I was SO excited for this new Ulta to open near me, as I had some pretty frustrating experiences at the Woodlands location that deterred me from wanting to give them my business any longer. After those incidences, I wanted to call this particular Ulta and verify pricing for a special I was interested in before I got to the store for my appt and to avoid any mishaps again. I spoke with my future stylist (female) on the phone right after scheduling with a very enthusiastic man and wanted to clarify that they still had the D1 deal ($60 base price for cut and color) that I usually try to get when going to Ulta between my higher end (more $$$) salon visits. She confirmed that they did have that deal for $60 and completed my booking for those services. She also stated that it included style, which I told her wouldnt be necessary and I also just needed a trim instead of a full on cut. She said the price would be still be the same as it was all included, which I already knew but was just trying to give her an idea of what I would be wanting done. I went to get my hair done today and the stylist was very nice and did everything to make sure the color came out the way I wanted. As she was washing my hair she mentioned something about the price, and it didnt match up with what I specifically called and verified a few days prior. I inquired about the price increase from just a few days ago. She said that she never knew of it to be any other price. Now I wouldnt have gotten butt hurt about a $15 difference, except for the fact that I specifically called up there to verify the pricing beforehand as I have had this happen almost EVERY time I go to Ulta. And she specifically confirmed the pricing that I inquired about. But even in that case, I know mistakes happen...especially when someone is new to a company. I couldve let that go. What really upset me is when she realized I was irritated and tried to put the blame on someone else. She said that the guy I spoke with must have told me the wrong information. I reminded her that She is the one that confirmed the pricing for me. She then tried to play dumb as if she wasnt the one I spoke to by saying she wasnt even there the day I called. Then she backtracked and said she was. I cant stand it when someone cant take responsibility for what would have been a VERY MINOR misunderstanding. $15 is not a huge deal. I do try to save money on touch ups by coming to Ulta as my hair is very dark and needs colored frequently to cover my few grays, but I wouldnt have been as bothered had she just admitted she gave me the wrong information and apologized. Not that hard! she did try to make me happy by giving me another discount they were offering. By that time it wasnt about the money, it was the principle. I accepted the discount for the color and left with wet hair and no hair cut. I wont ever be back to Ulta Beauty for any service except Benefit Brow bar. Its true what they say...you get what you pay for. Ill stick to My overpriced salons from now on.

Shalonda and Jordon are two amazing hair stylists this Ulta salon got, and Im grateful to have met them and get to know their experience. Jordan was working at the time I walked in and asked to get my hair washed and blowout. She was very sweet and well informed of her hair care while gently washing my hair. Jordan is a MUST GO TO person if you need advice on what hair products to buy for variety types of hair care, her recommendation are amazing and gives really deep information on what whatever she says about hair products for you, TAKE THE ADVICE AND BUY IT. I always go to Jordon for help because theres more than one brand (or Way) that can be used. Anyways, after washing my hair and telling me great information of what hair care I should use, she styled my hair once with the Chi Curling iron she has and it was FANTASTIC how my curls turned out to be. It was a perfect beach wave while Jordan applied a great hairspray (I think it was from redken) and it last for a week!!! It wasnt frizzed up, I could brush my hair and pass my fingers through it while the curls jump back up like it was natural (I have very straight hair). I loved my experience with Jordon, cant wait for the next one! Shalonda is the salon manager and the best one Ive ever encountered with, she was very informing about the starting prices for haircuts and color and very clear when describing what styling tools to use for different types of hair style. She recommended me the Chi Arc curling iron (which they use in the salon) and its OUTSTANDING. Her salon is always spotless clean and organize to focus more on the guest experience and accommodation. She did cornrows on me once and her braiding technique are absolutely PHENOMENAL, plus her talent in updo hair. As a white person, the cornrows looked PERFECT on me, they were smooth and perfectly accommodated to my hair style since I was getting my hair done at the time. Shes so sweet when you get to know her and actually want to help everyone she meets to give yall the best hair experience ever!!

1 of the most disastrous experience of my teens life. I decided to take my teen to this new Ulta for a color root touch up & cut. 3 plus hours later the stylist turned her hair gray. My child had a bleach blonde color that she loved, when we walked in. Stylist didnt listen to what we where saying we wanted, right off she wanted to put an ash blond toner on my childs head. Uhmmm No, I said , that is going to turn her gray. Stylist did it anyway, turning my childs hair gray. She then acted surprised when I didnt approve the color, & removed it Thank God! She charged me 198$ , she was charging me for the double color, I told her I wasnt paying her for turning my kids hair gray, so she took 55$ off my bill & had attitude. She wouldnt even come to the front to check us out, she passed it on to another employee. We left. My daughter Cried like Ive never seen before , sob crying, ladies you know what kind of crying Im talking about. & it was all my fault I just had to take her to Ulta because i couldnt get in with my regular stylist ,moving forward ,Im staying with our regular PROFESSIONAL hair salon at least they listen to the client & know what the Hell they are doing. Do Not Use Ulta Salon They Suck! OK so I have to add more, the very next day i called to speak with store manager Marcie, 3 phone calls all taking a total of 25 minutes of my day, the employees do not know how to get back on the phone to let u know it will be just a few minutes & someone actually picked up & hung up on me, so even more pissed off . Finally talking with Marcie, she apologized & said she would investigate, then follow up with me. To this day she still hasnt contacted me, WOW great customer service (kidding of course). I also returned all the make up I purchased that day at this location , but I bought it all back at another location because I do not want them to have my hard earned money at this certain store, again they completely dropped the ball, they care not, & they SUCK on every level of Suckage.
