US Marine trained and led high pressure sales! DO NOT go there unless you are prepared to be strong armed by high pressure sales! My daughter went to the club on a ten day free pass. On the first day she was led into the office to sign a contract for membership. She refused multiple times and said that she wanted to talk to her parents first. She is on a very limited fixed income and is a college student. She is a junior and will move out of the area in about a year when she graduates. They continued the pressure and claimed that she had ten days to change her mind and the contract would be void if she canceled it within the ten days. To escape the situation she relented and signed the contract with the understanding that she could cancel it. When she called within the ten days to cancel the contract she was informed that there was no such clause in the contract. In addition it was for 36 months! She did not agree to that long of a term, she said only 12 months, apparently they filled in those blanks after she signed the contract. I called the manager at the location, Joe Sanchez who claimed that he is a former US Marine and that he has very high integrity. When challenged about the facts he simply deflected to asking my daughter, and refused to take any responsibility for the actions of his staff. It is repugnant that he would use his background serving our country as a Marine to pressure young people into purchasing health club memberships that they cannot afford. It is offensive that he would hide behind the cover of the Marines and Integrity, one of their core values, to pressure people into buying memberships. In addition they lie about the terms of the contract, which my daughter did not even see until I requested a copy, to make a sale.

I absolutely LOVE this gym! I joined when Joe was the manager; he was extremely friendly and very upfront with me about cost. He was always very professional; I was sad to hear hes no longer with Genesis. However, the new manager, Horace is just as friendly, professional, and motivating! I think that all of the staff is very freiendly. The gym is a little small, but it has everything you need. I personally love that it is close to the river, because I occasionally run from the gym around the river for a change of scenery. And last but not least, my all time favorite thing about this gym and the reason I keep coming back is the bootcamp! I love that it is challenging and motivating. I have noticed incredible results since Ive started the bootcamp. I have toned up and my cardio has strengthened. I also love the other "regulars" of bootcamp. I moved here from Texas last summer, and I didnt know anyone, but bootcamp has helped me to make friends. I recommend the ICE center, especially the bootcamp! All fitness levels and people are welcome, we encourage one another. Hope to see you here!!!

Extremely friendly staff! Great atmosphere! OUTSTANDING gym with great trainers. They keep track of your progress very closely and keep updating the workOUT routine for maximum impact. The trainers are helpful and motivate you to do your best. They discuss and resolve any problems being faced by you and educate you regarding the various workouts they recommend according to your body and objectives. I have been continuing with them for over quite some time now and still am as motivated as the first day of visiting the gym. The best thing about them is that they make sure that you are getting results for your time and money.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone unless you want to spend way to much money and have management lie to you so you spend more money. I went in to cancel my membership and was told that I would save 50 dollars if I just paid for the rest of my contract instead of paying the cancellation fees because according to management I only had 4 billing months left, but I ended up spending an extra 125 dollars because I had 5 billing months left instead of 4. I feel deceived because they lied to me so they could get the extra money out of me! Of course, they refused to refund my money.

Im not sure what is happening to my health club. Ive tried to email about the rampant kid presence but have not received a response. Ive been a member since 1994 and feel like I deserve a phone call or email. Im simply trying to figure out if kids are now allowed at the gym or not. If its allowed then I should be able to bring my kids also. It also really confuses me that there is always 5 employees standing at front desk but cant get a simple response. Very frustrating. Just bad business.

Would not recommend going here, dont trust these guys. This place is just a overpriced money grabbing gym. They will try to convince you to sign a contract. If you have an issue, they will blame you for signing the contract. No gym should cost 167 dollars a month. And they will not tell you that youre signing a contract. Instead they tell you to sign here and here. And they wont care if you can even afford to pay off the payment.

Average gym as far as Wichita goes. Equipment is starting to get old in a couple locations. They need more maintenance and a good wipe down. Competitive price to the YMCA. But also less children than the YMCA.

I have tried all locations and I feel like Ice Center offers a pretty open environment and truly judgment free zone. I also think your staff is one of the friendliest around!

My only comment is that the Yoga studio is often so hot. It would sure be nice if there were fans in there. I realize some people like Hot Yoga, but I Do Not. Thanks.

Small space but has everything you need to get a great workout in! Staff was very nice and helpful; plus it has a sports bar
