Ive enjoyed shopping at Russos since my arrival in Pennsylvania in 2010. It is a small supermarket, with almost everything a kitchen needs to prepare good food the Italian way. They are well-known for their sandwiches; adjacent to the sandwich counter is a large olive bar (sold by weight). I especially enjoy their five or six varieties of fresh pasta, including squid ink. Pasta dough is cut to order by staff and arranged in birds nest style in clear plastic containers. Cooking time is measured in seconds rather than in minutes. Imported Locatelli cheese for grating at home is available, as is a good variety of fresh sauces. Notable for Pennsylvania is beer from cold cases. Wine is not available for sale, unfortunately.

Ive only recently been introduced to this place, but will make it a regular stop. It was especially enjoyable to buy some of their food and sit down, right there, to eat it. I guess Dashi John M. Debellotte is basing his review on experience without checking what they claim to be, when he says "nothing gourmet about it no creme fraiche, no foie gras, etc . . . ". There web site clearly states "Our gourmet international market offers a wide range of imported products EXCLUSIVELY FROM SOUTHERN ITALY". That pretty much rules out creme fraiche and foie gras. Im thrilled that they dont offer a product made from abused geese!

Many years my friend was describing Russos was a nice place to get lunch. I finally located your off the main street road. What a perfect hidden treasure for me. I love it. The fresh Italian foods and hot deli sandwiches, soups to enjoy with an eating lounge. Fresh vegetables and fruits - cheeses - breads - everything imaginable for having a small gathering for after work with wines and luscious appetizers. The wonderful ethnic accents makes one feel you are not in Berks County. Thank you for being there. arrivederci!

I love that this specialty store is so close. They have delicious pre-made meals every day. You can stop in for lunch and there is a seating area or you can take out. Plus, they have great Italian and Greek products, including delicious expresso beans. Their produce is better than most supermarkets around this area so its nice to be able to run in quickly.

This is such wonderland to me. Between the meats in the deli, the olive bar, the sandwich counter and all those items that you cant easily find on conventional grocery stores, I spend so much time browsing I lose myself there. I have no clue what some items are, since the lables are in Italian. The staff there is incredibly nice and friendly.

Russos is a wonderful Italian market! It carries an interesting assortment of Italian and European groceries, and is a great source for many foods that can be hard to find. The salad bar and olive bars are a treat! The deli offers an amazing hot bar and great sanwiches and pizza. You can enjoy lunch on site, too.

Great market with imported products from Italy. I love the bakery and the lobster tail dessert. They also have hot food you can buy like pizza , chicken, and pasta. Stop by for lunch if you have a short lunch break and pick up some food.

Hot bar is amazing and some of the most authentic foods you can find. This is a great lunch spot and not as well know as it should be. Do yourself a favor and enjoy it before everyone knows and the place is too busy for a quick lunch.
