Soddy Daisy has a hidden gem on its hands. I drove 25 minutes from Chattanooga, but Id drive hundreds of miles for this delicious food. A+ for service, quality of food, and variety. The menu is one that I could close my eyes and pick anything and be content. On my first trip I had to try the Soul Rolls. A unique and truly decadent appetizer! To balance out the deep fried goodness, i split the Greek salad with my mom. Big chunks of tomato, cucumber, and hunks of feta. A truly satisfying salad. But the entrees! I ordered the special for the night. Fried flounder sitting atop cheese grits, topped with tomatillo sauce. My mom had their Reuben with side of the flavorful Cajun veggies. Both were incredible. And I couldnt say no to a slice of peanut butter pie. All of this came in under $50. A steal, if you ask me. It may not look like much on the outside, but Screen Door Café is serving up quality food. I cant wait to go back!

Not worth the drive. Maybe we came at a bad time, but the food was terribly bland and not worth a repeat. The waitress was amazing and very welcoming though. I had the shrimp and grits, which had no flavor. The grits were scooped together and smothered in a cream sauce. I had to add salt for flavor. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and he wasnt impressed. Again, no flavor even with hot sauce. Our oldest son had the burger. We didnt see a kids menu, but this burger would have fit on it. The burger was smaller than the palm of my hand and served on sourdough bread. My son ate it but said he wouldnt get it again. He was starving after dinner and we had to get him food when we got home. His fries were soggy and served in a pool of grease. Our youngest son had macaroni and cheese and it was so-so. The cheese didnt taste good, but he ate it so we didnt care. Overall, we wont be returning. I was hoping for more.

Waitress delivers drink order, then disappears until someone else brings out the food. Most drinks have been empty for 10 minutes. Staff delivering the food mixes the burger orders up. Very evident that the waiting staff were teenagers with no experience on taking care of dining customers. Food, absolutely nothing to brag about! Way overpriced.

Surprisingly delicious Southern Fusion cuisine. Surprising in that the place doesnt look like much, but inside the food is amazing. The Soul Rolls are incredible. Large egg rolls filled with pulled pork, collards and black-eyed peas. Yum. Worth driving to Soddy for but get there early. They fill up fast. So glad I live nearby.

Awesome food great atmosphere !! Short wait is well worth it !!! Steak was delicious my wife had the shrimp and grits she said was very tasty ! My daughter had sides one of which was an incredible Mac and cheese .They have Bologna and cheese sandwich on the menu are you kidding me ! What a great restaurant !!

I travel constantly and live in Atlanta. Eating out on the constant. This place is off the charticles! Who wouldve thought, in Dayton, Tenn. a restaurant in an old farm home, in the middle of nowhere, has the dopest food you could imagine. Gabriel, the waitress, the food, excellent! Highly recommend!

My fiance and I ate here last night. The wet aged N.Y. strip was the best steak I have ever had. It is most definitely the best steak in Dayton. Other restaurants may have more cuts but the chef here put everything into the perfection of one cut. So many other great and unique options on the menu. Try it!

Absolutely amazing food! Quaint atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We ate: meatloaf - so very good, kids fettuccine alfredo - exceptional, grown-up grilled cheese - life changing!!!, kids waffle - very good, kids chicken strips - very good. Our new favorite restaurant in town.

Had the catfish plate. The fish was good, lightly breaded. The collared greens were almost too hot with spices too eat, the ladies turned theirs back. The potato salad was somewhat strange. The slaw was just ok. The main dining room was extremely noisy. Would not go back.

Loved it! One of the best places in Dayton, TN Meatloaf...shrimp..all excellent. Great homemade deserts, my favorite cheesecake ever and the crust, tastes like what I make at the holidays when I have time, and our hostess Bronte and the waitresses were all super sweet :)

I almost give this place a 5. The food was good to great. The turnip greens were amazing. The service was good but the atmosphere is not that good. You feel like you are dining in the stock room of a grocery store. The prices are reasonable as well.
