This barber shop is the best i have ever come across. Upon entering I was greeted very kindly and moved into a seat very quickly. I had a young man i believe his name was russel who was well dressed and well spoken. I am unfortunately a patron of the big box, super cheap haircuts, in which, always, you get what you pay for. For 5 extra bucks i got an actual HAIRCUT that far exceeded anything i was even aware i could get. I am never truly happy with my great clips haircut, but once i did the mirror check after getting in my car (you know you do that too) I actually LOVED the job he did. I have never gotten so many compliments on a haircut (mom, gf, buddies, coworkers, etc.) and i would recommend this barber shop to anyone who will listen. I will ask for russel upon my return and wait if he is busy. It is really nice to see that there is still real service available for those who cannot actually afford to live on broad st. Thanks broad street barber shop, you have won a customer for life!!

I would have to call it the broad st. butcher shop! This one sassy girl, who thought she was a stylist, left one side of my head longer than the other and (not exaggerating one bit) one side burn 3/4 of an inch longer than the other. I did get a free fix the next day, but she was not happy about it and didnt see anything wrong because I has already fixed the side burns issue. Oh and this was memorial day weekend! Not worth the money or parking hassle!

I have had some terrible haircuts in my life, after giving too many second chances to franchise salons. A relative works here, so I decided to make the drive from Summerville - without an appointment for myself and 2 sons. Since, she was already booked for a shave and a haircut over the next hour, we took a gamble with the other stylists. These were the best haircuts Ive had/seen and will not go anywhere else. My trust has been earned!

I visited a few barber shops in Charleston before deciding on Broad St. Ive now had my hair cut by 4 different women there and have been very pleased with each experience. Theres free coffee and a wide range of things to read while you wait. They offer quality products there as well that theyll let you try out and show you how to use. Their prices are competitive with all of the other places I checked out. Altogether a great business.

Broad Street Barber Shop is one of Charlestons best and most reliable businesses. I have been going for years and my family has been going for generations. I have a specific barber that I prefer but if she isnt there even I come in, I still get my haircut because they all do an excellent job. If youre a local in need of a haircut, do yourself a favor and head to BSBS and then go grab lunch at Burbages.

Ive been going to Broad Street Barber for over two years now and I cant say enough good things about them. They are very attentive and thorough, and friendly to boot. A nice touch is the warm towel and neck shave that comes with every haircut. The last time I went in, they were trying out a new massage device that was great! I went back to work after lunch feeling like a new person.

I get a haircut here about every 6-8 weeks for the past year and have had great experiences every time. Its a unique shop downtown and its all women cutting hair from what Ive seen (I dont mind--in Richmond I have a guy barber but I know some men want a male barber). Its about $18 for a haircut and cash only. The wait can be long sometimes.

NEVER be too cheap to pay a great stylist. I had gotten the worst haircut of my life from sport clips, and I knew I had to get it fixed ASAP. Went to Jen at broad st barber shop and not only was she a great conversationalist but she fixed my hair so well. I recommend this place to any guy who wants an emaculate haircut. A+++!!!

Ive always thought of getting a haircut as a chore but here it is something I always look forward to. I drive 30 min each way to get my haircut here and its totally worth it! You cant beat the price, service, and straight razor neck shave.

They gave me a great cut, but horrible shave. Also, they jacked up the price for no reason. The prices was listed as $8 for shave and $17 per cut. I had to pay $50. Also, they didnt really shave my neck.

Great barber shop. But you might want to call ahead. They tend to close randomly and you only find out after youve walked 30 minutes in the blaring sun on your only day off AGGGGG.
