Update Got a call from the Location manager last week telling me that they will be refunding my $$. Today i received the email stating the money was refunded. Initial Review 0 STARS! Worst experience ever of any company I have been a customer of!! I signed up with Kristy, for a membership and was hesitant about paying the $50 initiation fee. She told me to pay that amount up front and they would give me 2 $25 statement credit each month. So I signed up with my gf. First month goes by, nothing happens, I let her know and she says she would talk to the manager! 2nd month goes by, nothing happens. I tell her again and she points me to her "manager" who says that he will talk to the operations manager to give me the credit. I went their last week during office hours, because thats the only time operations manager is there!! Kristy was there when I walked in, but as I was talking to the operations manager, she went to the back and never showed up. The operations manager now says that he would never approve any statement credit and that I need to talk to her. Kristy literally called me 5 times to setup the account but now I cant even get one call back!? Bottom line: if u make any deals, get it in writing. They will try to get you to sign up by saying whatever they need to but will not follow through! Please beware!

The equipment was OK. The mgmt sucked. Id been a loyal customer for a couple of months when I had a job offer that required being able to lift 75 lbs over my head. Before going to the job test, I thought it prudent to go to LA fitness & have them "spot" me and maybe get tips on how to more safely lift. It would have taken no more than 5 minutes. I went on a weekday about 10:00. My job test was at 11:30. I confirmed with the front desk lady that a trainer would be in at 10:30. I asked if the trainer had an appt at 10:30, she didnt know. Trainer showed up and I asked if he could spot me for 5 mins....just need to know if I can lift 75 lbs safely He said there were inspectors coming in at 11. Said he didnt have time and walked away. I was dumbfounded by the rudeness. He didnt have 5 freaking minutes??? I canceled my membership & didnt set foot in there again. Of course, I didnt get any unused credit back. It covered so-called administrative fees.

This is about the most poorly run LA Fitness Ive experienced. The management (Taylor) is useless and cant seem to do anything and doesnt have access to anything. Their staff is not trained on what all the training membership involves, including fees and length of contract and the cancelation policy. Our sales guy gave us one price, told we could pay cash month to month as long as we paid by the 28th of the month. Went in that day to pay and was met with late fees and told the $75/month was not the total change b/c of taxes and if paying cash we needed to pay before the 28th. Okay, fine. But YOUR sales guys sold us that and now you dont want to honor it or make it right and would rather us cancel and walk away? That goes to show you they DONT care. I could go on and on about speaking with their corporate office and getting the run around but whats the point. This whole corporation is junk. It all starts from the top up.

I am very upset with La Fitness, i went in to ask about membership options they had, i spoke first to a lady named "Yay" i think she said. Later on a man came to talk to us i dont recall his name but he was hispanic i believe he said from El Salvador. I was very upset to come to find out that he lied to us, he said that we could cancel the membership within th first week if we werent happy and get our full refund back. On day 4 my sister wanted to cancel and he had the nerve to say that he never said that to us. A few days later i spoke to a young lady there and she told me that we could cancel within the first week and get our full refund back. WHY DID 2 PEOPLE TELL US DIFFERENT THINGS??? Im so glad i didnt get the membership, and will be sure that i dont recommend anyone to la fitness with a bunch of liars!! Ill be sure they know that they dont keep their word and dont give your refund back within the first week of cancelation!

Let me start by saying this is my favorite LA Fitness of any location I have been to. They have a good layout, good equipment, and round plates (its 2017, quit stocking your gyms with amateur ass hex plates) I used to live 5 minutes from another location, but still chose to drove 20 minutes to come to this one. One thing that has always bothered me is that there is no free wifi, and whats worse is there is something about this building that blocks signals from ALL carriers. Ive had multiple different phones, and three different carriers (Sprint, Metro PCS, and currently Ting) and every service can barely get any signal in this building. Ive been to locations that offer free wifi, and I have been hoping it would reach this gym but it still hasnt. Love the staff, gym is usually very tidy aside from the cardio equipment. Keep up the good work.

SCAM GYM...It used to be a good Gym when Mike Tisdale was G.M Now it is filled with a serpentine deceptive sales and managerial staff. They lied to my wife and I when we signed up for a membership. They have continued their deception when I have tried to have the terms of membership adjusted to what was promised. I have not had any success the contacting the corporate office because the lie was generated by the sales person Christie and the Manager Fabian. Now that Fabian has been fired Jon is in charge and is equally worthless. I do not know the name of the operations manager because he refused to give it. STAY AWAY from this location unless you like chaos and deception. Personally, I have been with L.A. for 7 years and that will end soon due to the lowest quality of customer service and the Highest Level of Customer Deception....Gary

This gym is head & shoulders above the Frisco LA Fitness location, but still needs some help with hiring managers. One time my friend was very light-headed after a class and was lying on the floor outside the fitness room, unable to get up. I went to get help and no one gave an oink. Glad she didnt have a heart attack or anything. The manager said the water machine was out of water, too bad! He let her lie there and never checked on her. I stayed with her until she was able to drive home. What a sad place. I must point out however that they have great classes and a comfortable group fitness room (unlike the constantly hot room in Frisco). Carrollton has an amazing instructor for Body Works on Mon. @ 11:00 AM. Lorraine is wonderful; we are so lucky to have her.

place is typical like any other la fitness centers. one - maybe not exceptional but unlike other locations - unnecessarily surprising thing is that their locker rooms are carpeted and it doesnt smell like spoiled damp carpet inside! besides that everything is practical. super bad: they dont have wifi! 4G connection is also at a mere one bar. horrible when youre into your workout needing the extra motivation boost and your music suddenly lags. f*** it. the worst: bad customer service. the front desk has no effort in anything that they do. bunch of still-much-to-learn-in-life young ones who only seem to have found it being convenient that they work at the place where they get their oh-so-buff bodies from.
