I give it 3 stars because I do love the store itself, its the employees that are the issue. I shop at this particular ulta because its the only Ulta within an hour of my house. The employees are very young and snobbish, they either do not acknowledge you at all or they act completely clueless about everything. I went in for a foundation match and the girl who was supposed to match my shade simply smeared the foundation onto my face and stood there staring at me! She didnt give me any input or feedback, didnt say if the shade was too light or dark... she just stared at me and said nothing at all. Any time that I purchase certain items that are supposed to include free samples the employees act like they have no idea what I am talking about. When I ask for a sales paper to prove it they always say that they dont have any sales papers! Really?? It seems kinda convenient that they refuse to give you the free items you are supposed to get, and suddenly have no sales papers either! What store has NO SALES PAPERS? maybe next time I will bring the ulta magazine that I get in the mail, so they cant deny it. Im not trying to sound stingy, makeup is expensive!

My first time EVER going into a makeup store which was today at Ultra Beauty in Bristol, TN. I asked whitney the worker for help about a contour kit and I felt like she didnt want to help or talk to me but she had to because its her job. well I said I didnt know what skin tone in the contour kit I would be because I never wear makeup before. she said they did not have it in my skin color. I asked why because their isnt a lot of black people in the area and she said yes. she also said but you can go next door to Marshalls and they should it there. I felt soo uncomfortable. please believe when I say I will never let someone get the best of me or treat me different because of my skin color. and I wonder why I dont go to makeup stores nor wear it. ULTRA BEAUTY train her staff to have respect and learn how to others even if they have the same skin color as them. THUMBS DOWNNNN

I typically never leave reviews, especially bad ones but tonight I was shocked at the staff at Ulta in Bristol TN. My mother went in looking for makeup, one lady was in the makeup dept and my mom asked her for help, she said she was getting ready to leave and would send someone over. About 10-15 mins went by, there was 3 customers in the store and 6 workers that I could see, no one offered to help, 3 employees stood at the front and talked, 1 was with a customer and I couldnt tell you what the other 2 were doing as they wandered around. I frequent this store, 1-2 times a week and spend a chunk each time but after tonight, I would rather drive to JC or walk to Belk...to say we were disappointed is an understatement. If you dont enjoy your job and dont want to work with the public, you should find another job.

Nice products love their sales and coupons but absolutely despise going in this store. They will greet you and then chuckle about it to each other because they didnt want to or were really loud and fake about it. They never check on you again. Ive stood in the same place for 35 minutes before with no help. Beauty advisor Jessica checked me out last and bent over to get something and has about 18 holes in the butt of her leggings so I could see everything she has and what color it is. Gross. Leggings are $4 at Walmart. This place is trashy

Do not shop at this ulta, Ive only been twice and I live out of town but each time Ive went something always goes wrong with the staff, like today I was supposed to get a free gift and they simply said no way to it and then the very first time one of the girls acted like she had no clue what she was doing at the checkout counter.

Do not come here if you are a woman of color for beauty services. Their staff is not trained to do hair of different ethnicities. I left there looking so much worse than when I came in. It was horrible. My hair was sticking up all over the place and lacked all moisture and shine. I am not sure about their beauty products.

I had a service for the first time at Ulta. I had a facial and I enjoyed it so very much. Rachel was my clinician and see was knowledgeable and made me feel totally comfortable. I would do it again. In fact I rebooked. Enjoyed my experience very much. Was treated with much kindness.
