I absolutely love Honeyland!!! I cannot give it a 100% only because Ive seen better facilities from more expensive places. However, other than best price and convenient location for me, the top factor was the indoor gym. Yeah it might not have the newest, biggest facility but none of the high priced places have this wonderful feature. The education is first rate too. My eldest son started kindergarten this year. When he first went in for his interview the lady was impressed by his knowledge. He scored so high I had to share it with Mary (the current directory) so they could boast about it. His current kindergarten teacher is so impressed by what he already knows. I also must mention the memory books the teachers put together of the student art work. At the end of the year every child/parent gets a huge binder full of the work done throughout the year. The 2 other daycares my son(s) were previously at never offered this. The other negative to weigh, which is a non-issue for me, is the daycare currently has vacation weeks during the beginning of the summer for a week and end for about a week and a half. I just make these my vacation weeks from work for the year.

I have been providing care for children for the last 15 years of my life, I decided to go into this field when my son turned one because I felt there was a need for a high quality, affordable place for parents to bring their child. Throughout the last fifteen years, I have grown and learned-just like your child will!!!Just because I am an adult doesnt mean I stop learning either!..... I truly care for the families that we serve and am proud of the center that we have become. Since 2000, we have cared for over 1500 children !!! Families come here and stay and become part of the Honeyland Family. We are a state licensed facility and maintain a Star 3 within the PA Keys. I am happy to be able to work with some of the finest people and am happy to know that that my facility is one of the the best in the tri-state area. If you are looking for a place for your child to be loved, give us a try. We will never be able to replace "mom" but we have a good chance of being "second best". I started volunteering at Honeyland in 2006 and have been working there ever since! I discovered that I love working with children! It was a toss up between medicine and teaching, but in the end I decided on teaching and Ive never regretted it. Watching the children learn, grow and change daily is bittersweet. I recently graduated from Arcadia University with a Masters of Education degree. I am excited to continue growing with Honeyland and to uphold the high quality standards that Mary Dougherty has set! I have two children that have gone through the program from the infant room through preschool. Honeyland has provided the foundation that they needed to succeed in their education today. The staff is friendly and offer quality care to all of the children. Honeyland encompasses a culture of teamwork between teachers as well as families. Children experience an array of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities daily. I absolutely love Honeyland!

Mary Dougherty is the director of this center. She is a parent, and thinks well about what the children most need in their development, on levels that go far beyond the childs academic or physical care. The art projects are done BY the children, not just cut out by teachers and pasted together by the children to look neat and tidy. There is an indoor gym so that the children get to play actively even when the weather is bad. The teachers are carefully chosen by Mary to be the kind of people she would want caring for her own children, and I have been impressed with each one of them. My daughter is graduting from Honeyland this year and going to kindergarten next year, and we will miss Honeyland terribly. Im sure we will be back to visit! I would, and do, recomend honeyland to anyone looking for a great place for their child to spend the day every day!

I have been an employee at Honeyland for almost 10 years. We are a Star 3 Center and that says a lot. Mary Dougherty is the BEST boss I have ever worked for. She taught me so much and I love working there. The staff there are amazing and well educated. We go above and beyond for our parents and the children. Working with children is one of the hardest jobs and we do it well. You have to teach them to talk, walk,write & to be gentle, safe, kind. Honeyland has been around for a long time and will continue to be around for a long time. Every child going to kindergarten coming from Honeyland are well prepared! I would recommend this center to anyone looking for a great center!

This place should never be trusted with your infants. The director allows harmful policies to be practiced, like babies sleeping on their bellies at 8 weeks old and breastmilk and formula to be left out all day. The baby teacher at the time my son was there (for a very short time) smoked immediately before handling the children and did not care to wash her hands or change her shirt. The director also yelled at me for pulling my son out for these reasons and refused to refund my payments that were prepaid a month in advance. If you have an infant, do not take them here.

This is one of the best places to take your child!! It is one of the best centers that we have had our child at for the last 4 years. Our baby was just 9 weeks old when we brought her to this place. They cared for her and loved her! She is now a preschooler and smarter than I ever was at the age. I owe it to Mary and her loving, knowledgeable staff. I will be soooooo sad when my daughter graduates.......This place is just like home!

All 3 of my kids either have or are still attending Honeyland. They come home on almost a daily basis smiling and raving about their favorite teachers. The staff is very friendly, professional, and you can just tell they really love the children. I think my older kids are doing so well in school now because of everything they learned and the friendships they made there.

Honeyland child care has the best employees!! they are friendly ,caring , you can clearly see they care about the well being of the children enrolled at this day care .. I would recommend this day care for anyones children especially if you want a safe and loving environment
