About 2 years ago, I started bringing my oldest son to North Oaks. It was just as Mark and Nikki took over from the old ownership, and the entire experience was surreal for me. Waaaay back in the day (1993ish to be exact) I went to North Oaks for my own Preschool years, and here I was taking my son to the same school, complete with the same awesome rainbow ceiling beams. :) I wasnt disappointed. Mark and Nikki were amazing, and a month after starting my son, I started teaching ASL and Spanish classes for the kids. Every now and then, Id get to sub. It was such a loving, family-oriented environment. My sons 3 year old teacher really worked on him with his words (he had trouble saying some letters) and started teaching her class how to write their letters. At 3! And there wasnt a single time I was worried about his learning. Each teacher in each classroom was superb at managing and loving her kids, regardless of their age. While I continued to teach classes there, I had to put my son into a different (much worse, unfortunately....) daycare because North Oaks didnt have an infant program. As much as I wanted to keep him there, it didnt make sense to drive from Cedar Park back to Anderson Mill with two kids at two daycares. Lo and behold, after a year away from Austin, were moving back and NOC has opened an infant room! Just in time for our 3rd little boy! I am SO excited, and on touring the building, am amazed at the updates and care that the entire staff has given the facility. The infant room alone is way cooler than any Childrens Courtyard or Kids R Kids Ive worked in, and the other rooms are just as awesome. If youre looking for a top rate preschool in the North Austin area, you can stop looking now. North Oaks Country is THE place to be. The owners/directors are invested and compassionate, the teachers are there long-term and know their stuff, and the building is rockin. Plus, babies! Two thumbs up!

Where do I even begin?? Our oldest has gone to NOC since he was 3, our youngest is now 3 and began going to NOC about 5-6 months ago. The continual GENUINE warmth and love that comes from this place is beyond any standard Daycare. Nikki and Mark are absolutely amazing, very hands on with the kids and their team of teachers. How often do you walk up to get your kid from school and the Director is out playing in the dirt with your kiddo??? Probably not very often. Directors usually do the paperwork and keep their hands clean. Not here!! Ms. Shelly is also amazing! She has been at that school for many years and is so kind and understanding. I do not even know how to express the gratitude to the teachers there either, and to name just one or two would not do justice. Every teacher knows my boys by name, their specific needs or quirks. Our littlest guy has had a speech impediment from the time he started talking, in the few months he has been there they have all done so well with helping us, encouraging and just taking the time to work with him. If you do not have a child with a speech delay, you could never possibly understand how heartbreaking it is to keep making your baby repeat himself over and over because you cant understand him. We can talk with our little guy now! I can not express to you how amazing this school is. So warm, inviting, personable and just all around comforting. Take the word of a very picky parent :)

My daughter has been going to this school since she was 9mons old. I wanted to find a school that was down to earth and taught my child with good nature habits, lets the kids be kids, but still had structure with a lesson plan. I was one of the lucky ones and got in there early when they had an infant program. I hope the bring the infant program back, because I truly believe it helped her be the person she has become. She is advanced than most kids her age. I like to say its all because of genetics, but its also the environment she has been in here. They truly care about my daughter here. We have just 2 more years and I pray each day that Nikki and Mark will expand the school and build an elementary school onto it. No pressure of course! Sincerely, The McMillian Family.

I am a transplant from Boston and have a 5yr old and a 10yr old. I was a Montessori teacher in my past life and have had my share of day care experiences. What Mark & Nikki have been able to do with North Oaks is amazing. They have developed a wonderful family environment for the children as well as for the parents. My children are not ones to shy away from complaining but my two boys love the center - for full time care and after school care. I have to drop off early and pick up late which as a mom is constant concern of having your child in child care so long. The concern is often alleviated when I arrive and the kids want a few more minutes to hang out with their friends. I am grateful to have found this school.

Our long search for quality and affordable daycare ended when we found North Oaks. I was a preschool teacher for 5 years and now am pretty particular about the environment I have my 3 year old in. I need to see evidence that its always clean/inviting, always comfortable, always caring. North Oaks is always clean and maintained, plus the facilities and staff provide many opportunities for all types of early childhood education and exploration. Care and comfort is directly related to the staff. And its truly because of the warm/genuine care and comfort that all North Oaks staff provide that I would easily recommend them to all my friends and family.

NOC Child Development Center is my first experience with any daycare since we had just enrolled our boys in February. My boys really enjoy it (3 and 4 years old) and I receive updates which is very nice that include pictures and class learning plans for the week. The owners are very nice and seem genuine which is not really an impression I had received from other more cookie cutter childcare establishments. They have a better child care window for parents that dont work a strict 8-5 which is great. Their prices are fantastic compared to others I had found for the same type of care. I would totally would recommend to anyone interested.

North Oaks has been a second home for both my children. My oldest is the longest student there now. She started there at 18 months and now she is 7 1/2. My youngest has been there too since she was 18 months and now she is 4 1/2. They love it there. It changed ownership a few years ago and since they have changed a lot. They upgraded the school, the technology and the playgrounds. I could not ask for a better staff of Directors and Teachers. Truly this is an awesome daycare for any parent wanting the best for their children. Thank you North Oaks for giving my children the best atmosphere.

My 4 year old twins just started their 2nd year at NOC and I LOVE IT. The owners are very involved and accessible, and stress the sense of family between kids, teachers, and parents. Their "less corporate / more care" motto is definitely true! The teachers also are just fantastic; very caring and VERY committed to teaching. There are large playgrounds with huge trees and lots of shade - they had splash days over the summer that was great fun for the kids. I cant say enough good things about this school...we look forward to many more years there!
