This is an absolutely amazing school! My daughter has been going there since she was 10 months old and is now 3. She has had a very rough time with school and through communication with the teachers and staff, they recommended getting ECI therapy for her, which I did. After months of rough days, reports written by the teacher everyday, and speaking with the director multiple times, we had her evaluated and discovered she is Autistic. Through the literally months of days of horrible days, tantrums, and behavioral issues they never gave up on her. They always said they would do whatever it takes to help her and us and they always did. She showed remarkable improvements in the last few months and we know it is because of teachers that cared. Last week we had to move her to the Barnyard Gate in Forney in preparation for her starting programs in the local ISD. I knew transitioning her to a new school, earlier schedule, longer school day and a completely new environment would be difficult but in only 8 days, The Barn said that they cant have her at that school because of the behavior issues. 8 days. Thats all they gave her. Called Whistle stop the very next morning and even though they had filled her spot, Renee worked her magic and is able to take her back for a few weeks until we find a permanent solution in Forney. And I dont know if I had ever seen my daughter so excited to go to school the day I took her back. Whistle Stop is her home and they always treated her and us with love and respect. Whistle Stop Richardson and The Barn are owned by the same family but are completely different. I was very disappointed with The Barn and cannot recommend them at all. However, I wholeheartedly recommend Whistle Stop for any parent that is looking for a school that has wonderful, patient, caring, understanding teachers and staff, great facilities (especially the playgrounds), and incredible prices. Three students have already been enrolled based on my recommendations and now a family friend is working there too. Thank you Renee, Michelle, Brandy, Natalie, Laura, Vera, Lana, Telise, Ashley (x2), Melissa, Ginger, Jenny, and Delaney. You have meant so much to my little girl and we are forever grateful to you.

Please be aware of this daycare. Put my 2 yr old twin boys in this "christian based daycare" and had to pull them out in less than one month due to unsafe environment and directors behavior. From the first day, the boys were able to escape few times from the room they were in and one made to the front door and couple times to the playground. Even though, it is clearly the daycare fault of not watching the kids, the director blamed us and threatened that she will kick the kids out from the daycare if they do not change almost every day. When I was picking the kids up, I always asked teachers how they did and been told that they are doing good and improving, but when my wife called in to check on them the director was always telling her that the kids are not improving and constantly reminding about the timeframe for kids to change. One of the kids was dropped by the teacher head down on the ground in the morning and when my wife called in at noon to check on them nobody bother to let her know about the accident, only when she came to pick them up one of the teachers handed her the accident report to sign. Long story short, there is nothing christian in this daycare. Everyday the children spent 2.5 hours outside, watching tv and watching teachers while they are cleaning the room. Also they use older kids to watch younger ones when they short on staff (which is most of the time). Sent kids to Childrens Lighthouse and cant happier. Feel much more welcomed, safe and certain that my kids will be ready for school.

I have to say, when I started checking out places for my son last summer and saw the post below mine I almost didnt even stop by. That would have been the biggest mistake of my life! After visiting and meeting everyone there, it was the first place I walked in and felt truly comfortable about leaving my son with someone else. Renee(Director) & Michelle(Assistant Director) are both beyond amazing about answering questions and taking care of any concerns Ive had. My son loves Miss Veronica & Miss Ginger in the older 2s class, they keep all the kids on a great schedule and have a genuine care for them. I cant say enough good things about Whistle Stop, the classrooms are always clean, the playgrounds are amazing, and they have a great indoor gym when the weather isnt cooperating. They also have fun events throughout the year to keep the parents really involved(lunches, bbqs, open houses, Christmas program, and the list goes on!) I could say so much more, but once you visit it will speak for itself!

Vic B- From the outside looking in.. How is it the teachers faults your children dont behave? They just started. Im sure they dont just have YOUR two kids to attend to. Instead of pointing the finger and trying to play victim.. Discipline YOUR kids for everyones sake
