I am in absolute disbelief, they Shaved my HEAD!!!!!! I walk in at 11:30 today and they tell me it will be a little wait as there is one in front of me. I wait 35min what is about right and everyone is really nice and looks like good banter is going on. Perfect. The guy in the last chair grabs me in turn and asks me what I would like, I tell him a Bald-fade with very little off the top as I am trying to grow it out some from where it was. Pretty simple common cut for guys these days. He grabs his clippers and gets to work on the fade portion of my cut, he never lets me face the mirrors in this time but I know he is doing well just on his fade. As he starts to blend it to the top he pulls out his scissors and starts trimming the top and just evening it out. Then the Magic happens, he spins me around a couple of times as the mirror flashes in-front of me, grabs his trusty clippers and hits me right down the middle with a number 4.......... I looked up at him trying to see what he had attached to the clippers and a couple more quick passes I saw all of my hair fall. he takes off the back clip on my robe and hits the back of my neck with a razor, I know the damage is done. I ask him why he cut off all of my hair and he gets really offended, acts like I did something wrong and tries to tell me because my hair was uneven up top, well that may be but that is because you just cut it!!!!! As I sit there in his chair I ask him what we are going to do, he says well we cant put it back as I stare at him in shock, as I walk towards the door he is on my tail and I say you dont expect me to pay for this and he says yes, why would you not I fixed your hair. No....... you absolutely just destroyed my hair, and then acted like it was my fault. I have never in all my 37 years had someone do what you did to my head.... its like you gave me the hair cut you wanted and not the one I asked for. Never again!

This place isnt called Sovereign anymore, which confused the hell outta me. I walked around the building for 10 min, convinced this barber with a different name was trying to steal customers from the real joint around the corner (lol). That small detail aside, I had a great experience here. It seems like its just two guys (and a shoe shine guy) running the place, so the venue has a very personal vibe. Both of the gentlemen made pretty hilarious commentary the whole time, both were polite, and I left with a good cut for just $20. This place is gem hidden among seemingly countless overpriced salons tailoring to men. Go here instead. Heres what really got me, though -- despite that I walked into my appointment 10 min late, despite that they only had two barbers, AND despite that two guys seemed to be waiting for their haircut, Roberto saved my chair. That was a totally unnecessary gesture on his part and it meant a lot. I would have had to cancel my appointment had he given someone else that spot. I will definitely be coming back!

Came in for a haircut, gentleman at counter seemed confused of schedule or availability. Said it would be 45 minutes (2 barbers cutting hair-1 customer waiting) I said no thanks I cant wait he said oh wait turned around looking at barbers then back to me you can be next. Took a seat and waited about 10 minutes for barber to be done. Barber takes a seat in his hair and starts watching a movie along with the gentleman behind counter. I sit there in disbelief and get up and walk out. Really?? Lol what a joke. From the reviews sounds nice. Customer service is terrible regardless of the cut you might receive.

Robert is the man! He listened to what I wanted and did a fantastic job. I was a little worried because African American hair can be pretty difficult for some barbers but he is a true pro. So if youre on the edge and looking for a guy that can cut a black mans hair hit up this shop and talk to Robert. He also did an amazing job on my face. You will end up paying about 35 for both but its worth it. Dont forget to tip this master hair sculptor.

Juke has been my barber now for almost 6 months. He is hands down the best barber Ive been to. Takes his time, really knows what hes doing and the rates are extremely reasonable. If you are going to a chain hair cuttery or another barber shop, I 100% recommend seeing Juke or Roberto, its not even close. Its pretty easy to find parking at their location too.

Juke has been my barber for over two years now and hes AMAZING! I call him my "hair doctor". I can show him a picture and he can replicate it better than the picture. Hes super friendly, very detail oriented and always willing to work with my schedule. He goes above and beyond to make sure I leave his chair satisfied. Could not ask for a better barber!
