I never post reviews but I feel compelled to respond to Ms. Olenas review. I was in the salon at the time getting my hair colored and witnessed the entire fiasco from about 2 feet away. Olena and her mother were immediately taken care of and Sara was nothing if not nice and attentive, as she always is. The mother did not speak more than 4 words of English so there was obviously a language barrier. Even so, Sara did what she was asked (both by the daughter and the mother) and explained to the clients several times that what she wanted simply was not possible with her hair. You can only layer and texterize so much when the client has thin hair, you have to work with what you have. I thought this was common sense but neither the mother nor daughter understood this. Sara did exactly as the clients asked within the limits of the clients hair. The mother walked out crying and the daughter caused a huge scene. Sara was always nice and apologetic- even though, in my opinion, she did nothing wrong. She even offered to pay for the haircut which is definitely something I would not have done after being treated that way. I have been going to Capelli for several years to get my hair colored and cut and I have NEVER seen the salon dirty or unkempt. Of course there will be hair on the ground, its a hair salon, but it is always swept up immediately. I have never had a bad experience with any of the ladies at Capelli. They are all fantastic, helpful, and attentive.

Well I want to share my experience. Made 2 appointments on the same day for me and my mom. I have 18 months old son and mom dont drive so we all have to go. Decided that mom will take first appointment. We arrived there 5 min late. Hostess said that hairdresser would do dry haircut only now because of her next appointment or we can comeback at 11.15 and she will cut both of oir hair. I asked who will watch the baby, besides that it will be his nap time and he will be crunky. And asked why she couldnt do it now. Well she finally agreed to cut moms hair. Miss Sarah was like a sleeping princess. Moving slowly with tiredly annoyed look on her face. She was first or second day after vacation. Needless to say that no refreshments were offered. I stayed with them helping to explain what type of haircut mom wants ( mom speaks some English). When baby and I returned 20 min later they were almost done. Mom came out in tears. I didnt see much of a haircut on her at all. Even though I said word texturizing like hundreds of times, looked like hair was just cut an inch shorter than they were before. For $50 for haircut anyone would expect a little more than dirty salon (dust is everywhere and hair all over the place), unwelcoming environment and lazy uninitiative hairdresser. She was apologetic blaming language barrier, offered to pay for it herself. I canceled my appointment, paid half of price and left. Day was totally ruined.

i had my hair cut on dec 31. i explained that i had not had a good cut in this area for some time but had a great haircut while i was out of town. i asked the stylist to please just trim it and keep the same haircut because i was happy with it. well she cut it and when i got home and tried to style it i found it was uneven on both sides no layering on the top so i had a flat top with bushy sides. for two weeks i tried to work with it but i finally went somewhere and they practically cut all my hair off to make it even. i thought that was excessive but it still looks better so short. very disappointed in my visit there. i was offered coffee when i got there but no one ever brought it. it was my first visit so i realized later i guess i was supposed to get it myself. there was a baby in their which was very distracting but they left. for a high price hair cut little children are kind of annoying. sorry to leave a less than perfect review but i have to be honest. i wont be returning and will be out of town for the next haircut and can get it done as it will grown back by then.

I have to agree with Haley, the salon is never unkempt or dusty...sounds like Olena just didnt want to pay for hair-cuts. I, however, love Lauren, Steve and the whole Capelli experience. Cant wait to see Lauren for my cut and color. My mother and I come there and have never walked out looking like we had been to Great Clips. OK, I HAVE BEEN BACK TO CAPELLI FOR MY CUT AND COLOR BY LAUREN, AS USUAL CAPELLI WAS ROCKIN AND ROLLING! LAUREN GAVE ME THE BEST CUT AND COLOR I HAVE EVER HAD. I NORMALLY WOULD NOT GIVE ANYONE THE FREEDOM TO DO WHAT THEY WANT WITH MY HAIR, BUT I HAVE ENOUGH CONFIDENCE IN MY HAIR ENGINEER TO DO WHAT SHE FEELS WILL WORK FOR ME. I WALKED OUT LOOKING LIKE A MOVIE STAR AND HAD SOME PEP IN MY STEP....OH AND BY THE WAY, THE PRINCESS, SARAH WAS NOT SLEEPING, SHE WAS WORKING HER ASS OFF, AS THEY ALL DO AT CAPELLI! IF YOU HAVENT BEEN TO CAPELLI, RUN DONT WALK TO GERVAIS AND GET THE BEST DAMN CUT AND STYLE THIS SIDE OF THE MISSISSIPPI!

Well, I have been to see my hair engineer, Lauren today, and walked out with the pep in my step that I always get after my trip to Capelli. The princess was wide awake today, and making someone have some pep in their step as well. I have had soooo many compliments about my hair every time I come to Lauren, I will never go anywhere else. If you have not had the Capelli experience, get your phone, dial the number and GO! August 5 2017...Took my mom to Capelli, and Lauren worked magic on her fine gray hair...I did not have an appt. but Lauren finished mom, and tightened my hair up as well. As usual, 2 cuts that look FABULOUS! Lauren is the bomb, and Sarah was not the sleeping princess today.

Capelli did me and my bridal partys hair for my wedding this August. They sent over Sara and Lindsey to my venue for a reasonable fee to do 8 womens hairstyles. They finished everyone in a matter of 3 hours I think. All the hair was fabulous, my bridesmaids and MIL looked gorgeous. Sara took extra time after my "trial run" to research how to achieve the look I was going for with my hair, since my hair type didnt exactly want to cooperate. It turned out perfectly. I was so impressed with the time and commitment she put into giving me exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. She is definitely a perfectionist and will go above and beyond to conquer a challenging request. Thanks so much!

I am from London and the haircut I had here was the best in years, perhaps ever! So quick and cheap on top of that, great hairdresser too. Really lasted well and easy to manage. She knew exactly what I wanted, and recommended another hairstyle for me that I will actually be getting next time I get my haircut...she was very honest with me in saying what would and wouldnt look good and what would be easy to maintain. I hope I find a good salon now Im back in England because this one will be hard to beat.
