Update: IDK about the other reviewers, but Ive been getting A LOT of hate messages from LifeSpa workers at this location since posting this review. These harassments have been very consistent and unprofessional. I think its actually quite hilarious and laugh EVERY single time but I still report each incident to the proper authorities. Just FYI. I was an LTF member and was given a chance to try out their spa with my LT Bucks. Me thinks I shouldve used it on PT instead. I noticed many OSHA violations such as the dark pedi room, not much ventilation, the lack of personal protection equipment (aprons, closed-toe shoes, gloves/masks, and an unused autoclave, brand new actually), everyones always on their phones, gossiping, eating/drinking where you get your hair washed, music is so loud like Im inside an Abercrombie & Fitch store for teenagers, etc. Just very unprofessional. I just went ahead and got a massage. It was great! All the massage therapists and facialist in the back are sweethearts and they took care of me like a dream. They work so hard back there folding laundry for everyone. But im rating the Spa itself right now and its a hot mess... Services are expensive, so ask questions. Lots of questions. Also make sure you know exactly what services you are receiving and how much they are since they are not listed anywhere except on this half printed piece of paper. Prices are not even listed on their brochure or anywhere. And the brochure is what is handed to you when you become a member at the gym (if they have any). When I had to pay, I had no idea how much it was. Then they told me it was $110 and i had $200 in LT Bucks, but in two $100 increment so i had to go through the trouble of somehow breaking up the increments into $20s with a team member, which was hell. After that, i found out I couldnt tip the poor girl with it and i didnt have any cash nor could they break the $20 fake money down any further so i technically lost $10 in change and i owe the girl tip when and if I come back to this place. They just need to come up with a better system or something cause that was a terrible experience in itself...paying. I guess I shouldve read the other reviews from Yelp or Google prior to coming in. Thats my fault. I shouldve gotten the hint, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but no, they were right! I dont recommend coming to this location. Maybe Ill check out the other LifeSpa on 281/1604 since I can use my LT Bucks over there. They are MUCH nicer with a newer salon over there on that side of town too.

TL; DR? Basically, this review says this place is amazing. But Im outlining all it has to offer, which is A. LOT. So if you dont want to miss out, read on! Lifetime is an experience, not just a gym. Yes, it costs quite a bit more than other gyms, but if you have kids, the 2 hours a day of child care is invaluable! The child center is a destination, unlike other facilities who only have tvs and crayons, this is an interactive and fun place for kids to climb, build, create, and learn. There are parents night out child care nights available, summer camp with longer hours and by far cheaper than nearly every camp in town, birthday parties, and swimming lessons. Also, karate, family yoga, and more. And thats just for kids! There is a cafe with excellent food, comparatively priced to other healthy food prep places, a day spa with hair, nail, and massage services, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, wet and dry saunas, towels are provided which is a huge bonus to me, plenty of showers, lockers, changing rooms in the womens room, lounge areas (private lounge in the womens room is awesome for nursing mothers!), basketball courts, racquetball courts, rock climbing with provided equipment, yoga studios, cycling, infinite cardio and weight machines and free weights, and plenty of free classes as well as boot camp, team weight loss and alpha (similar to crossfit) available. There are bicycle and run clubs, too. There are personal trainers, nutritionalists, and you can have bloodwork done for food sensitivities, hormone levels and more. They also have O2 monitors to test your bodys response to cardio.... stuff. Im not trained for this, but you run really fast and breath into a mask like Bane. The staff works HARD. Theyre like a family. There are a lot of employees whove been there forever, and some others come and go. If you introduce yourself and come in with a smile, youll always be welcomed and remembered. Its the "Cheers" of gyms. Genuinely a great place when you realize the value and everything there is to offer. They get an undeserved bad rep for being like "GloboGym", but as long as youre not a d**k, youll feel like an Average Joe.

Dont usually review, however felt it was warranted. Nice local employees and gym, however they do not have transparent fees and membership policies. MORAL OR THE STORY: MEMBERS should say explicitly that you only want a one month trial and would like to end at the end of the month in order to avoid 3-4 months of charges. THE STORY: Although advertised as month to month at our initial tour and sign up, from our experience, you are actually automatically signed up for 2 full months and will be charged until you notify them in person (not over the phone) that you no longer want a membership. At the time you notify them, it is considered a 2 month notice and are charged for 2 additional months. My spouse and I only went for three weeks the first month, paid our full balance, then as we stated at our initial sign up, due to business & personal travel did not "renew" for the second month. We felt this was clear as we stated it in our initial sign up and our membership cards did not show record of any other visits to the gym. However we were notified over the phone two months later, that we owed apx.$500. After numerous calls back and forth, we finally received a wavier from Corporate that would only charge 10% of the full amount (something we should not even have to pay). We paid it promptly over the phone with a credit card, and explicitly authorized them to charge only the 10%. But they then changed the 10% and the original full amount on the card. When we notified them of the additional change, Corporate said it was an accident, however it would take a least a week to remove the charge. It is such a nice gym, we had planned to come back at some point when we were traveling less, but the back-handedness of the charges are a real deterrent as well as the misrepresentation at the initial sign up. Why cant people just be honest and clear.

I would give them zero stars if I could!!! we have had 3 theft incidents at lifetime fitness in the past 6 months. We will be disenrolling from Lifetime Fitness after being members since 2007. this is an organization that claims to care for the health and wellbeing of their members, but clearly their members safety is of no concern. My husbands credit card was stolen from his locked locker at Lifetime Fitness at 281 yesterday. he came out after a workout to find his locker ajar, but the wallet (and luckily his Rolex) still in the locker. Today we discovered our credit card to be missing after noticing a charge for $1500 at the Apple store! I spoke with the manager, Ben today. of course, they were apologetic and will "look into it." however, I fully believe that nothing will change. we have had this same conversation with management at the Rim location after 2 other security incidents- we have had our truck broken into in January 2017 and our F-250 tailgate stolen in September 2016 at the Rim location- and we still see vehicles having been broken into in their parking lot! they need to increase security at all locations!! this is not acceptable for an upscale fitness center. we no longer feel safe at any of these locations, and it is costing us a lot of money, not to mention the frustration of settling credit card fraud claims, vehicle repairs, etc. Lifetime Fitness used to be a great place, but management is going to have to engage to make it a safer environment- otherwise they will continue to lose customers.
