of his clients : )

Ive been with him for two years now, and its a match made in Heaven!!! He is an amazing colorist and the king of styling. The prices are also reasonable.
