Ive been going to Testesterone Barbershop for a little over a year now. Great atmosphere. Troy, the owner and operator is a nice guy. My main complaint is his timeliness and consideration. The lack of it, to be frank. He is consistently late. Not 5 minutes, not 10 minutes, not even 20. Typically 30 to 40 minutes. The definition of appointment is an agreement to meet with someone at a particular time. Not 30 to 40 minutes after. Many of us lead busy lives and 30 minutes is the difference between being on time or late to our next obligation. Ill preface all of this by saying, this CONSISTENTLY happens. It does not matter whether its early morning, afternoon, evening nor what day of the week it is. Its a common occurrence. Ive been on varying days of the week at various times. I go at least twice a month and hes been on time less than I can count on one hand. I stuck in there due to the convenience of proximity to my job and residence. However, that convenience no longer becomes convenient when youre waiting 30 minutes or more to get a haircut scheduled as appointment. I could get that level of service as a walkin for cheaper. Furthermore, hes unapologetic about it. Which adds insult to injury. Again, nice guy and his haircuts arent half bad. But if youre looking for a barber in the area thats considerate of the clients time and believes in being punctional, Troy is definitely not your guy.

Apparently barber shops in Dallas dont know what appointments are(see my Art of Shaving review). Since AoS wasnt able to honor their appointment time when I went there, I decided to book an appointment online for Testosterone Barbershop. I got an email letting me know to be there at 10:00AM(the time I selected) from the barbershop. I paid for my parking at Deep Ellum. Walk up to the shop and guess what, its freaking closed. The website says it opens at 7AM and the sign on the door said 9AM, but it was closed at 10AM. They need to update their times. I called the number on the door, no answer. I replied to my confirmation email and no response. This place along with AoS wont be getting my business unless they make up for it.

While on a trip to Dallas, I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel. I looked up Barber shops near me, and Testosterone Was within walking distance. Typically the shop is by appointment only, but the owner/Barber Troy King was able to squeeze me in. He was very concerned with how i wanted my hair, and was very kind and made good conversation. I was completely BLOWN AWAY by his attention to detail. After the cut he applied an aftershave leaving my shaved sides fresh and comfortable. He is definitely the best barber in Dallas! So if your looking for an amazing haircut with a classic barbershop environment, Testosterone is the place for you.

Troy does a great job as a barber, but a horrible job with time management. Ive been in about 5 times and each time Ive had to wait in access of 30 minutes. There was one time that was my fault, but only once. My last appointment was cancelled after Troy texted me saying that he was running an hour late. He offered me a free haircut. I just went back for my free haircut and left after waiting 30 minutes. Its extremely disrespectful to your customers to not adhere to appointment times. Whats the point of making an appointment if you have to come in and wait 30+ minutes? Never again...

Not the best experience of getting a hair cut or beard trim. A little over priced for the job done, and for the amount of time it took to do cut and trim I would have figured it would have been better. Not the cleanest shop I have been to either. I asked before I came in to the shop if anyone working specialized in beard trims and was told yes that everyone was. Upon arriving only one older woman was working. Nothing against her but if you didnt know how to trim a beard just say so its really not a big deal.

Came in at opening (which according to the door is nine not 8:30), and there was one patron. I was trying to get a slight trim (buzz the sides and clean the beard a bit) but somehow they werent able to until 4pm. Like I said, one customer. Obviously they arent in the business of cutting hair, they are in the business of creating false supply and demand to make their store seem more desirable. No comment on the service provided as I did not choose to wait 7 hours for a trim.

I had the pleasure of going to this barbershop Wednsday. The barbershop has a good feel of downtown i really liked the theme. I started with a woman barber who I think was fairly new because she didnt know how to cut my hair. However she was really nice and friendly Troy came and walked her through and showed her a few tips and I walked out with a top not h fade. Would reccomend to anyone especially Troy hes got skills.

To accurately describe how my experience was so unique we need a new word for it. Constant hair compliments from strangers. Never have I recived flawleas customer service and total attention while being in a barber. Troy King gave me a haircut that was the best haircut I have ever recived. And only his Devine hands may touch my hair again.

The shop is awesome, nice environment, great service and of course, the haircut is precise! It costs more than the usual barbershops iv been to but if you can afford it, it is worth it. I might not go there always cause of the cost but once in awhile, Ill definitely give me hair the good treat at this shop.

Walked in at 6:15 for a 6:30 appointment, and was told at 6:50 that Troy would not be able to take care of me because his friend walked in with his kids and said he had to take care of him before he closed, I guess appointments mean nothing here I will not come back here again. 0 stars if I could

I got a haircut and shave from the owner, and experienced nothing sketchy as noted by the wedding party. The atmosphere was friendly and laid-back (which I look for since Im not all about the salon-experience) and the attention was meticulous--something that I appreciate in a barber.

Troy is the best barber in town. The attention to detail is second to none. Ive been coming to Troy for about 6-7 years and my haircuts and beard trims are always on point. They mainly work by appointment, which is cool because you know when you walk in youll get your haircut.

Drove up from Lubbock to get my beard trimmed. Couldnt be more pleased with the job Troy did. The attention to detail is great, wish I lived closer, so I could go more often, but will definitely be stopping in anytime Im in the Dallas area.

Fantastic haircut that was better than what I asked for. Prices are a pricier than nearby barbers, but well worth it. I will definitely get my haircut @ Testosterone again. Next time Ill try their online appointment system.

Troy is by far the best barber in town, and Ive been to ALOT of shops. If you have a beard, only go to him as he is the best at shaping your face up.
