Planet Fitness offers a gym that is very clean cut, looks nice, and is appealing to the eye. However, I have been disappointed in the management on two different levels. I do not feel like adaqete training is provided to their employees, nor do they fix what is wrong when an issue is presented to them. When I made the choice to join as a member of Planet Fitness, I was fully aware that there was a yearly membership fee. Furthermore, that the fee was automatically withdrawn from my account one time a year. Therefore, I was very proactive in figuring out when I needed to cancel my membership this year before another yearly membership fee was assessed. The last 4 times I went to the gym, I asked the employee that was at the desk when I needed to cancel before the yearly membership fee was automatically withdrawn from my account. On 3 different occasions, by 3 different employees, I was told it would be fine to keep coming until the 31st, and I could cancel at that point without the yearly membership fee being assessed. Come to find out, this information was not correct. Upon cancelling my membership, I asked yet again, to verify that nothing more would be withdrawn from my account. The employee, now the 4th employee, assured me nothing further would be taken out of my account. Yet, the day AFTER I cancel my membership, I see a yearly $42.22 automatically drafted out of my account. I asked to speak to the manger who told me there was nothing he could do, and that I should have cancelled by the 25th of the month. This obviously upset me because of the contradicting information I had received from 4 different staff members. I then went to cooperate office with my complaint. I spoke to Lucas in the cooperate office, who apologized for the misunderstanding,and was appreciative of my phone call. Yet, after explainging what has happen, all he was willing to do was extended my membership for another month, instead of fix the issue and make it right. He expressed that he was going to make sure to complete more training with his staff, and I would be used as an example so that this would not happen to anyone else. This is about character. The management did not make this right when I came to them with this issue. There was a flaw in their team, and this is bad business. I am overall dis satisfied with PF as a whole and discourage membership to this gym from my experience with them.

This gym is pretty decent. The equipment available is enough to get the job done. This rating would be 4, possibly 5, as it is a small gym in Belton, but my major complaint has to do with staff. Ive seen in other reviews that I am not alone in this department. Just the other day when I went in, literally not one staff member looked up to acknowledge I was checking in, except for one of the new guys. On the same day, when leaving the gym, two of the staff members behind the counter couldnt be bothered to stop their personal conversation to even say have a nice day. Now, I dont need anyone to tell me to have a nice day, but the customer service just plain isnt there - and its been like that since Ive started going to PF over a year ago. All the good staff that I did enjoy and that were warm and welcoming, have been runoff it seems. Just to recap, I would give the actual gym a 4-5 rating, but staff wise, I would give a 1 star rating.

Reason I give only a 3 star rating is because many times I have gone to the counter to get help with signing in to use the hydobeds and had to wait several minutes before someone came and told me what bed I could use. The timing on the beds are a bit too low. If I could stand to drive to Killeen I would. There are small things like no cup holder on the weight machines that target certain areas of the body. When on the treadmill or other larger machines the TVs are all programed in so that you can watch TV while working out. I was on a treadmill and selected to listen to one of the tvs in front of me and all I could get to work were 4 tvs on the other end of the gym. If some of these things are corrected and customer service gets better I may change my rating but for now, it will stay at a 3 star.

If you want a cheap day care, this is the place to go. Average gym for people who are new to fitness and dont want to be "judged" but... put kids in the mix. I guess its policy that you bring your kids with you here so while little Johnny fiddles trying to figure out how to use cable attachments laughing with his friends, youre stuck waiting for equipment to open up bc its kid social hour in here. Front staff isnt super friendly so dont expect much when you walk in. They act friendly when you sign up but after that they hang outside smoking while you wait 10 minutes to use the tanning beds. For those starting out in their fitness journey, decent gym to start at but those who are more advanced, go some where else in this little town

I like this gym a lot. Its probably my favorite gym Ive ever joined. Its clean, the equipment is newer and I like that the atmosphere is laid back. What do I not like? The staff is kind of weird. They seem to be either uncomfortable or not wanting to interact with the clients. Not sure which. Additionally, almost none of the machines actually seem to be able to play the sound on the TVs. Either that or I have really bad luck. I can see the TVs and assume whats happening but I can never listen to them via the sound jack on the machine Im on. My earbuds work because they work on my phone just fine. Not sure whats up with their system but it would be nice to watch TV on one of the 9 stations available.

If you know nothing about a gym or the equipment stay away from this gym. The tanning beds, water massage bed, total body workout machines your on your own. The female staff just sits behind the desk and tell if you have questions good luck. Why you would have 2 staff members at the desk but when told of an issue with equipment your told you didnt push the right button and thats it. No help.

Stopped by to see the facility 5 Sept 2016 at about 1400, the person at the front desk first says I need to sign in. No problem, I begin to sign in. Next the person says I need to leave a ID card while I look around. Not releasing PII is more important to me than simply looking at the fitness equipment to see what they have available. I departed,, It would not let me post with no stars.

Before you sign up for Planet Fitness, keep in mind that they have a terrible cancellation process. You cant simply cancel online like virtually anything else these days. You either have to come in to the store or send them a letter by mail. I just moved and am now having to go through the trouble of writing a letter and mailing it. Would not recommend signing up with Planet Fitness.
