We decided to go with Klock Electric to update our breaker box back mid-April. Everything started off well - they were responsive to emails and phone calls. However once they schedule with the Austin Energy to turn our electricity off, we never heard a word for 4 weeks - no courtesy call for a reminder of the appointment, no indication that someone needed to be out the house, and no response to an email asking if everything was still set to go. Apparently they did come out and upgraded the breaker box which is located outside because they cut our internet cable, left multiple screws in the driveway along with cut wires, cables, metal and plastic pieces, and did not complete the job as the covers were missing from the boxes underneath the house. However, they were very prompt on sending us the bill that evening. Weve tried contacting them to discuss the quality of work and the mess that was left behind with no response. Our internet has been out since then and hoping we wont have to pay to have the cable repaired. I was extremely leery of using them with the wide range of mixed reviews but they were quite a bit cheaper than the other quotes we received. Lesson learned.

Stay away from this undependable company. I had a similar bad experience similar to Jaye P. Klocks head honcho Jesse, and also Zack, installed a hot tub cable for me that didnt come anywhere near meeting code. When Austin Energy came out to address an electrical problem I got a violation and fine. I wrote a letter to Klock asking for a partial refund and received no response. When I called, Zack answered. He basically said "Oh, no!" but otherwise couldnt have given a flip otherwise. They never followed up with me or otherwise showed any interest whatsoever in resolving their hack. The BBB said they dont respond to their complaints either. Like I said, hacks.

We have used Klock Electric for several projects in our house over the past 4 years, including major work when we first moved in. We have always found their work to be excellent and the workers very polite and professional. They did lots of rewiring, replaced our outdoor circuit box, put up several outdoor lights and ceiling fans. They even "lowered" the pipe on the roof where the electricity comes into our house after the house was leveled and the pipe was dangerously near a large tree limb. We do not use any other electric company.

Im in an older home and the master breaker switch blew out. Mr. Klock was able to track down another one even though theyre not made any more. He installed it and restored my electrical service within the day. It was very reasonable and more than that he gave me information about what I might face in the future having an older home. Fortunately, the old place is hanging in there, but when another electrical problem rears its ugly head, Ill definitely call Klock Electric.
