SO
Some Unethical Clients Lately
Pros: They try to operate as professionally as possible, given that they are in Denton. Cons: Now doing business with unethical clients that expect *you* to pay for the drug test-Very few IN TOWN clients. This used to be THE best agency in town when they were owned by the Snelling Company For example, If you encountered a dishonest/unethical client or say,a racist job site manager, &/or your shift was canceled/or abbreviated thru no fault of your own. They would automatically pay you 4 hrs "reporting pay" for your time wasted going to the job site.. They no longer do this courtesy now that they are a franchise operation. Given that a goodly portion of the assignments they pull are out of town, the transport costs for canceled or abbreviated shifts can add up VERY QUICKLY. They also would NOT require you to pay out of pocket for any client required drug testing. They are now dealing with clients who refuse to pay for the drug tests,(see below) However, in the last year or so,they switched to franchise, and are now associating with clients that lack basic ethics such as Inmans auto rescue/auto towing in Lewisville/Denton.*(Remember that thing about the employee being required to pay for the drug test?)**** They also work with clients such as Morrison milling, that expect the employee to spend $50+ on OSHA REQUIRED equipment that the client should be providing on site for 3 day assignments that arent worth the investment The math just doesnt add up for most people. They also have very few assignments that are actually IN Denton. A goodly portion of the assignments are in outlying areas or even a county away. Overall, i dont disrecommend them, because theyve generally been decent over the years Ive worked with them. When they were company owned, they actually fired a client over racist comments he made over the phone Ive never forgotten how impressed i was over this. (circa 2004) But, given the switch to franchise operation, and the questionable clients they are working with lately, Specifically Inmans auto rescue/auto towing-lewisville- denton sites. I advise care, caution, and questions, questions, questions before accepting ANY assignment from this office going forward. Now to be fair,, concerning my last assignment: I knew better going in-I had vetted the client on yelp, glassdoor, & google, & I saw the shall we say, numerous, less than stellar, reviews left by customers, employees, vendors and contractors regarding the clients lack of honesty and ethics.-there were quite a few, It was concerning,I admit. Under Duress, i agreed to pay for the UA, and hoped that by being timely and professional,I could avoid the clients toxic office culture rubbing off on me. In the long run, I was wrong in that, and shortly before my Snelling Assignment ended,a floor supervisor for the client communicated clearly that I would be expected to be dishonest with customers going forward I wasnt willing to do that, and Now I no longer work with Snelling. The client also cost me some other money in a different matter as well. I Dont hold Snelling responsible, after all I noted the issues BEFORE I took the assignment.-and to be fair, I COULD have (should have) said "no" But,In the long run, This unethical client cost them an employee that has worked with them for over 14 yrs. Bottom Line: If you choose to work with this office: The number one question to ask,if offered an assignment, is Who is paying for the drug test? If the answer is "you"-DONT TAKE THE JOB.-simply politely decline, and that way, it wont have cost you anything, and you will still be available. The client passing the cost of the drug test on to Snelling is a huge red flag of a client with questionable ethics such as the one noted above. With That Said, I do hope that at some point they realise how much goodwill they are losing by retaining dishonest & unethical clients. I also hope, even tho, i no longer work with them, that they are able to pick up some decent clients IN TOWN .Those rural assignments can be costly transportation wise.

In a very short time, they forget who people are. Again, just a few days, and its like "who?" Almost everyone I know using this service has found a job on their own, way before these people had a chance. The few exceptions I know of, were those who just laid back and relied entirely on someone else to find work for them....and got lucky enough to be remembered at all. So far its been a failure, but some of the people there are at least trying to be nice...

Hanging out at the street corners with a "I Will Work for Food" cardboard sign will get you work before this sorry employment agency will.
