Id like to say as a current employee, the company has been nothing but good to me, this is the first job that ever gave me something for my birthday; in my opinion that was a very nice gesture. If you dont mind coming to work you are guaranteed to get over 40 hours a week, I average about 47-53 and other drivers average about 60 give or take, plus the over time after 40 hours getting paid time and a half is not bad since most jobs that dont require a degree wont offer you this in the Houston area. The only down side to the company is they dont offer medical benefits, but the other drivers and supervisors are pretty cool so I can deal with it. I was a over the road truck driver for some years and I love the fact that Im able to come home every night and still make more money than most of the big over the road companies like Swift & CRST. The only other down side to it is if it rain heavy in the area you are working in, you get stuck in the mud so they send you home until the area dry up, but usually you will come back to work the following day, I dont have anything bad to say about this company and I would recommend other drivers in fact I already have. I can honestly say I love my job and I havent said that in a while. The job is laid back, you are not allowed to have cell phones on your person, but thats understandable since we all know commercial vehicles, construction sites & big machinery dont mix and its a recipe for disaster.

I worked for this company for 1 year. The pay started at $14 an hour, very bad trucks to drive and if you get a ticket in the truck its on you and they do fix nor keep the trucks in good running condition. The tags be expired. You work 7 seven days a week sometimes but they dont allow you to clock in o. Sunday to hide from DOT. The one person who decides who gets hired is in the Airtex office, her name is Christina, and she hires MANY undocumented people, (illegals. I have nothing against these people). She also keeps those employees that by far fail drug tests and allows them to keep operating these large killing machines we call trucks and heavy equipment. Her sanity should be tested. They have people in managerial positions that clearly are not qualified. Non of the upper managers care about the outside workers well being. Pitcock, the owner, does NOTHING to make the job safe for the employees on the outside in no way. The safety meetings are a joke, people blowing smoke up your rectum. They offer insurance with a $6000. deductible, really? Thats just for yourself, adding family is out of the question. This company can be good to work for if all the feces is cleaned out.

Many years ago I was employed by this company. My brother and father worked there and three of my uncles. I think two of my uncles are still employed there. My experience with them was awful. T hey had hired me to be a painter and part of my job was to driver a two ton truck pulling a large air compressor. This job required me to be 21 years of age. However I was not but 18 they had me drive the truck for 4 month and called me in to the main office one day and told me that my work was more than satisfactory but that I was being relived of my duties due to my age. I was going to be given a new job as a labor. And pay would be going from $ 12. 00 per hour To $ 7.00 because thats what they pay labors. Needless to say I didnt accept my new job and moved on.

.If I could give it -5 stars I would. Texas DOT has contracted this negligent and disgraceful excuse of a construction company to do road work on I-45 and they cant seem to tell their port-o-can from the construction area. Either way nether one is properly lit, marked, barricaded, signed, or barricaded from the general public. I was left to believe that the unmarked road was the detour to get to Houston Garden Center, only to have SEVERE damage done to my vehicle from an unfinished road not blocked off. When I contacted John Wofford he told me it was not their problem. Texas DOT, and Webster City should be ashamed to have such a negligent disgrace working under their name. I would be embarrassed to employ such idiots.

The supervisors here treat their employees terrible. I dont know if the owners know what is going on locally, but something needs to be done. The onsite supervisors do not allow employees to drink water throughout the day, even in these hot summer months!!! Im afraid it is going to take something drastic, maybe even a death, to address this problem. With the economy the way it is, employees are afraid to say anything. I do not work for the company, but am very close to a few people that do. This is not to get anyone in trouble, just hope the right person reads this.
