Gave him a shot. Huge mistake! Had a laptop with a bad motherboard or power supply but I wanted someone to diagnose and see which, then order the part and install it. A new laptop would be about $500. A replacement mother board is about $80 so it seemed like a decent plan and I didnt have time to work on it myself. 1. Never called us back once he had the computer 2. Kept it for 2 months 3. Even though it was a simple fix (I eventually replaced mob for $80), he never could figure it out. 4. He returned it to us in PIECES telling us it was "toast"... (Idiot) 5. It was missing pieces when we got it back 6. Likes to say hes forgotten more about IT than other IT guys know, yet failed to fix something that I myself figured out and fixed in a few days!! Lots of similar experiences on Yelp. Check him first people! Bottom line: This guy is a total dipshit! He is an unqualified, unprofessional, incompetent moron and has no business running any kind of business especially involving computer repair. My advice, look around. There are plenty of good techs in the area. This is Austin. Half the people on the street could fix your PC. This guy.... no way.

I had the opportunity to work with Mike at TSI, and I couldnt be more pleased with the entire interaction and resolution that Mike provided. The hard drive on my laptop died, and I found TSI through an internet search. I took my laptop to Mike without an appointment and he saw me within minutes. Mike was able to diagnose the problem, offer a resolution and quoted a fair price for his services. In addition, he was able to work with my schedule, as I was flying out of town the next morning. Not only did Mike perform as he claimed he would, replace my hard drive, restore all of my previous loaded information and within the estimated cost, but he did so earlier than he said he would. It was my pleasure to work with someone of character and integrity, but also one that understands how to treat a guest or a client. In my opinion, Mike went above and beyond by exceeding the expectations of his time and helping me have a working laptop prior to my trip. I highly recommend Mike and TSI for all computer repair needs, and will proudly go back if and when the need arises. Thank you Mike and TSI for a great experience.

They were very helpful. My son is in med school and was home studying for board exams when his computer began blue screening. This was an emergency for us. So I frantically started making calls. One call I was told to buy a new computer. Other calls said that they could not get to it for over a week. But he will be back in Houston taking his exam by then. TSI was very understanding and took it in immediately knowing that this was an emergency for us. It is great to see a business that actually cares about the customer! Most computer shops are too into themselves and how brilliant they are. This is a business that speaks and brags very little and is big on action. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Great company!!

Poor poor horrible service horrible experience doesnt even deserve a star!!! Took my computer because it had a virus the diagnostics test was supposed to be free but he charged me for it anyway!!! My computer is in worst shape now that it was before! On top of that when I pay for the service he charged the same credit card twice and then blamed it on me for his incompetence so sad!!! Then takes two months to reimburse me! Ive never been so mistreated which is sad on their part, being their standards are to treat every customer as family. O please I was most definitely treated like the red headed step child dont waste your time or money because MIKE STEELE will definitely take it!!!!!!!!!!

When your computer dies and youre using someone for the first time its easy to have your doubts; particularly when youve not had good fortune with other companies. But Michael and the level of service and attention he provided was wonderful. He listened to me and definitely went above and beyond in not only recovering my computer from a nasty virus attack but was honest with me and advised me along every step. Plus I found his services to be very reasonably priced. Hes definitely won me as a new client and I will highly recommend him to anyone!

This is the second time that I have had to take my computer in for repairs. Have not had any issues with trying to get my 10 year old computer back up and running again with Mike. Mike was quick to be able to diagnose the problem and be able to understand what was needed to correct the situation. A couple of things were off when I got the computer back this time, gave Mike a call explained what was wrong and was able to get the computer back in and corrected quickly. Treated like family every time that I have had an issue with my computer.

Mike really helped me out when my Project Managers hard drive went bad. I have been going through PC fails left and right over the past two weeks. I called Mike the day my PMs computer went bad and discussed the situation. I got clear and concise answers and solutions plus upfront, very reasonable pricing. I dropped off and picked up same day! I have three more computer I will happily put in TSIs capable hands. Bottom line we are a small business that prides itself on customer service, it is a relief to get the same when we need help.

My experience with This Computer store has been amazing. As an artist, my computer is my instrument, and you cant just trust ANYONE with your instrument. i have been to other computer shops over the years, mostly people looking to make a fast buck with little to street knowledge on computers. That IS NOT what i recieved. i got a kind hearted, knowledgeable guy with a knack for computers. He was very welcoming and professional, with text and emails to keep you updates on the status of your pc. I would refer ANY ONE to TSI computers.

Michael did a diagnostic on my computer and found the hard drive was kaput! (...my words, not his...) This could have been replaced/repaired but at a cost not better than starting over with a new computer considering my old computers value. He did not hesitate to explain this. Obviously, this is putting the customers best interest first and he is in business for the long term. He was friendly and offered free advice on a couple of other computer questions, too. I will not hesitate to go to him and TSI again.

Nobody likes to bring their computer in for repair. Ive brought mine to Mike twice now. The first time was to replace a hard drive. He replaced it quickly and at a fair price. The second was not so straight-forward - my virus protection software had become an instrument of Trojan viruses. The second repair took about a week; it was a puzzle Mike refused to give up on. Mike brought my computer back from the dead, installed new security software on it, and didnt charge me an arm and a leg. Highly recommend!
