I have tried to like the Toni & Guy in Southlake, but they just dont meet the same standards as the other locations I have frequented. I have used 4 different stylists, but this last one took the prize for worst experience ever. The first time I went to her, she kept insisting that I "need to keep my perimeter" (whatever that means) and if I didnt like the cut I could come back. I went back, she fixed it and it was a good cut. The second time I told her I was attending a wedding in Scotland and needed a good cut. She said she was trying a new method and spent 15 minutes at most cutting my hair. She even said she would charge me for a childs cut since it was so simple. (She didnt...) I did the best I could to confirm the cut was okay, but she was too busy hustling me out the door. WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. My hair was like a mop, I couldnt do anything with it and it looked even worse under my hat. I will never step foot in Toni & Guy Southlake again. I dont need a hairdresser who is too arrogant to provide a good hair cut. Plus their customer service is miserable and everyone is rude. I will find somewhere else that provides good customer service and a good hair cut.

I went to different T&G Salons throughout the 90s and early 2000s & never had a problem. When the Southlake store opened, I went ahead & gave it a try since the Dallas-Sherry Ln store had closed. Back then I was sadly disappointed. The stylist only knew a handful of haircuts & over texturized my hair to the point that it looked ratty & overly thinned out. On a whim, I went back (2/26/15) to get a highlight and a cut. The highlight was awful (I cant even explain how bad my hair looks at this point) & the cut was just so-so. T&G used to be full of stylists who listened to the customer & were able to give that customer the cut they wanted. Now, I feel as if the stylists can only pull out a handful of mediocre tricks out of their bags. Not impressed & I will never go back. I am sad to say that the days of the wonderful cuts and colors from T&G stylists are over - this is based on several trips, not just one experience or one particular stylist. I cant tell you where to go in Southlake as I still havent found a good stylist here, but I can tell you that Pompeo Salon in Dallas (75 and Mockingbird) has wonderful people - try Jason for a cut and Katie for a color of any kind.

I work close by so figured this would be a good location to get a new haircut. I have been to many different Toni and Guy locations though out the years and have always been satisfied, but I would never go back to this location. I had pictures of hair styles I was considering, my stylist preceded to tell me he couldnt see the back of the style so he couldnt do it. Then he asked the receptionist what he should do to create the style I wanted. Then he and the receptionist tried to convince me to do another basic hairstyle from the Toni and Guy style book. He also told me "he didnt like" the haircut I had showed him. While styling my hair, he said that I should never leave my natural texture because it would make the style look "kinky." He had no idea how to style my bangs because I had a cow lick. He also asked me what kind of layers I wanted; considering the fact that Im not a hairstylist, I didnt really know what to tell him. I was very disappointed with the whole experience, even more disappointed that it cost me so much for something I didnt want. The service was just so mediocre that I couldnt not write about everything.

So, I let my family member do my hair because she is going through beauty school. (My hair needed to be touched up and she said she could do it) needles to say, I went from a pretty blonde to a blue headed mess in less then 30 minutes. I went crazy!!!!! So! I called up the salon, and they booked me in immediately. I went and was very impressed with the end product. Not only did they pull all of the smurf from my hair but they managed to leave my hair looking 100 times better then what it did originally! I got a color pull, extreme, deep conditioning, cut and style for a super great price. The staff too was pretty friendly. There where a couple of team members who didnt really acknowledge my presents but my two stylists made me feel welcome. Either way I Booked myself for another appointment in a few weeks. Totally would recommend.

I used to go to Toni and Guy in Berlin, Germany therefore I did have some expectations. I have to say I was quiet disappointed. The staff is not friendly at all. They do not offer any drinks nor do they talk to you. Elizabeth did my haircut and I have to say I was satisfied with it. She also talks and is actually nice. Over all I have to say for that amount of money you can do much much better! I wouldnt recomment the Tony and Guy shop in Southlake TX. I am definitely not going back there.

I love it because of Jennifer aka JayLynn. I have been going to her for my hair for 5+ years and even followed her from Hurst to Southlake. She is so sweet and is seriously talented at what she does. If you are particular about your hair, tell her and she will do exactly what you want (razor, no razor, bangs, no bangs, layers, length, etc). Likewise, if you are free spirited, tell her to get creative and she will muster up something hot! I never leave reviews, but this one deserved it!

The staff was very friendly and courteous, professional and talkative. They really made me feel comfortable and not left out since I usually dont go to high end hair style locations. I had a relaxer done on my hair and it was the best jobs ever done. This was the first time I felt no burning or stinging the stylist knew what he was doing and I loved the whole treatment. Im going to get a touch up soon, and hope to have the same one available, cause that was just heaven!

Always a great experience when i got to T & G in southlake. the ladies there are very warming and funny. The cuts are great with lots of time and attention to detail. Sally who does cuts that are not only the style i want, but she makes sure to cut to the way my hair falls naturally. I always get complements from people from her cuts. Brenda does amazing color and even though i dont do color for myself, i have seen people who have and it looks great.

Go to Brenda! She is seriously the best!! She is awesome and so sweet. She always listens to what Id like my hair to look like, and it always comes out perfect. They also use really nice products that smell amazing. I am always so so happy after I get my hair done by her. Best hair salon I d ever been to by far!
