Decent place with great staff in the AM. PM not so much. I agree with M & O, when you drop off your clothes, agree on the weight before you leave. I saw M & Os post so I weighed my stuff and found it was 8 lbs, but I was charged for 10 lbs. I didnt make a fuss since I was getting reimbursed for the cleaning. In addition, though the price they quoted me on the phone was 85 cents/lb, I was charged $1/lb. When I pointed this out, the PM lady said 85 cents is their rate for "regular" laundry like jeans, towels, t-shirts. Things like dresses, skirts and other laundry are a different price. I asked why this wasnt specified when I called and was given a BS answer that they dont want to get into details over the phone and start asking what kind of laundry a person has. Come on! I even asked for the stuff I brought in to be washed in cold water, which is cheaper than the hot water one would hope they use for jeans and towels, so it should have been cheaper if anything. They also charged for hangers (a couple of which got rust stains on my newly-cleaned items) and didnt tell me that on the phone. I would have brought my hangers! They did tell me I could lower the cost next time by bringing my own soap. :) So if you use this place, and Im sure its not bad as wash & drys go, make sure you agree on ALL the details before you leave your clothes - weight, cost/lb, hangers, soap, etc. Then you wont have a nasty surprise when you pick up your clothes. If you can, drop off and pick up in the AM when the nicest lady is working there. She even called me to let me know when my clothes were done, which was very promptly!

(Please note, this review is mainly for the wash / dry / fold service, not as much on the actual washateria portion). Time to give your washer and dryer a rest. D and S Laundry at 1613 Westheimer provides a remarkably efficient and customer-service oriented approach to wash / dry / fold. If you have never used a wash / dry / fold service, give these folks a try at least once - and youll be hooked. Reasonably priced and (depending on the size of the drop off) quite expedient, D and S Laundry will wash, dry, and fold your clothes so all you have to do is drop it off dirty and when you pick it up clean it is ready to go back into the dresser, chest, or armoire. They will place clothes on hangars at your request (fill out the small slip completely, located at the drop off counter) and let them know if you have any special softener requests, etc. (or simply bring the bottle of your favorite scented softener djour) and you will enjoy the beauty of NOT having to do your laundry. Be advised, at a mere $0.79 a pound as of 3/18/08 you may not realize how the cost can rack up - but rest assured, you will be thankful of not having to do this menial chore on your own anymore with this fabulous Houston area laundry service. The time saving economic cost is really what makes this trip worth it. As to the washateria on site, I do not use it, but they have a very neat Ms. Pac Man gaming machine located below a wall mounted television. Catch the news and catch Blinky, Pinky or the other ghosts after you drop off your laundry.

I dont really write reviews, but I feel the Montrose neighborhood should know the laundry service here is not trustworthy. You can bring in your own detergent if you desire, but beware that it will be used for more than just your own laundry. I had always thought they were liberal with my detergent when I would pick up my clothes. But it was obvious when I had bought a new container of A&H detergent (70 loads) and I get it back with almost two-thirds of the detergent gone and I didnt bring in 50 loads worth of laundry if you know what I mean. I brought this up with the owner while picking up my laundry, he didnt seem to care. Its pretty simple: you keep my business by keeping my trust. They couldnt do that, so they lost my business. Now you know my experience, so use them at your own risk for laundry service.

Nothing special or anything to write home about. The equipment was a little dated but everything worked just fine and I got all my laundry done. There is a person on staff to break large bills or issue rolls of quarters. $1.50 for standard washer loads, $4.50 for larger commercial washer loads and $0.25-0.50 per 5 mins. of dryer time.

These people at the washateria literally get paid to point out cars to tow from parking lot !!! car was towed today along with 6 others ..sign is tore down so know one is aware that u will be towed they will also break into ur car to put in neutral!!! I saw it happen $223 later.

Good place. Had an issue with one of the dryers not heating up and informed them. Immediately yet went to look at it. Very cordial and attentive. I didnt see a single washer or dryer that was out of commission. Lots of units. I was in and out really fast.

Friendly owner, nice clients. They have the best machines and dryers are really good. Open till 10 for people that work during the day. No waiting for machines.
