Wow…where to start?! This was a terrible experience!! I went for a renewal mani/pedi and added the parrafin wax, hot stone massage, and foot mask. The woman they put me with was very sweet but her work is of very poor quality. When she was clipping the dead cuticles on both my feet and hands, she left a lot of skin! The Vietnamese women at the other salons do such a great job of clearing all that dead skin, leaving your nails looking so fresh and clean…like brand new hands and feet! And, of course, since there was so much leftover skin, the nail polish looked terrible because it inevitably got on the cuticle. And her paint strokes were very erratic…all over the place! When it dried, you could see all the uneven strokes! And the edges of the paint at the cuticle was all jagged and the paint also got in between the nail and skin on the side…it was as if a little kids painted my nails. Then came the hot stone massage….which ended up being more like the luke-warm stone massage. The hot stone massage is probably my favorite thing to add on to a pedicure for me! So I was so disappointed when these stones ended up being maybe a little warmer than room temperature. And then when she used them, it was like she hadn’t been properly trained on how to really massage with the stones. It was very weak. Again, the Vietnamese women take it seriously…it’s like an art form to them and they are very skilled with it. Then when I got the paraffin wax on my feet, she took my first foot out too soon. The wax hadn’t cooled around my foot yet so when she took my foot out, it left gooey wax all over my toes. Now moving on to manicure time. She took me to the other room to do my nails and there was this other manicurist sitting in there at her station by herself…waiting on her next appointment I suppose. Me and my nail lady were discussing the Olympics and the other manicurist was bored and looking at youtube videos. She then proceeds to walk over to us to show us a video of a bird feeding a dog treats. Yes, it was a cute video…but is that very professional?! This is the Hilton in Southlake, mind you! I should be feeling like a queen while in this establishment! But, wait…it gets much worse. While my nails were drying under the uv lamps, that women comes back over to me to show me yet another youtube video…only this time it was a video of a woman running into her office, shutting the door behind her, and letting out this long, drawn-out fart!!!!! OMG..are you kidding me?!?!? Let me remind you all….this is the Hilton Southlake spa for crying outloud!!! As you can imagine, I was utterly horrified!!!!! Where is the class in this place?!? I acted slightly amused and got up, rinsed off my hands, and got out of there as quickly as possible! I’ve been to little hole-in-the-wall nail salons that had exponentially more class AND had much higher quality work than this place. And for a fraction of the price, no less! This was a shocking experience. I expected so much more from a Hilton spa…and especially the one in Southlake. Do not darken the doorstep at this place. Consider yourself warned.

I made my appointment at the Hilton location to get a hair cut and color. BAD IDEA. Apparently, they arent too worried about professionalism. The "stylist" was wearing sweatpants, and did not even brush the chair off after cutting a boys hair before I sat down. I pointed to the mounds of hair on the chair, and she said, "Oh, thats ASIAN hair, too." I thought that was a bit inappropriate. The formerly tan hair styling chairs were all stained on the backs of them, and they looked just plain disgusting. I sat down and described what type of color I would like on my hair, and she turned and brought me the big chart with all of the different hair samples on it and asked me to choose... isnt that her job? If I were going to just pick a color like that I may as well go to Walgreens and get a box. After this, I was terrified and just had her trim my hair. I immediately called to speak with the owner and divulged all of this information to her. She kept saying what do you want me to do? I told her I just wanted to let her know that I would not be returning. She said she would call me back, and she never did. Surprised...not really. Just. Say. No. This once top of the game Salon has gone downhill. FAST.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! I went in and had my hair cut, colored and highlighted. The highlights were uneven and I had a huge area with no highlights at all. They were brassy looking also. I gave them a chance to fix it and the girl acknowledged that it was uneven and she redid it. I thought it couldnt get worse but, OH IT DID!!! I had other colors added to the mess...more brassy highlights added and she added BLACK....my hair was supposed to be dark brown with blonde highlights. Not only was it awful looking but my hair was DAMAGED beyond all belief from the processes....I have horrible looking hair until it grows out a bit to get it fixed because I didnt want it to fall out after all they had done to it. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND YOUR HAIR FROM BEING DAMAGED AND GO ELSEWHERE!!!! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

Great place, most convenient (Southlake Town Square), talented service providers, lots of parking, valet parking (for rainy days)...I have been a customer for many years at this location and the previous locations and have always received great and professional service. I couldnt imagine anything else. I dont usually do salon reviews (restaurants yes) but saw the previous review and thought this person had to be somewhere else...or they were the owner of a local Vietnamese salon and were hating on the competition. The owner is on site most days and is always available to assist if there is anything possible that could be done to make a customers visit the better and the very best. I fully recommend Terrace Retreat Spa...

I paid $330 for the Couples Romance Retreat massage and pedicure for my boyfriends birthday. The massages were AMAZING!!!! The ladies did an absolutely wonderful job and we were soooo relaxed. 5 stars for the massages. The pedicures, on the other hand, we TERRIBLE. I could have gotten the same pedicure for $20 at my local nail salon. My feet were soaked for 10 minutes maybe, then the lady half-heartedly filed my heels and messily painted my toenails. That was it. 0 stars. Overall the experience was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. If the pedicure would have been at least good I would consider coming back because the massages were so great. But because the pedicure were crappy, I will not be coming back for anything other than a massage.

I had a fabulous facial from Patty and a very solid massage from Louisa. Both women were friendly and let me just relax and be quiet. My only negative is that I wanted to use a gift certificate from the now defunct Me Spa and when I checked out I was told that they needed to verify the amount, then call me, then book the treatments 2 weeks in advance. I am glad that they are willing to accept the gift certificates, but I would have appreciated it if someone had told me all the steps when I told them that I had Me Spa gift cards. Other than that I would certainly recommend this spa.
