My family has used Memphis Funeral Home for all of our family funerals for a number of years now. Their facility is a beautiful place to host a memorial service, but where Memphis Funeral Home really shines is their caring and attentive staff. When my dad died in 2013, the entire staff was amazing to my mother and accommodated every request she made. She could be a relatively demanding woman, so this is really saying a lot about them! Their wonderful staff was not just respectful and supportive; they really went the extra mile to help meet her needs as a handicapped lady and grieving wife. They helped her plan a memorial service that did justice to my father, gave her peace of mind that shed done right by him, and generously accommodated the 200+ people who ultimately attended his visitation services. I will never forget the guidance they gave me about grieving his loss, or the fact that one of the directors present the evening of my dads visitation stayed past normal hours of operation so I could be with him privately after everyone had left. My one request was that my father not be buried in a tie since he hated them, and the gentleman at the funeral home that evening made sure to remove the tie in front of me. They care a great deal about giving you closure and peace of mind during the whole process, which is priceless. When my mom died in May this year, she passed away without life insurance and with no prepaid funeral expenses. My brother and I worked with Corey Hague to put together a memorial for her that fit within our budget. He never pressured us to add cost, and went out of his way to make arrangements for us that would add beauty to her service. I cant say enough kind things about Memphis Funeral Home. There is a reason they have a reputation for being the best in the city. You would be hard-pressed to find a staff more caring, accommodating, informative, and respectful.

Staff members publicly chastised members of the non-profit military support group (Patriot Guard) for the placement of American Flags on their property. This was done right outside the door as friends and family entered for the service. This support group was invited by the family. Memphis funeral home then refused to allow the invited group to participate in the escort to the Veterans Cemetery. The owner even stated that he did not want this taking place despite that family wishes. Owner didnt care about the desire of the family and has no respect for our nations Vets.
