I want to say that the goal of this review is to correct the problems and not to bash anyone. Also, I have been to many Planet Fitness locations both in Texas and Arizona so I am not new to either gyms in general or this franchise. That being said - For the 3rd week in a row I have encountered a problem with the setting up of the tanning beds and hydro massage beds.There has also been a electrical or mechanical problem with hydro massage bed number 2 so that they keep having to reset it. But the real issue is that when I have brought this to their attention (mostly a little Hispanic woman with platinum blond streaks), Im given a smirk and a dismissive attitude. At one point when I told her that there was already someone on a massage bed that she told me I was set up for, she refused to let them know that the bed was scheduled for use. Her response was telling..." I dont want to disrupt them." She told me that they werent even black card members but were considering it so I said,"Well this is certainly disrupting me" ;at which point I got a blank stare signifying she wasnt going to do anything. Now in defense of the rest of the staff, I have been greeted promptly and all of that as well as a fan noise in the Mens locker room was recently repaired after reporting it and putting up with it for a couple of weeks. I realize that there will always be holes in any system especially when people are involved, but nobody wants to be marginalized when they just want to relax and have things work the way they are supposed to.

I have been a member for 9 months. I go about once a week and always have a good workout. There is plenty of equipment so even when it is crowded I can still find something to do. PF has a relaxed environment and lives up to its "judgment free zone" motto. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I am a black card member so I often bring my spouse as a guest. This was a cheap option since we get two people in for $22 a month. I have never used another PF gym but I could for free. I like the tanning and massage beds. Both are well maintained and usually available whenever I need one. My only complaints are limited parking, no bike rack, and subpar location. Just a word to the wise, make sure you can commit to working out regularly before signing a contract. Dont waste your money on a membership you never use. Hope this helps :)

Cons: No complimentary towels (really guys?) and Wi-Fi so slow, your 4G will probably be faster (I connected to the proudly advertised free Wi-Fi, then tried to stream Hulu while on the treadmill. Eternal Buffering. Did a speed test of the Wi-Fi signal. 1.52mps. No, thats not a misprint) , and everywhere you look, the constant, subtle, slight air of pressure to "upgrade" to the Premium membership. Pros: EVERYTHING ELSE. Awesome staff, Extremely clean place, Great music, Fantastic price (I have the basic $10 membership), and the best equipment and machines Ive ever laid my eyes on. Wow! This is first gym Ive ever been a member of that Ive actually LOOKED FORWARD to giving my patronage. Well done PF! Now lets get some towels and strengthen that WiFi.

The gym is wonderful in every aspect but one. Great staff,great equipment,very clean,but there is no place to stretch except a small matt that is surrounded by equipment and awkward if there is more than one person trying to use it. I hate to complain b/c its such a fantastic facility, but stretching is one of the most important most overlooked aspects of training and it would be the perfect gym if i had a place to stretch! Right now I stretch in the locker room or on the tread mill but I would love it if they had a larger area w/matts like the FT Worth location!

Planet fitness is an awesome gym with competitive prices. Its a truly unique gym experience. I usually work all over the DFW area and I like to work out after work. Its nice to have a planet fitness around most sites Im at. My only gripe which is minimal is the lack of non assisted benches and squat racks. I understand that its safer and provides a friendlier environment. The planet fitness on pioneer is one of the nicer ones I have visited. Overall enjoying and am very satisfied with my membership.

I been thinking about making a lifestyle change. Just moved to Texas and thought about joining a gym, but i was very hesitant. Man Im glad I did. Carlos got me signed up quickly and greeted me with a warm welcome. He was so kind and generous. Anyways, today was my first day going in for a work out, the gym is freakishly clean, the equipment is well upkept, and being a black member is awesome, those massage chairs are great after a work out. Who knows, maybe Ill also get to make new friends here.

My wife and I been going for two months now. We usually go in the morning or early in the afternoon. I like how everything, and I do mean everything is clean. Out of everyday weve been going, it was only one day where the dumbbells werent racked properly. Other then that, staff is great at keeping everything clean and organized. Ive noticed that they help members by showing them how to use the machines. All is great, if only I could work here. But they dont have open positions online.

I was a member for a year until my membership came to an end. Day of cancellation, the man at the counter tried convincing me to stay with PF. When asked why I was cancelling, I stated it was due to the lack of equipment, in particular weights. He then proceeded to question me whether I even needed all those weights. Bro, really. Horrible service. I really wish I wouldve liked this gym since its close to home but Id rather travel farther to a different gym.

Rude manager. Refused to allow my guest into the gym (black card) unless I showed my ID and stayed inside the entire time while leaving my dogs alone in the motorhome. No club has EVER insisted on me showing my ID. My membership # has always been enough. And none has ever insisted that I remain in the building for my guests entire visit. I am very disappointed by the Planet Fitness clubs in Ft . Worth and Arlington TX over this nit picky crap.

I like the pricing scheme. Its cheap and very competitive. Undoubtedly it was the main reason I joined. Plus they have a lot of perks like free tees, Pizza day, points gained after every workout and an abundance of machinery. I also like the motto of no bullying. Keep it up. However, the place is kind of crowded sometimes and I wish there was a place to do yoga or meditation or somewhere I could lay down and stretch myself.

My fiancé and I were both double charged called into customer service WHAT A WASTE OF 30 Mins! Was told they dont believe us and couldnt help us at all Id have to go into the location. I am on my way to cancel both membership AND get my refund we will NEVER gym with planet fitness and I will tell anyone I know not to as well. Just went to gym and they refuse to cancel they want MORE OF My money !!! Do not gym Here !
