When they say hindsight is 20/20, they werent kidding. After years of going back and forth on actually going through with growing my locs, I finally went through with it with my long time barber back in 2015. Now to his credit, hes a master at everything else, but for what I was trying to accomplish, I needed a specialist. I heard about Queen from one of my high school teachers, but out of loyalty I never did give her a try. Once I my scalp got so itchy I couldnt bare it anymore, that same teacher urged me to see Queen. If I knew then what I know now, I would have had her start my locs! During my initial consultation, she was very informative and honest about my locs. They were very dry, several locs were on the verge of breaking, they werent parted correctly (which was my fault), and a host of other things. Fortunately for me, she had an opening and took care of me soon after the consultation, and from then on, I havent and wont go anywhere else! Compared to other loctitions in the region, let me tell you, she is your best option as far as price, services, and results. Had never heard of a hot oil treatment, but you could tell my locs needed it and now I look forward to them every time I get my locs redone. Shes quick, warm, knowledgeable, experienced, patient, professional and very creative. Believe it or not, my locs have started to grow a lot faster and correctly after seeing Queen and following her directions. I am ALWAYS complimented on my locs whenever I go to see her as her styles are very well done and showcase how healthy locs are supposed to look. I’m The standard other guys with locs are judged by, and the go-to guy for loc questions as well. I haven’t been with my company for a month and a half and barely know everybody’s name?! By that same token as soon as I let them look a mess, even for a day, Im ALWAYS asked "Umm, when are you going to see your Auntie Queen?!? I could go on about just how great my locs look and feel now, but hopefully, you all get the picture. Always keep in mind, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. If you’re like me and made the mistake of having someone else start your locs, fret not. Queen can and will take care of you. If you didn’t already know that my locs weren’t started properly, you NEVER would have guessed; they look that good! Queen is JUST THAT GOOD! No artificial products, hair, or wax necessary. Just TLC, patience, and Queen- that’s all you need to have wonderful and healthy locs, trust me on that one. If you’re still using wax, do yourself a favor and stop while you’re ahead. As she would say, “Wax is for shoes and cars; not hair!” Your hair is usually the first noticeable part of your exterior beauty, and it speaks volumes to others about who you are as a person believe it or not. So do yourself a favor and INVEST IN YOURSELF! Get those amazing locs you’ve imagined wearing and will be proud to wear! Be the person that inspires another person still debating on whether to start their loc journey or not. I know I have, several times over. Eat your green veggies. DRINK LOTS OF WATER and schedule a consultation with Queen. You’ll thank yourself later, I PROMISE you.

I am new to the Ashe Natural Hiarcare Salon. Every experience with the owner/stylist has been educational and professional. I called in on a Sunday for appointment and was granted a consultation the same day. It was not even 10 mins between my phone call and arrival. Ms. Queen sat with me and educated me on my LOC journey. I set an appointment for two weeks later. Queen had great communication, she followed up on our appointment due to potential bad weather but we both showed on time along with other clients and had great fellowship. I look forward to the great community and fellowship at Ashe. I also look forward to a continuous healthy journey for my locs as Queen nature them.

I came to Ashe Natural Hair Care Salon, with sores in my head from a previous salon that was very unprofessional and negligent. Ashe does appointments only and I called in a panic with my head feeling on fire ,Ms Queen told me to come on and she began treatment on my scalp and my locs, repairing and restoring not only my scalp but restarting my locs so that could grow and flourish to their full potential. Im extremely grateful for this wonderful pure heart woman.

Mama Queen is amazing! Her salon is welcoming... I love the realness ❤...I loved meeting her and enjoyed the atmosphere. Kim is sweet and did amazing on my blowout (she burnt me a bunch tho i got scabbs and burn marks on my ear and head) but I still loved it there and will be back.
