I decided to finally do it and go out and get a Straight Razor Shave. I found Razor King was in my neighborhood and paid them a visit. I was greeted by the owner EJ and made to feel right at home. He set me up with Toya who was very friendly and professional. She did a fantastic job and made my face feel as smooth as baby skin. I was very impressed and enjoyed the experience of the hot towels, tea tree ointments and other treatments they did to get a very close shave. After I was done the owner, sat me back down in the chair and treated me to a "Deluxe Shave" I think he called it, where there were more hot towel and various face treatments to make any stubborn whisker or stubble pop up where he went over my face with a safety razor. This was his demo to Toya on how he does the Deluxe Shave and his techniques. THANKS EJ! VERY SMOOTH and refreshing. I had a blast and glad I went and paid them a visit. I highly recommend Razor King - they have a great Team over there that will treat you right. Im a big fan now of Straight Razor Shaves and Razor King!

When I decided to let my hair grow back out I knew a barber was needed. I went through two barbers because they messed my hair up. I saw Razor King everyday but never stopped so when the time came to get another barber I came on in. E.J., Sai and the entire staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was great. Sai (my barber) hooked me right on up, she listened to how I wanted my hair to look. I loved my haircut and thoroughly appreciated the professionalism & customer service they showed and continue to show as I come and get "chopped" up. In addition, Im an educator and the things they provide for the kids such as the annual school supply drive and Halloween party made me even more willing to continue to patronize this shop. Furthermore, their mobile service for the elderly or those that are handicapped is pretty amazing. Its my prayer they have more continued success and blessings! They have me as a lifelong customer and they havent disappointed me thus far!

I didnt like it because the first 2 fades I got was average and just as good as "Q Salon 1" which is just down the street from them and THEY ONLY CHARGE $7!!! I always go to a barber two or three times to give them a chance to show what they got. They arent bad, but they are average and just as good as anyone out there. So I figured since its just the same, I might as well only pay $7 for the salon down the street. Second, I experienced the same thing. I go inside twice and the board says $15. But the first barber charged me $17?? Ok?? Then I came back a couple of weeks later and got a different dude but I dont remember his name, and this guy charged me $20!! So for that reason I consider them shady for switching prices. The owner should really put a stop on this. For this reason, Im spreading word around all my friends and social media not to come to this place.

Im from NYC. I googled black barbers and they popped up. From looking at their facebook page the main EJ barber cuts very well !!!. The guy that cut my hair sucked. He left 2 patches on my head on top charged $30.00 for my hair and beard needless to say if I do return he will not cut my hair Ill give the main guy a chance and write a better review. I am used to paying $15.00 for a Cut and Shave. Im new in town and just did not want to make a scene. But I will say that it was a nice clean environment with all nationalities coming through and both barbers welcomed me nicely and both had real good attitudes. But I came for a haircut and the guy who cut my hair sucks, so bad I had to leave this comment I would leave his name but I threw his card out and cant remember.

This barber shop is almost an hour drive from my house. I first noticed that there were many customers waiting, but then I noticed the team work being exhibited by the barbers. They assisted each other in between customers to clean up the shop and expedite the waiting process. They masterfully can cut all styles of hair. Next, I noticed the atmosphere. This is not the type of barbers shop with inappropriate language, explicit music being played, or barbers smoking in the shop. The barbers all were very professional. My barber, Yusef West, did a fantastic job, and he was the displayed true passion for his profession. I HIGHLY recommend this barber shop!

I read the reviews, so I decided to give this place a try. I was very disappointed with the customer service and the skill set. The last time I took my son, EJ cut his hair flat on the top and when my son asked him to round his hair off, EJ told him "it doesnt matter how its shaped, you just going to use that sponge thing anyway" and he wouldnt shape it up. Then he gets mad when I come in and ask him to round it off, so he tells me, "dont worry about paying me, I cant deal with the drama. You can just find somewhere else to go". I really tried to like this place but that was very discourteous and unprofessional. If I could rate them a 0, I would.

I would venture to say that this barbershop is the best in Houston. What sets them above the rest is their unprecedented skills with the straight razor. I went in this afternoon around 430pm and got the cleanest, crispest, and freshest beard line up/edge/trim with clippers and razor Ive ever experienced. Expect a good wait time. Yet my wait time equaled the time my barber (Avery) spent on my barber services. Good, reasonable prices too. Great customer service too. So if you want to look like a BOSS with the freshest and cleanest look in the H then check out dem razor kingz holding it down on that northwest side of the H!

I had a tough time searching for a positive rated rated barber shop in my area with little negatives. On a whim, I searched "best barber shop". Razor King came up first in the list, and of course based on the reviews, decided to give them my business. I was not disappointed. A lot of reviews comment on the wait, and although there were quite a few that were waiting for a particular person, I was able to immediately get in just needing a beard trim. Sai took care of me. I had left it up to her discretion as to how to trim it and I wasnt disappointed. Check this place out, EJ and his team are doing it right.

Visited this Barber Shop today as a walk-in client for the first time. Had previously read reviews and decided to ask for EJ the owner to perform my service. He didnt disappoint. Very professional. Listened to my request and made professional suggestions. Even told me if the cut was not up to my liking after I bleached my hair, to stop by and he would make it right. Super excited to find a great barber in my neck of the woods (Northwest Houston). Will definitely be going back, although on a day that is less busy. I agree with other reviewers that the shop is very welcoming and friendly.
