WARNING: When I called Twirl Salon, the salon has no receptionist or answering service; instead they have a voicemail that informs you that someone will return your call “soon.” After finally getting an appointment for color and highlights they inform me that they have an appointment in approximately 2 months. Two days before my appointment I received an automated text message reminding me of the date and time of my appointment. I happily confirmed my appointment and after two months of waiting, the day finally arrived and I began to drive to the salon location. While at a red light I spot a text message from “Jacky” claiming she was sick and had to cancel! (only 30 minutes notice) When I asked if anyone could fill in for her, she claimed no one else was working this Saturday! I am leaving this review as a WARNING to those who need their hair done for an important event and don’t want to be left hanging. I was unable to speak to management because Twirl Salon’s phone is only set up for messages. AGAIN, DO NOT CHOOSE TWIRL SALON IF YOU SEEK PROFESSIONAL HAIR CARE SERVICE !!!

I have been going to Twirl Salon since it opened. I really cant day enough about the talent that comes out of this salon. The owner Lisa Weller styles hair for major runway shows including New York, Paris and Milan fashion weeks. She inspires and rigorously trains her staff to work towards mastering the art of hair styling. This is not your run-of-the-mill salon. The stylists give their full attention to each client and go above and beyond to achieve their desired look. Its on high-end, but rightly so. All of the hair leaving the salon is beautifully done. I think their signature services are their balayage highlights and wedding up-dos. With such a high echelon of work, it can sometimes be hard for new clients to get an appointment. Just be patient, I promise its worth the wait.

All these great reviewers below must have some magic power that lets them easily get an appointment at Twirl. Ive tried four times over a year to get my hair cut here, and each time Ive left a voicemail and/or an email it takes days, a week, to even get a return call, only to be told the next appointment is weeks away. Fine, theyre busy, but in this day and age, a prompt return phone call seems the bare minimum in customer service. This last attempt, I tried using the "contact us" form on their website to see if it would get me a faster response... and weeks later it still hasnt been acknowledged. Maybe Ive just had bad luck, but whats the point of great reviews if your booking process is so inefficient?

There was a misunderstanding with my appointment so when I showed up, there was no record of my appointment. After seeing my obvious dismay, the girls were very accommodating and were able to fit me in. I want to go back but I am hesitant to make any appointments over the phone again. I will probably just stop by in person to make my appointment. Oh, they have free bang trim so thats a plus for someone with my hairstyle. They also have waxing available too if you want your eyebrows, etc done as well. I scheduled a facial for later this week so fingers crossed that goes well.

Although a guy may not be the best to judge over the quality of services provided at a hair salon. I can speak on behalf of my family, who have been exceptionally happy with the fantastic job provided by the twirl girls! This is by far the most unique hair salon weve ever been to. A cool atmosphere comprised of a friendly and "hip" staff. Our to go to hair stylist has always been ERIKA, unless shes overbooked as she tends to be on occasion! She goes above and beyond our needs, and we always trust her recommendations.

I absolutely love this salon! I have searched for a very long time since moving to San Antonio for a stylist who is talented, friendly and will make my hair look fabulous....I definitely found it in Lisa and Morgan. Best color and cut ever! The entire staff is welcoming and they give you 100% of their time and effort. It may take a little time to get into the salon but trust me.....IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Your hair will look and feel fabulous and you will never go any where else!

I love Lisa and the Twirl girls! Ive been a client for over 5 years, and while Lisa is my regular, Ive had the opportunity to work with most Twirl girls, past and present. Lisa has an amazing internship program, which is why each stylist is so attentive and meticulous. I recommend them to everyone I know. It takes some patience getting that first appointment, but you wont be disappointed!

I am so sorry for the user that had a bad experience, because mine has been nothing but amazing. I moved to town a couple years ago, and needed to find "home" for hair care. These girls do an amazing job, and theyre so much fun to be around. THEYLL BE HONEST WITH YOU ABOUT CUTS, TOO. Got my bayalage highlights today from Olivia, shes really sweet, friendly and very knowledgeable of what shes doing.. I love how they explain every step of what theyre doing, what your hair needs and what further steps to take.. Also, the atmosphere is unique and so artistic! Absolutely the best salon I have ever been to! Gorgeous atmosphere and every one is very friendly and attentive. Jacky is the BEST! She takes her time with you and offers you suggestions on what she thinks would look best on you. Her color technique is gorgeous and her haircuts are amazing. Melody knows how to cut and style my wavy hair which is awesome. I do wish it was a bit easier to contact the salon. The first time going, I was unaware they were located upstairs in the back of Blue Star and tried calling. No answer. Guys, please try to answer! Great, highly skilled staff and a cool salon make up for the answering machine.

I have been a Twirl customer for over four years and have never been disappointed with a haircut or style. My current stylist is Mel, but you cant go wrong with any Twirl girl.
