Review of Spirals Day Camp: Make no mistake, this is not a day camp. It is day CARE services that are provided. No one greeted my campers, heck, no one even stood up to show us where to put our backpack, etc. I had to *request* someone to get up and physically come over and welcome us on their first day. They did not double check that registration papers were completed on a camper and therefore went all day having no emergency contact information on a child. Good thing there wasnt an anaphylactic reaction or an emergency! My child reported the pool was "really dirty" and there was no designated lifeguard. The counselors sat around talking on the deck of the pool. The horseback riding was led by a man who, instead of encouraging a reluctant rider, degraded her in front of her peers and didnt stop until she was crying. Counselors even told my child that they had had multiple issues with this person and he was known for being "really grumpy." Umm...why would you let this person continue to work for your business ? The facility itself is dirty. My shoes stuck to the floor. The toddler play area was *disgusting* with books and toys piled layers high (and this was not at the end of the day either). The weekly "theme" is a joke. I think they did one craft related to the theme. There was no goal setting as described on the website. I could go on and on but the bottom line is this: do NOT leave young children here unless they can fend for themselves. This is definitely NOT like other prominent day camps in the area (i.e. Camp Thurman). Do not expect a well-supervised, clean facility with a purpose, goal and structure. My child did report she had fun and Im glad. But we will most definitely NOT be back. We are used to a camp like environment and I dont have expectations of pristine, perfect camp but I *do* expect professionalism, organization, a clean facility with staff who appear eager to do their job, prioritize safety concerns, etc. This was NOT seen at this facility.

This is for the Ed-Venture camp for 3-5 year olds. I paid $210 for my 3 and 5 year old to attend one week of class. Included was a $10 registration fee, and a $10 fee for paying in advance and holding the spot. The first day I took them, I was greeted by the woman behind a desk and instructed where to go. The building is very small, and hard to maneuver when carrying an infant carrier and 3 small kids at my side. The first couple of days didnt quite meet my expectations. They were both excited to come home, and didnt talk about their day much. The first day my son came back begging for water, and said they gave him juice but no water. When we got home I hadnt even put my stuff down and he was getting water. One of those days they rode a horse and came back completely covered in mosquito bites, and smelling like bug spray. After the first day I was barely greeted at the door, the woman at the desk just gave a quick glance over from her computer to say hello. Anyone could just walk in there. I picked them up 5 minutes late one day and there were kids running all through the halls, a child was on the table in the "classroom" and when my daughter was using the restroom the door was open with a teen girl standing watch in the very busy/tiny hall. So anybody that walked by could see her. They were never really excited to go, but always to come home. On Wednesday my daughter said some things that were highly suspicious to me regarding her bathroom experience which is why we just quit going. She told me she didnt want to go back because its scary, and she wants to stay home with me. Not even a week into the camp and we quit. I cant imagine a whole summer there. Horrifying. I can tell the lady doing the camp for their age group was overwhelmed and I wouldnt be surprised if she lost her temper with the little ones.

This business does not make the safety of children a priority. My child got physically and emotionally harmed here due to their gross negligence. If only I had read the other negative reviews online before placing my child in their care! The child to adult ratio was much too high and the staff that was in the building was not attentive to the needs of the children who were left under their care. I came early to pick up my child and witnessed many issues that concerned me. I fear for the safety and wellbeing of all children who attend Spirals Gymnastics. This business needs to be promptly investigated by the state and shut down for numerous violations. I plan to follow up with legal action to ensure that no child will be subjected to the same neglect and abuse as my child. I simply cannot allow something like this to happen again to another child. I have a duty to protect other children and ensure their overall safety. I feel that I have a moral obligation to warn others about Spirals Gymnastics and prevent the company from engaging in dangerous and unethical business practices. Please heed my warnings. I am deeply concerned by the poor manner in which this business conducts itself.

Second summer of fun for my child, age 6.5! Extensive paperwork to ensure proper contact information. He has a peanut allergy and I am not worried in the least for his care. In fact, he started asking about when Edventure Camp started about 2 months before school let out. Midway through the 1st week, he said he wanted to come the entire summer even while staying at his dads. While I work, it allows me peace of mind that my son has a safe, enjoyable place to learn, get exercise, and play with friends. It is a convenient location and the staff really cares. It is a great sign when the staff the next year is mostly the same core group of folks! The cost is affordable and the value is definitely worth it! He loves the outdoor activities, horsemanship, swimming, gymnastics, etc. Whether one day or 5 days, he has a blast and I enjoy hearing all about his Ed-Ventures over dinner! Thanks, Spirals, for offering this top notch service :-)

We love Spirals! My kids ages 3 and 5 have been a part of several of the Spirals programs for almost two years now. We all love the staff and programs. The level of care that the staff provides is next to none. Thanks to the Edventure Academy program my daughter will go into Kindergarten more than ready! She did several weeks in camp last year and will again this summer! She was ecstatic every time I told her she got to go for the week! I have sent both girls to Friday Night Fun and they have an absolute blast! So much so that my 5 year old begged to go this last time even though her grandma was in town! She came home raving once again! I am so grateful for a program that promotes physical activity, creativity and learning for my kids, and for teachers and staff who truly love my kids and their jobs! Thank you Spiral Gym for everything you do!

My daughter already takes gymnastics at Spirals and has done so for almost 3 years. Ms. Amy is a fantastic teacher and has quite a bit of experience. This is our first year to try the Edventure camp and my daughter loved it! The first week was full of activites with a course outline of what was planned for the week. After completing specific skills campers receive recognition at the awards ceremony the kids put on at the end of the week. Medals and ribbons are handed out to all the campers. The Parents are invited to see all their hard work. What a fantastic program. Wish I would have enrolled her years ago! Thank you to the entire staff at Spirals, I love all of you. Jimma you are so personable, the counselors are truly "kid-friendly" employees and you can tell by how much they sincerely care about the campers.
