Both of my children have been BLESSED with going to the Eldorado Kids-R-Kids. We started when we moved to McKinney 2 years ago. My son was 3 at the time and had never been to a formal day care before (he was an at home day care before). I had my fears of what a traditional day care would be, but the moment I walked into Kids R Kids all of my fears were put to rest. This place is fantastic!!! You are greeted by a warm and affectionate front office staff the moment you walk in and EVERYONE knows your name and your child’s name. The teachers are fantastic and truly love these kiddos and what they do. My son has leaned so much because of their exceptional curriculum and I know that next year, when he moves on to Kindergarten, he will have a fantastic foundation under him, and it is all because of Kids R Kids. My daughter has been here since she was 9 weeks old. Again I was a terrified Mommy with her being so young, but the teachers in the infant rooms are amazing. You can tell they have a true calling to be with these little babies and they not only take great care and show love for them, they take great care of the parents as well (reassuring our fears and making us feel a part of their daily routine and activities even though we are not there). My daughter is not 14 months old and can communicate through sign language and is learning fantastic social skills being with the other students and teachers. I honestly cannot say anything but incredible things about the Eldorado Kids R Kids!!! I would highly recommend them if you are in need of child care.

Kids "R" Kids Mckinney is a great place! My son is currently 22 months old and has been attending this location since he was 7 weeks old. He has been through 3 different rooms and had GREAT teachers in each room. The children are fed well, learn, have structured activity, and are loved. Even as an infant my son brought home "artwork". He was able to communicate with sign language when he was only one. The staff are very welcoming each morning and afternoon and give my son lots of love daily. We are expecting our second child in January and she will be attending Kids "R" Kids as well. Most all daycares have some turn over rate. Being a teacher myself I can attest to how difficult it can be to grow children and it is not a job that it cut out for everyone. I respect Mr. Matts decision with the recent letting go of the director. She was very personal with the children, but I know that it was in the best interest of the children. The new director did not just answer phones. She has been the office manger for quite some time. She handles situations very professionally is always the person I have gone to if I ever have issues. When there have been any issues in the past (very few), I let her know and it was handled immediately. I look forward to seeing this center shine with Mrs. Stephanie as the director! Tiffany Johns

Teachers were nice. My child was in the toddler room and stayed sick. 2 weeks after being there she caught a cold, and was never able to get rid of it which led to ear infections, needing tubes and eventually pneumonia; because every child in her classroom maintained yellow and green runny noses from day one until a few weeks ago. I called the assistant director to report it in march, and she said the teachers are supposed to keep their noses wiped. In reality with 10-13 toddlers ages 13-18 months, its impossible to expect teachers to try and contain germs amongst the kids. They had too much unstructured time where they literally walked around and sucked on each others toys daily. I know kids will get sick in daycares, but the staff can take measures to prevent the spread of germs which I did not see occurring here. When I told the director why I had to pull her from the school, she replied with a long list of protocols that staff should follow and also insultingly said "to my knowledge kids dont catch ear infections." So not the most professional or compassionate response, and thats why I have the low rating. They need to do better with germ control. You pay for 5 days/week, but you never really get that because the kids stay sick and have fevers so often that you have to keep them home.

I just wanted to bring light to the excellent job Ms. Ashton and Ms. Yessi have done with our daughter. I have monitored her improvement every week...and its amazing. I feel thats in direct relation to her teachers. Considering that she spends 40 hours a week with Kids R Kids McKinney. Our daughters vocabulary, verbal communication and comprehension, and math skills are in lack of better words, amazing. Ive noticed both Ms. Ashton and Ms. Yessis interaction with our daughter as well as other kids. These 2 are amazing teachers for such an young age. I feel we are very lucky to have them. Our daughter talks about them often with very kinds words, which makes me (a very involved father), feel at ease knowing she is in good hands. I cant speak for other parents, but these 2 ladies are an asset to KRK. Please let them know that we could not be more pleased with the work you are all doing. We are very happy to be a part of the KRK family!

Our daughter has been going to Kids R Kids since she was 12 months old and absolutely loves it. Every morning when we tell her it is time for school she runs for the door. This morning, when we arrived at Kids R Kids, I set her down and before I could tell her bye, she was running down the hall, giggling, right into the arms of her teacher. It is a great feeling knowing that your child is in a safe, nurturing, learning environment when you cannot be around her. They also have cameras in each room so that you can check up on your kid throughout the day! Stephanie and her staff are all wonderful and extremely friendly. Every one of them knows each kid by name! The curriculum is also impressive, especially for a 2 year old. Our daughter is able to communicate through sign language! Something she definitely did not learn at home! We could not be happier with Kids R Kids and would gladly recommend them to any and all.

My daughter only attended for three months and the teachers were nice and everything but she would come home filthy, covered in her lunch almost everyday. I even provided disposable bibs every single day for their convenience. Also, I think every parent should know that some of their employees are sitting in the corner where the camera cant see to use their phones for texting and taking pictures of/with children and posting them on social media. I definitely do NOT feel comfortable knowing my childs name, age, and school might have been made public. I also think they should randomly drug test their employees. It terrifies me that an employee may have been high on marijuana while "tending to" my daughter.

Its amazing to me how people dont really take child care seriously. My daughter attended for 2 months and they were the worst two months ever. She cried every time she got dropped off and I spent most of my time viewing her online because of the insecurity I had. She would sit alone most of the time. The teacher always seemed so bothered once it came time to comfort my child. The staff is nice but once you get in, they change and dont have the time to to talk to you when you want to find out what the problem is. Take a good look into the facility before you commit. New Management is always so great if you dont change the way things run.
