Ive spent the last 8 years at home or working with 14 year olds- so pretty much my hair has been in a ponytail for almost a decade. This week I started a high level position with a huge corporation. All new wardrobe. Gel nails with matching pedicure. But I didnt get my hair cut because after years and years (before my school teacher years) I worked in a big corporation and spent $100+ on salon visits, only to occasionally come out in tears. After 3 days fixing my curly, frizzy hair each morning only to have it look tired and frizzy by 2 oclock each afternoon, I looked for someone who in 75010/Carrollton who could see me at 7pm tonight. (Most places close at 7p btws. Roman is open until 10!) Roman had good review and was open late, so I made my way there. The shopping center is not fancy. The outside looks like any inexpensive shopping center hair salon. The prices are the same as any inexpensive hair salon. So I was floored by the interior, and by the service. The interior has been decorated with wonderful taste - dark, square wood fixtures. Ceiling tiles painted in a matching brown (instead of that awful cheap white), and two lovely chocolate-colored chandeliers hang from the ceiling. Maryam did my hair. I was just going to get a trim, but when I saw the interior I decided to go for the cut I wanted. I showed her a picture and description on my phone. She referred back to it three times to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I wish I could upload a before and after picture. It is the best haircut Ive had in 20 years. The cost (with shampoo and conditioner that left my hair feeling like silk): $25. I felt like I was stealing. I tipped her $20; it was that great. Im 4 paragraphs in and have talked about how wonderful the owner, Roman, was. She spent a good 15 minutes going over my hair needs. I told her a particular conditioner worked well for me, did she have something similar? She said if it worked well for me stick with it. She has some products she uses as a courtesy for clients, but she isnt in the business to sell product. I could go on and on - and probably will when I go back for color. But you are probably tired of my raving. Ill close with run, dont walk, to Roman Hair Salon and ask for Maryam (who will do my hair forever or until she quits doing hair!) or the owner, Roman!

Please do yourself a favor and never let Celeste, the young lady with the short blue hair, cut your hair. I provided her with a picture and a detailed description of what I wanted and she completely ignored it. First off, she had me facing the door instead of the mirror the entire 30 minutes of the haircut so I couldnt see what was happening. After about 20 minutes, Roman, the owner, walks in and sees my hair finishing up and starts critiquing Celeste without addressing me and harshly telling her that she could not leave it SO UNEVEN. So celeste continues cutting my hair without even talking to me or telling me whats going on. When she tries to show me the cut and asks me how it is I see a HUGE hole in the side of my bob. I told her I was unhappy with the cut and would rather leave and pay and have another stylist fix it than let her try. They refused to let me leave and Roman forced me to sit back down and wait for her to finish with her client so she could assist me. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I again try to leave and they do not let me leave. I had to have someone come pick me up and help me get out because they were absolutely not letting me leave that salon. I had to sit through the owner ranting about the hairstylist who she let destroy my hair. I get my haircut pretty often with a lot of stylists and I have never been this unhappy with a haircut. She did not even apologize to me or admit that she had completely messed up my request. Most of all, I am annoyed with the service I got and the fact that they would not let me pay and leave when I wanted to.

Roman is the most amazing Hair Stylist EVER!!!. She is so loving and care so much for her clients. This salon was a Heaven-sent for my hair. My hair was a mess when I first found Roman through Yelp a little over a year ago. I have no need to look elsewhere. One time I forgot one of my appointments (got the dates mixed up), she called me to see if I was coming. I showed up almost 90 minutes late and she still took care of me, without rushing her work at all, she still cut it and style it. I was the last person to leave the salon (over an hour after closing time), not once she complained about it. The salon is quite busy, so I would recommend for you to schedule an appointment. The prices are very affordable for the services rendered, I was paying twice what Roman charges (and driving over an hour) for color and haircut and the work was an absolute mess (my hair was literally orange when I found Roman). It took a few appointments, but she brought my hair back to life, it is as Healthy as it could ever be. You wont be disappointed.

I was looking for a local hair salon and Romans popped up with great reviews so I decided to give it a try. When I called for an appt I asked for Roman and was told she didnt have anything available. I am so glad I decided to wait. The salon is close to my home and truthfully, if it were further I would make the drive for such a great haircut at such an affordable price. Roman did exactly what I asked for...and it turned out amazing. I made an appt for 8 weeks from now so I can be sure to maintain this cut. My husband and I are going on vacation next weekend and she said that she would squeeze him in between appts on Friday! Talk about a full service...willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. I have been looking for a local hairdresser for years and now I have one. Halleluyah!

Gena did a fantastic job! Im thrilled with the whole experience and got one of the best haircuts of my life! I hadnt had a hair cut in four years, and my hair was almost to the top of my jeans. My hair grows silly fast, and Ive always let my hair grow out then had it cut short when I was over it with long, heavy hair. Most salons resist or try to talk me out of cutting off so much length at once. Gena understood I was tired of the length and wanted it cut shorter for summer. She layered it beautifully and cut in bangs exactly how I wanted them checking with me through out. The whole staff is very friendly, and all the other clients that were there during my visit were long time regulars, and I know why. This salon is one of the best kept secrets in the north Dallas area.
