Absolutely Outstanding......I have a heat pump system with 4 zones. In May I replaced my Air Handler with a unit from another company. In late November we had a cold snap so I turned the thermostats to HEAT. The outside unit didnt come on, strange. I called the installing company and they sent a tech right out. He informed me that the problem was the thermostats, they needed to be replaced. I said that was interesting because they worked before. Then I was told that the preceding company might have jury-rigged something which they didnt do. Then I said their own person was out and checked the unit for winter and said it was fine. (So if it was fine before, why not now?)(If the thermostats worked before, why not now? - They work on cool, why not heat?) I mentioned that I might go down to 3 zones instead of 4, thought I might be having trouble with the zone dampers. A day or two later I received a call with a quote for about $3,300.00 for everything, new thermostats, dampers, re-route duct etc. (Now I have been in my attic an the rerouting would be all of about 24 inches if that - plus I knew there were other options.) I asked if they were certain the trouble was with the thermostats and the reply was yes. I asked why they did not previously know that the unit worked fine on cool but not on heat. The reply was that there was no reason to check for heat because it was summer. (Interesting response) So I asked how much to just change out the thermostats. After several days a couple of calls to the company and a promised call back which I didnt receive, I called again. The next day I received a call with an offer to replace the thermostats (4) for $200.00 each and a controller board (which I had to ask about) for $400.00. Total $1,200.00. I asked again why the unit was not checked for winter operation when they installed it. The response was something like...when its hot outside if we reverse to the heat we might blow a coil. (Really interesting - wonder if they realize how absolutely ridiculous they sounded) My thought was that their responses and justification for not making certain everything worked when they installed the new air handler, were a little bit about like buying a used car because it looked good only to find out after money changed hands that it didnt start or the brakes didnt work. I might be an old guy (66) but not senile. So I called an HVAC friend in Houston, explained the situation, and he confirmed my thoughts. Next I called ON TIME ELMER who was recommended by my daughter-in-law. The technician, Justin Beck, arrived in about 30 minutes. After troubleshooting he pulled up the schematics and instructions on the Control Unit. The previous company had failed to install a jumper as instructed in the instructions. Repair took less than 5 minutes. Bill was $59.00. DO I RECOMMEND ON TIME ELMER - ABSOLUTELY - AND ASK FOR JUSTIN BECK.

Got a cold call from them a couple weeks back offering a $59 water heater service. After a little bit of back and forth I decide sure lets do it and scheduled an appointment. The day of my appointment I decided to take half a day off from work since they could only show up from 3 - 5. Most companies will give you a confirmation call the day before an appointment just to make sure everything is still ok. I didnt get any type of call. This in it of itself isnt a bad thing as long as they honor their appointment time. Well 5:00 on the day of my appointment comes and goes. No phone call, nothing. I decide to call and find out if they are just running late. I get a VERY frazzled person when I call who tells me their internet has been down all day and they have no way of checking appointments. Fantastic. She says she would call me when she got to her house cause she has internet there. An hour or so goes by and she calls me and tells me she has no idea why someone didnt come by and there were no notes on my appointment. I say fine thanks for nothing maybe we can try again some other time. She says that they can now magically make a post 5:00 appointment. So fine lets set one up for the next day at 5:30. I get a call the next day at about 3:30 from someone telling me they are running late. I said "thats weird how are you running late to an appointment that isnt supposed to happen till 5:30." The caller says "oh ok 5:30 is much better well see you then." 5:30 comes and goes and still no "On Time" Elmer. I call again and Im told that the tech is running a little late and should be out soon. Fast forward AN HOUR still no "ON TIME" Elmer. I call and Im told he is on his way still. I, as many other people, have plans so I cant just sit here and wait for "ON TIME" Elmer to decide its an appropriate time to show up. I tell them if he cant make it here in the next 10 minutes lets just cancel. I say "isnt this the literal name of your company "ON TIME" Elmer." With, I swear, a 5 second pause I get a very large and audible sigh and a "yes sir." The young ladys tone immediately changes. I cant describe the tone but if youve lived here in San Antonio for a length of time you know what type of tone Im talking about. I just pictured a lot of eye rolling on the other end of the call. She says fine, with what Im sure is two snaps of her finger. Theres no apology, no "let us make this right" its just "fine" and dial tone. Which is exactly what "ON TIME" Elmer will be receiving next time I get a call...dial tone.

On Time Elmer turned a nightmare into a dream. We had our entire houses plumbing rerouted after finding a slab leak and many additional problems with the plumbing system. On Time Elmer had it done in three-and-a-half weeks, and that was even over two holiday weekends with a few more days off at our request! Were talking almost 30 holes in drywall and ceilings, and new pex pipes everywhere that water goes. And now, you wouldnt be able to tell where the holes were because Jasons patchwork and color-matching was done so well. I was impressed by their speed and expertise, but even more by their customer service. I received calls each morning to confirm theyd be out that day. Sure enough, they arrived on time! They kept my furniture and decor protected with plastic—taped floor to ceiling—and they took it down and cleaned up every day before leaving. The crew spent extra time on that first weekend identifying and fixing the problem areas, to make sure I had running water for the rest of the weekend. Every day, they began with asking me if I had any concerns, and theyd start with those first. They tended to every plumbing issue my 30-year-old house presented, above and beyond just replacing the pipes. David made sure I was happy with the new tub spout, and he never complained at how picky I was when it took several tries to find the one I liked! Mark McGoon, the master plumber, wrote up a detailed report and cost summary for the insurance adjuster. He even came that day to meet with the adjuster and explain everything in detail. The adjuster was impressed and thankful for the cost summary, and commented that it was a reasonable price for all that work! He also said that in all the insurance claims hes handled, he has always been impressed with the quality of Elmers work. Insurance covered most of the work, due to the detail that Mark put into reading my policy and planning ahead for that meeting. We are relieved to have the peace of mind that comes with new plumbing. Thanks to Matt and everyone I met or talked to on the phone for making me feel like an important customer!
