AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Especially KIM!!... she is rude, unprofessional, and will just tell you to call corporate and then hang up on you. I tried to cancel my membership and thats when the "jump through the hoops" began.... went in on Saturday (because like most people I woke during the week) onlynto be told that the person (Kim)who cancels memberships is the only person that can do it and only works M-F. (How can you have 50 people eager to sign me up but only ONE that can cance)... They tell you pay the first and last months membership but then you cancel and try to use the last month you ALREADY PAID FOR AND THEY GIVE YOU NOTHING BIT GRIEF. Called corporate and got some ghetto girl "Taylor" who claimed to be a supervisor essecitally cussed me out on the phone and when I asked for a supervisor responded with "I BE DA ONLY SUPAVISOR here"..... really?... worst customer experience ever for a gym that doesnt even provide that much for their members... Good bye and good riddance... there are Much more reasonable rates, friendly staff, and better equipped gyms in the area than this cash grab. Rule of thumb.. if you walk into a gym and it feels like a used car sales lot with salesman swarming for the next walk in.... turn around and Run!!! I have heard from employees that worked here as well they only care about money, sign ups, and taking advantage of their members... got to a gym that really cares and wants to do right by their members.... not gyms like LA where they are looking to squeeze you dry and then make it impossible to leave..

S-C-A-M!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I took them up on their offer for a "free training session" and was assured it was more to show me how to work out than to sell me the training sessions. Well thats a joke bc they sold me alright. I told them I couldnt commit to a 12 month training contract because my husband and I were actively trying to conceive and I have high risk pregnancies where I would not feel comfortable doing training. (Not to mention the people they have training are jokes but anyway....) I was ASSURED numerous times that it would be no problem. If I were to get pregnant I would just tell them and they would freeze my account for up to a year. I would resume sessions and payments after the baby. No big deal at all. In fact, the manager threw in extra free sessions "for my future baby" Well a few months goes by and here I am newly pregnant trying to enjoy this special time. I call to freeze my sessions until after the baby is born. THE MANAGER ALBERTO LEFT, CAN NOT GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM, CORPORATE WONT FREEZE MY ACCOUNT, THE GIRL I SIGNED UP WITH IS JESS SHE HEARD THE WHOLE EXCHANGE THEY ARE STILL TAKING MY MONEY !!!!! And to top it all of the manager Evan smartly says to me "well did u get it in writing?" They are taking advantage of a pregnant women for corporate money. They LIED AND DECIEVED ME. Shame on them!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING WITH JONATHAN C. If you ever want to stop your personal training he makes it impossible. First, my boyfriend stopped in to cancel but he was not there so he left his name and number but got never called back. The next week, he called three times while he was working. The first time, he left his name and number and got no call back. The second time, Jon was busy with a client and again left his name and number. The third time, the TRAINING MANAGER JON went to lunch without ever calling us back. The person who answered, Kevin, was very kind and professional and assured us he would call back since he was working unit 8pm (it was 3pm) and Jon never called back. Five days later, we still got no call so we called back. Jonathan was busy so we were put on hold. Someone came back five minutes later but we said we didnt mind waiting. We waited on the phone for ONE HOUR. We hung up and called back. THE TRAINING MANAGER JON left and never once could pick up the phone. This is unprofessional and at this point we feel we are getting our money stolen from us. It has been over two weeks since this process started. The manager should be fired! Every person we have spoken to has been very professional and kind.

I felt compelled to write this review regarding my experience at LA fitness. I received an offer for a waived initiation fee and $24.99 per month. I presented this to Keith who is apparently the general manger that signs people up. He went on to say, very rudely, that this promo is not honored at THIS particular LA fitness and he has no idea which LA fitness will honor it. Obviously I was confused as this was the only LA fitness I was a member of. I said that doesnt work for me and we parted ways. As Im leaving he begins cursing and mumbling like a bad case of roid rage. I contacted corporate to get clarification on the promo and they said all I have to do is sign up online. Im baffled that a so called GM would 1.) Risk losing continued business by lying about a promotion. 2.) Act so unprofessional with a customer. LA fitness is successful because of their great facilities. However, as time will tell, PEOPLE make a business not a facility. There will be plenty of other gyms that cater to people without the hassle and BS this company will put you through. I would absolutely avoid this place if you want to do business with an HONEST company.

The gym itself is great, as are the workout classes. However management is terrible if you want any additional services. The directors and managers Clay and John are horrible, they are never available and when you finally get on the phone with them they wont even give you 2 minutes then never return your calls. I was wrongly charged (john admittedly told me the 1st week) and spent 5 weeks trying to get my money refunded, to find out at the end I could not, still have no reason as to why. I strongly advise to just get the monthly package anything more will make your life a nightmare with them!

WATCH WHAT YOU SIGN! Alberto signed my fiancée up for personal training sessions, claiming "they could be canceled at anytime." WHAT HE DIDNT SAY was that HALF of the remaining balance is due. $360 a month for 8 30 minute sessions comes to $4320 a year. Once you sign, youre committing yourself to $2160 in the minimum. Talked to their operations manager, Joe Portland. He did nothing. Called their member services and they basically called my fiancée stupid in not so many words. Complete scam. I hope this helps someone avoid this awful experience.

Negligent and unsafe. OSHA should investigate and fine this location. 30 minutes before the gym closes, they start turning off the lights! Even if members are in the cardio area or worse yet the locker room or the shower they turn the lights off to start forcing people out! Absolute disgrace. And before any LA Fitness executive tries to spin this that the power went off, the front desk attendant confirmed that they intentionally start turning the lights off. OSHA and any other regulatory agency should shut this location down.
