I liked how thinks started, with a "Welcome to the Fade Shop," but then it went down from there. After sitting for a few minutes it was evident that my experience was not going to be a good one. The barbers spend more time blowing air into the combs and clippers than they did actually cutting hair. I was a walkin, and there was no real system to keep track of who came when, they relied on the customers to do that for them. The few people with appointments were not happy because they were behind by at least an hour with those. The entire floor In The barbershop chair area was covered with hair. The pace of the barbershop was entirely too slow, but my opinion could be due to the fact that I am used to New York and Philly barbers. The people were genuinely nice people, who with a little more customer service awareness would have an outstanding business. Unfortunately the niceness of the staff does not outweigh the importance of my time and therefore I will not be returning to this shop, but there is real potential here. Best of luck Fade Shop...

Top notch service. The team here has great personality and it is definitely a child friendly atmosphere. I feel comfortable giving this shop a 5 star rating because that is the type of service I feel I have experienced during my visits here. The team is respectful of the language they use around kids and elders I also do not have to worry about any negative media being played on the television or radio during my visits and they have a variety of barbers to suit several different style needs. This shop is small but always packed with business. I would recommend booking an appointment because walk-in clients usually have a nice wait due to the team already having a full set of Ddeicated clients at each chair. I would recommend this shop to anyonebin the area especially if you are family oriented customer.

The Fade Shop is hands down the best barber shop in North Texas and arguably the country. They already have been recognized nationally as the Best Barber Shop and continually finish in the Top 5. I have been going to The Fade Shop since the doors opened and not once in the past 5 years have I let another "barber shop" touch my hair. All the barbers at The Fade Shop are top notch. Best of all, everyone who gets their hair cut at The Fade Shop immediately becomes part of the family. Every first time customer who walks through the door gets a nice loud "Welcome to The Fade Shop". All the barbers are also great with kids. The Fade Shop is more than a haircut....its an experience. Go check it out for your self. KMD

Do not get your haircut here ESPECIALLY by ozell the owner! We went in 4 times for a haircut and mind you we called ahead of time to see when we could get in and he said around 11 etc wait time 30 minutes etc, etc. we waited 1-2 hours for a haircut one time we walked out because he said he had 2 people in front of us when he had 4! He talks to much and acts like hes owed something. He doesnt value anyones time but his own. I cant speak for the other barbers but he has horrible business practices and is not considerate. If you want to wait several hours for a haircut by all means this is the place for you!

Called in to schedule a haircut. They do accept walk-ins, but I recommend scheduling to get in and out. I got in about 10 mins early and was in the chair by the appointed time. My barbers name was Ozell. He was really friendly. I asked for an all-over even low cut with a side and back fade (as a black man this is important!!!). He easily understood and gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. The edge-up was clean and the fade was perfect. Although its a bit pricey at $20 I would gladly go back because the quality of the haircut and the cleanliness and comfort of the shop.

The young lady (first chair in), short with a nose ring cut my hair. Showed her the picture of what I wanted & she said, "No problem." The end result was ABSOLUTELY bad!!! Then, she trims my mustache and messes it up. She said she would fix it, but after two trys…no good. THEN CHARGES $25.00. I had to go to another barbershop immediately after my experience at the Fade Shop to fix what she messed up. They fixed her mess &&&& charged me less. The next time Im in the Dallas area, Ill pass on The Fade Shop. The young lady needs more training. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

First haircut in Dallas, found this place on Google, place was jammin on Sat morning, but as a walk in I only waited like 20 mins, the young lady on the left first chair was available. Excellent haircut, excellent sports conversation, heard some interesting picks about who is going to the Super Bowl/NCAA National Champs. Pleasantly surprised seeing a Cleveland Browns Helmet on counter, and a Travis Wilson(Browns) jersey on the wall, felt like I was back home....

Dont go to this shop without an appointment. Ive been there 3 times, and left without getting a hair cut on each occasion. One of the times, I sat for over 3 hours before leaving. I have watched how long each barber takes to cut your hair here. I bet they can do better on the time spent if theyll talk less. BTW, on 2 of the occasions, I called to book appointment and was told "were fully staffed, just come in". I know Ill never go to this shop again.

Customer service is top notch but prices are well overpriced! No sign indicating what prices are for hairstyle for new customers. The haircuts are second to none but extremely high prices for a fade/beard trim. I would rate five stars but the prices are well above my tax bracket, Will I continue my bi-monthly haircut? Yes, but I have to budget each month to ensure I continue my travels to "The Fade Shop".

I wanted to give this place a try so I took my son back for haircut #2. I waited over 3 hrs for him to get a hair cut AGAIN. The quality is good, however the amount of time you wait is ridiculous. Needless to say we wont be back. It was nice to find a shop with a quality cut compatible to back home but this place is a joke!! They need skills on time management period...This rate should have been NO stars!!

My experience was great. I got there early and Phil{fadeandblade} got me right in to his chair. I read so many good reviews for this place so cut was going to be good because while i was getting my haircut a class from a barber school came in. So he gave them his reason for wanting to be a barber and that let me know he in it for all the right reasons. I will be returning in 2 weeks

Wow! Warm, homely atmosphere! I called in ahead of time, & Phil was super polite, especially in person. Everyones nice, & Phil made some awesome suggestions. Hadnt got a haircut in months, but I came out looking fresh- love what he did! The place has history to it; theyre in business for a reason. Would recommend easy; on the bus route as well! Come on in, you wont regret it.
