I took my two sons ages 6 and 4 for haircuts today. First of all they loved looking at all of the stuff on the walls, watching the bird and riding the saddle. The staff turned a movie on for them as soon as we walked in. We didnt have an appointment and our wait was about ten minutes. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They let me sit close to them so they were comfortable during the cuts and gave them candy afterwards. Most importantly the haircuts are amazing! I wish we lived here so I could bring them here for great cuts all the time. You can tell that they are all very experienced by watching them. At $19 it is a steal. I also love that it is a family business. I think there were at least 4 family members working. (Another review said it is cash only which I forgot to confirm but bring cash just in case or call to check.)

Stopped in while on vacation for a haircut for a 7 year old boy and was welcomed quickly by the shop. Despite having a full house, the staff moved efficiently and we were in a chair quickly. The entire staff was friendly to my son and engaged him in conversation while we waited and during the cut, and we both were appreciative of the hospitality. The cut was exactly what we asked for and a great value for the time and attention to detail. As a bonus, the staff was quick to pop in a DVD that was best suited for a 7 year old and made the haircut painless :). Definitely stop in, we are so happy that we did!

I tried this family-owned and family-operated barber shop the first of my 5 weeks vacation in Hilton Head, and liked the experience completely. The family members are all friendly and interesting to talk to, and the haircuts are really professionally done. I went back for a second cut before returning to my home in the north, just so my home barber can see what a nice job they do. My 5 year old desperately needed a haircut on our vacation to Hilton Head. I looked up the Barber Shop and chose their family business based on the history provided on their website and all of the great reviews they received. We were a walk in, but only had to wait 20 minutes on a very busy day for them. The family is very kind and I was pleased with how kid friendly the environment is. The Owners Daughter cut my Sons hair and it turned out great. I wished we lived here, because I would be a regular for sure.

Ive lived on Hilton Head Island for 15 years and have been to pretty much every barbershop in this area. Not one even compares to the experience at The Barbershop. They are a family owned and operated shop and when you walk in Rick always is the first person to greet you and immediately makes you feel welcome. Every barber working there is skilled at their craft and I have never walked out disappointed with my cut. Tourists and locals...this is trully the best barbershop on Hilton Head Island!!

I took my 9 and 12 year old boys here this morning. The place is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. They have 4 or 5 barbers and all seem to be related to one another. They were very warm and welcoming and good with my kids. They recommended a style for the haircuts and showed the kids some photos. Both boys actually liked how they looked when it was done. Prices are fair at $19 each. There were a lot of regulars coming through which tells you the place is well established on Hilton Head.

Hands down best barber shop EVER! After years of dealing with bad little boy haircuts, I finally found Jeff Land at the Barber Shop! Not only is he the expert barber I have been looking for, the atmosphere and vibe of the shop is exactly what any little boy to grown man would want when they got their hair cut. Awesome place, awesome people, awesome expertise...5 stars for sure.

Consistency with great haircuts for me is important for my business. The talented professionals at the Barber Shop have always impressed me. This place is awesome, the people are great, the cuts are awesome and the price is great. I would gladly pay more. I live in NJ and spend summers on HHI, It kills me in the winter months when I cant get my hair cut by these guys. btw- they did a great job on my two small children as well.

Just went for a haircut while on vacation. Even though I was behind a few others in line it didnt take long to get me in the chair. Both the barber and the hair cut were pleasant. I would encourage anyone in the need of a haircut to give it a try.

Great place to get mens haircut. Only downfall is that it can be pretty busy. But they have 4 or 5 barbers so its bareable and line moves reasonably quick. They only take cash or local checks. Haircut costs $19. They also take appointments.

Went in, pulled a ticket and waited for 5 minutes. Everyone working was pleasant and I really like my cut. I showed him a picture to give him an idea of what I wanted and he put some good style on that. Would definitely return.

Ive been here twice now on two separate vacations and will be back again for future haircuts when Im in town. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and enough barbers are always on hand to make the wait time minimal.
