Before getting started, my stylist informed me that she would be unable to guarantee that she could do a good job on my hair unless it was wet. Issues with this: 1) I have been told by multiple stylist that my hair must be cut dry due to its fine texture 2) shampooing my hair added quite a bit to the cost of the cut 3) if you truly have such a limited skill set even at your senior stylist rating, have you ever considered the use of a squirt bottle. I proceeded to the shampoo station (didnt want to risk her not being able to perform to her best). The shampoo girl proceeds to grind away at my scalp which resulted in a horrid headache and bruising along the entire back of my scalp which lasted for a week. As you may guess, L. Charles will not see another dime of my money. Regardless of whether I just had a stylist with questionable ethics, other stylist could hear the conversation and I do not wish to patronize a business that allows this type of behavior to occur.

I had long hair and came in for a 1 inch cut to get rid of some ends that were over processed. Katelyn seemed confident and fine I figured its an easy task. Just a hair cut. She ended up cutting2 inches off without asking me and let me know after the fact. My layers are butchered. They are not blended and I have a huge cut out midlength. It looks like something a 3 year old would have done. My hair is ruined and I am not AT ALL able to wear it down for who knows how many months. Spoke to manager and she refuses to give a refund unless I go in for them to see it which I cant because I live far. I offered to send photos and she still refused. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE.

I went to get a pixie cut and it was so bad the stylist had to shampoo me again and cut it all over again , then she proceeded to shave the back of my neck with a straight razor dry !! when I got home the whole back of my neck was raw . I couldnt where a shirt with a collar for 3 days and it burned when I took a shower . Holly had cut my hair originally at the school and it was absolutely perfect , Holly I was told doesnt cut hair anymore ( sad ) but I am willing to try one more time and if it doesnt work Im finished trying there . wish me luck !! I live so far away from San Antonio K Charles is so convenient for me .

If I could rate zero stars I would. Ive been coming to this salon for over a year. The girl that usually cuts my hair left. I read good reviews about Jet so I used her this last cut. I went in with mid back length hair and asked for a trim of 1.5 inches and layers. I walked out with nearly six inches GONE and a lopsided cut. I went back to have it "fixed" and now Im left with shoulder length hair. I am so disappointed. I felt like my appointment was rushed and the customer service was HORRIBLE, which is unusual. I ended up going somewhere else to have my hair "fixed" for the second time. I will NOT be back.

K. Charles Salon in Bulverde is a wonderful, full service salon. I have been a loyal, regular customer for 5-6 years, and visit them at least once month for various services. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nancy Perry does my cut and color and she is truly a Master of her craft! I appreciate the fact that this is a non-gratuity salon, and also appreciate that I can pop in with-out an appointment and any one of the stylists will provide me with a complimentary bang-trim. I would never consider going anywhere else.

First of all, Im as picky as they come to choosing a hairstylist and Ill go months with out having a hair cut if I cant find one. Well I hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon K Charles & Co in Bulverde!! Not only did I find a great Hairstylist but I also had my hair colored for the first time EVER! Extremely pleased with Christina and the team at K Charles. Be sure to plan well in advance, Christina books up quick! But is well worth the wait. Thank you to everyone that works there, always a pleasant experience.

5 stars for Sherry- best haircut Ive has in a long time! But I did buy some shampoo which made my hair greasy and when I went to return the product they would not give me my money back but did give me a store credit. Also their hours are limited since they are not open on Sundays. Their prices are high but they are a non gratuity so they wont take any tips. So I gave them 4 stars since there are some things I dont like but really the staff there are great!

This is a truly great salon and a joy to visit! The atmosphere is welcoming, clean and exciting. Staff is responsive to the clients questions and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. My sister, who is legally blind, is greeted warmly each time and treated with extra care as she makes her way from shampoo station to her stylist. Dont hesitate to drop in or schedule an appointment--you will not be disappointed!

The people who work there are not accomodating and are very condescending. I was not pleased with my color and when I told the stylist she told me it was exactly what I needed and it looked better than my old color which I had asked her to match. I did not feel respected or listened to at all and when I tried to tell the front desk they gave me a cold attitude. I had to pay to go elsewhere to get it fixed.

I love my highlights that Cristina gives me. I love the haircut Shelly gives me. I feel so pretty when I leave K Charles. Very satisfied with results.
