I love the ladies at ANABL. Stylish and professional but also fun to be around. I have sisterlocks and sadly hadnt been tighten in 6 months due to not being able to being find a loc consultant that fit my busy schedule. But luckily at ANABL, there are two fabulous loc consultants that were able to help me get my new growth caught up. It took multiple appointments over two months and I enjoyed each session. The ladies had me laughing and time just flew by. The price was very resonable at $60 for a 2 hour session. I used to go to people who worked out there house that only accepted cash since it was side job and I had to fit their tight schedule. This is a full salon so they take cash, cards, and ApplePay. They also have online scheduling so I can make an appointment on the go. This isnt your grandmas old school salon but they can hook your grandma with some nice curls. Takeisha, the owner, is a pro and definitely knowledgable about natural hair. If you are having a problem just ask Takeisha and shell give you a solution. Every client that walks in is greeted like family and walks out with an amazing hair style and a smile. I recommend ANABL to anyone starting their natural hair journey, need help taming your mane, or been natural for years.

Today was my birthday so i decided to treat myself. When I first walked in everyone was nice. I signed in and asked how much for just curling my hair. No one answered. I didnt want trouble so i took a seat and waited. There was a few women waiting with me and I was a walkin so I wasnt tripping. I had an hour and a half till my other appointment for the day. Some stylists were doing hair while the others were eating/lounging. After 30 mins I said I needed to know how much longer it would be and how much it would cost. The receptionist/ hair washer said she didnt know to which the owner stated she would have someone get started on me right away to wash dry and curl it. I told her I wanted only to be styled because I wash and dryed my hair the night before. So my stylist final started my hair. Dont get me wrong she was super sweet and did a good job however I was 15 mins late to my appointment. Lets not forget the owner charged me 30 for curling my hair!!!!!!!! They asked me if Id be back. Bless their hearts! More than likely never. Bad business to overcharge new customers that way.

I did the big chop with a two strand mohawk and it turned out great. I dont know the name of the young lady that did my hair but from looking around you win regardless of who you get. She consistently asked me questions to get an understanding of what I wanted. She also showed me how much was going to be cut and asked if it was okay. They did numerous consultations while I was waiting and they listened to the client and provided catered advise. I am very happy with my hair and if I still lived in Memphis, I would be a regular client but I will be back in November when I return to Memphis. They did not seem to overbook or waste customers time. I went on a Friday and made my appointment online the day before. Lastly, the website is very well organized and professional. So so so happy to see an African American hair salon with a good website. kudos!!

Wow! What a wonderful shop and pleasant atmosphere! Mrs. Lisa is my stylist and I can say a lot of great things about this young lady. She has a genuine love and passion about doing hair and maintaining healthy hair. She is very creative with styles and most importantly of all she styles hair according to your face. She works well under pressure. Ive never felt rushed while sitting in her chair; When Im sitting in her chair she makes me feel like its my time and Im in my own little domain. Ive never had a bad experience with her, her only concern is about making her customers happy. To top it off she always give the mirror to her clients to make sure that they are satisfied with their hair; Not many beauticians do that.

Will never go back! Ask for a trim with a press and got 3 inches cut off , not what I asked for. Didnt even get the press because my hair was hacked and I just knew something wasnt right. Found out when I got home, I had heat damage after I washed and deep conditioned my hair! The stylist failed to use a heat protectant!!! So disappointed that a natural hair shop would do a new customer like this! And these "natural hair stylist" wonder why we watch so much YouTube... I rather be the one to mess up my hair rather than pay someone to do the same thing or worse!!!!! Ladies please save your coins and tresses!!!!

Overpriced, unreliable and unprofessional. My first time I got kinky twist, which was great. It made me go back a second time, but unfortunately this experience was terrible. I had a 1:00 appointment for Havana twist and didnt leave the shop until 11pm at night. The stylist had multiple people in front of me and had to make several errands during my appointment time. My last and final time was an appointment for my starter locs. I made the appointment two weeks in advance, just to find out that they cancelled it the day of my appointment. This salon has high prices, but their work/ work ethic is not worth it.

I really wish I would have read the reviews before I sat in the chair. I was really excited when I got there, but left extremely disappointed. First thing is NEVER pay any attention to the web prices, because it is a SCAM price just to get you in.. I went for a shampoo and ends cut. Once I was there I decided to try a style (small rod curls). The lady said it would cost $60, but when I got to the counter I was charged $80. I also gave a $10 tip. My complaint is once a stylish give you a price then that price should stay!. What if I didnt have an extra $20. MY HAIR WAS NOT WORTH $90. SHAME

After they provided an extra service other than what I said i wanted w/o my permission & afterwards up charged me for it, I never went here again! In addition, to the above they over charge for the simplest hair dos. When I spoke to the owner about the price she was very rude and unprofessional about it! Ill never spend my money here again.( You can tell by your post how nasty your attitude is. Furthermore, Im grown over here so my integrity need not be questioned. Everything I said here was more than true. In addition, who are you that Id lie....Chile please goodbye

My first time experience here was HORRIBLE. I showed my stylist a picture of how i wanted my hair. When she finished my hair looked nothing like the picture...not even close. All she did was wash/condition it, cut it, and rolled it for me to sat under the dryer. After she took it down and styled it, she asked me what i wanted her to do about because it showed on my face how displeased i was. She had to comb my curls out just so it could look half decent. AND THEY CHARGED ME $70 FOR THIS SIMPLE HAIRSTYLE THEY "once again" LOOKED NOTHING LIKE HOW I WANTED IT.
