I have taken my children to La Petite Academy in Kingwood, Texas for about a year and have been completely satisfied with their interactions with my children. My son loves the after school program and looks forward to the days that he gets to attend. Furthermore, my three year old began in the two year old classroom and had a difficult time adjusting to going to daycare, as well as significant separation anxiety, but Miss Kayla was wonderful with her and she now gets excited on the days that she goes to school. I believe that the toddler/pre-kindergarten teachers do enjoy the children and their jobs. The staff was more than accommodating as far as allowing us to call to check on the children and giving us updates throughout the day. I appreciated their reassurance and willingness to comfort not only my children, but me as I navigated the difficulties of having to leave my child while she was clearly upset. However, I have had several problems with payments. In that, I have paid tuition only to find out later that I owe a balance. The most recent issue has proven to be too much for our family to take and we will no longer use La Petite. We pay in advance for up to two months at a time, with our most recent payment totaling over $700.00 for only two days per week of childcare. After articulating clearly to the assistant director the dates our children would attend, we believed that their tuition was paid in full for the remainder of their time prior to the holiday break. Two weeks after their last date of attendance we received a call telling us that we owed another $128.00 plus a $30.00 late fee that they agreed to waive if we would merely disregard the fact that we do not owe them anymore money and pay the additional fees. We expressed our dissatisfaction and asked for the assistant director to call us as she was gone for the weekend, so that we could discuss the matter and attempt to determine why we were being charged, but received no return call. After the holidays, I assumed that she had settled the matter but called again to be certain, only to find that the director had turned our account over to a collection agency despite our dispute of the charges, and our need to discuss the matter with the assistant director who processed the original payment. We have since contacted the corporate office in an attempt to resolve the matter and will update this post if it is resolved through corporate. My suggestion if you are considering using this facility would be to keep meticulous records and have the providers sign every receipt with the dates of service clearly indicated on it, especially if paying in advance. If you have the time to do this, then La Petite would be a great choice for your children, otherwise, keep looking.

I cannot say enough praises about this daycare / Academy. My son started at 15 month old (is now 22 months old) and has flourished with the curriculum and care he receives daily. After a few months of attending, he had learned several sign language signs to communicate basic needs as well as coming home with new words almost daily. His social skills are greatly improved as well as he is no longer stressed when introduced to new kids to play with or meeting new people The teachers and staff genuinely LOVE their job. Ms Amanda is AMAZING....she is so loving and calming and involved. I could not imagine my child doing any better at any other facility. I highly recommend this facility with their caring teachers and staff alike. I can call at any time to have someone personally check on the status of my child (as I did right after he started and when he had tubes put in his ears). I am always greeted with a smile and a friendly face (after putting in my personal code to gain entry into the building....security I feel good about). I cannot think of anything I would change about the facility other than updating their payments online to show credit immediately (instead of 48 hours)....although I believe this to be more of a Corporate issue and does not reflect on this location specifically.

I looooooooooooooooove it here so much!!!! I have woked at 2 different daycares one that is La petites competetors and I looove it here so much. The teachers are so wonderful and the front staff is awesome. I looove when I am dropping off my daughter she is excited to be going there in the morning and when I pick her up she is just so happy and playful. Really helps not being with her all the time so much easier. The student ratio is wonderful I never see too many kids for just one teacher which sometimes can be a problem at daycares. They have tons of extra activities for the older ones to do that I can not wait to put my daughter in. We will be here for a long time no doubt. I couldnt imganine taking her anywhere else. I also never saw one bad review over the teachers or school when looking at daycares for my daughter so that just makes it over the top. I give this school a 5 star rating because I couldnt be more satisfied in the curriculum and customer service here.

SO HAPPY TO BE BACK IN KINGWOOD! My son started going to La Petite when he was just a few months old until he was two years old. We left to move to the Woodlands and just returned back to Kingwood. We immediately enrolled him back into La Petite. Within the past month his attitude has completely changed - He is sooo much happier and has learned so much. On July 4th my family was shocked that at 3 years old he was able to tell us about the "50 states and 50 stars", Due to my work schedule our son is usually one of the first to arrive, and one of the last to leave. He is always so excited to be dropped off and half the time I have to bribe him to leave. No school is going to be perfect, but this is about as good as it gets. As a mom, knowing my child is loved and cared for and is having fun and learning is all I can ask for.

We love it here! When it was time for me to go back to work after having my son, I was more than skeptical about day cares. I went to every one in the Kingwood area and luckily found La Petite. Everything about La Petite is AMAZING. They greet my son and I everyday like family, and make my son feel right at home. It is so hard to find people that will genuinely care about your children, and that is what the teachers at La Petite Academy do. He is always so happy when I go to pick him up and learns something new everyday! The director, Joanne, always keeps me up to date and informed, which I love. Shes a mother herself, and is the "mother" of this center. I know every morning that with Joanne and her teachers, I have nothing to worry about! Thank you La Petite!

My daughter has been attending La Petite since she was nine months old. She is now two and has learned so much during that time. La Petite is not a baby-sitting service, it is a school. She can already count to ten, knows her ABCs, can put simple puzzles together, amongst other things. This is what average kids at La Petite learn. Joanne, the director, is so dedicated to La Petite. She runs a high-quality school and is extremely knowledgeable in child development. She only hires the highest quality teachers. We are very happy there. I will be putting my daughter in their Spanish immersion program once my daughter is in Kindergarten. If you want your child in a high-quality learning environment, this is the place to take them.
