I previously cancelled years ago because I was uncomfortable with being in the locker room because guys would take selfies all of the time. There are lots of mirrors on there and I dont want to show up on social media. I talked to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do because it is their phone. I then tried 24 hour fitness, but that was even worse. Now I had joined LA again (really just for racquetball) and was on a month to month membership and on 1/6 I decided to pre-pay the 718$ for 3 full years. The guy that converted my account swiped my card and I asked him what about the last month I had already paid? He was not aware of the fact that when you are month to month you have to pay first and last month! Seems like he should know something basic like that. He said dont worry, you are now signed up for 3 years. I said thats great, but what about the month I already paid for on the old account? You guys owe me a month. He had a confused look on his face and had to explain to him that they owed me that month. I also explained to him that just a few days before I was charged for the month of January and I need to get that money back too because I prepaid the 3 years starting 1/6 and i would be paying twice for January. He was really confused now and did not know what to do. I said just give pro-rate it. He did not know what pro-rated meant and I had to explain it to him. Then he said that as a courtesy he was going to refund me 35$. I said umm no thats not a courtesy,..that is my money that I had paid! So for some reason that guy and the manager Jesus had trouble giving me a refund for one month so they only gave me 20$ credit and I had to come back a week later and they gave me $15 cash. Then I asked Jesus what about the other month that I had already paid for up front when I signed up a long time ago? He said he forwarded it to the operations manager to extend my 3 yr contract one month. I said I need something on paper that my 3 yr contract will expire one month later. Still waiting on that after 2 weeks. Also the guy that converted my account said, "can I use your middle name?". I said fine and thought they were using my full name, but nope they used my middle name as my first name. I asked Jesus to update my name and he said it should go in to effect in 1-2 days and now over a week later it is still the wrong name. I talked to the ops manager Joanna and she said she changed the name and it went in to effect immediately. It has been 3 days and still wrong name. So I have been going to the gym frequently and I walk in one day and the lady Uri that scanned my barcode said, "oh this is not a valid account". Im like what? She said that I need a new barcode. I said it has been working every day for 2 weeks at different gyms. She said that they must have been scanning it wrong. I said so everyone scanning it wrong at different gyms ? Makes no sense. Now here is the kicker,...Uri told me that my old month to month account WAS NEVER CANCELLED!!!!! I JUST GOT THE BILL FOR FEBRUARY!!!! Now I am dealing with getting a refund for this latest bill and fixing my name and getting my contract updated with the last month they owed me. I highly suggest to avoid the guys at this gym that sign you up. They are extremely incompetent at all levels.

The salespeople at this location are liars. Convinced me 3 years ago to prepay for 3 years and that my renewal would be $14.50 a month. Went to renew and the contract said something entirely different and it was more money than originally quoted by salesperson for the renewal. A major issue with this club is that out of 23 group exercise classes that are not cycle or aqua, 10 of them are Zumba classes and the instructors are terrible. They do not care if you are starting out and do not know what to do. They offer no assistance or training. They make it so difficult that you dont want to come back because you are lost. There are only two aqua classes at night. I am sick of the lack of different classes. Need aqua classes during the day. The other issue with this club that it is dirty all the time - on the machines upstairs there are always peoples used paper towels that have not been disposed of and half of the Precor elliptical machines are not working correctly. Have reported it about 10 times and the people servicing the machines are totally incompetent. The operations manager never goes up there to see what the issues are and nothing is ever fixed correctly. This gym is the worst I have ever been to in all my years. Not sure if I will renew again or not.

Ive been coming to this location for a couple of years now and I cannot understand why the cant maintain the locker room / shower area any better than they do. Ive traveled and visited other LA Fitness locations and this is THE WORSE. They seem unable to keep this area clean or in good repair. One of my biggest complaints (and I have made front desk personnel aware of this with no result) is that theyve had this door, leading from the shower and restroom area to the locker room area, that has been broken for what has to be over 1 year and counting. I SLAMS shut whenever you open it. Some staff members even claim to have been in the locker room and shower many times but has NEVER heard that noise unless ignore what is going on in your workplace. You cannot not hear the noise that door makes when it slams every time someone opens it which you have to do to move from the locker room to the shower and restroom area. The worse part is that Ive told them and I cant believe I am the only one to have done so and it is still not fixed. WHY is that? They certainly make enough money.

BE CAREFUL! They are fraud experts. I contacted them to cancel my membership months ago. As of last night 11/20/13, they charged my card. Not once but multiples times for a total of $153.00!! I cancelled my bank card the same month that I told them I would not be going back. GUESS WHAT! Some how or another they found my new debit card information and CHARGED it with out my consent. The GM TROY! Is rude! They dont care about you as a customer, they act as if they are paying YOU to be part of their gym. Believe me, if you EVER have issues with them they wont take care of you or take care of any of your issues. They hang up on you and state that, "I dont have to hear you," Mr. Jaime loved hanging up on me once and second time I called he just picked up phone and put me on hold. There is no corporate contact, if you call their "So Called" corporate number it will just direct you to a gym in California where they will treat you rude as well and not try to help. Im telling you, you dont have to believe me but I WARN YOU TO STAY AWAY!
