I went in on Saturday, October 13th at 11:10AM. My sister, mother, and I were going to have a girls day out shopping that we had been planning for 2 weeks. We decided at breakfast we would like to include getting our hair done and Regis was the most convenient salon. The stylists my sister and mother received gave them their haircuts and they were in and out within 30 mins. I had decided to get highlights (fully aware mine was going to take longer and estimated the usual 1 1/2 hrs) and was assigned to a stylist. Now, I used to be a hairstylist so I know how long things should take and how services should be performed. The girl I got was obviously brand new and fresh out of school. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, which turned out to be the worst decision Ive ever made for my hair. I was in that chair for a highlight and cut for 4 1/2 hours!! I didnt leave that salon until 3:20pm that day. AND my hair looks like I sent it through a lawn mower. I asked for a cut that should have put my hair at my shoulders with some long layers, and its sitting at my mid neck in a mullet. My sister and mother had already completed their shopping and my mood was completely destroyed for the rest of the day. What makes me the most upset about the situation is during the highlights (which is what took so long) there were 3 stylists that were sitting in their chair watching her for most of the time she was putting in the highlights. When I worked at Wen Chic Salon & Spa in Katy, if there was an obvious newbie struggling and you had time, you helped them out so the customer would at least come back to the salon. I have no interest in visiting this Regis Salon every again and will never suggest it to anyone. If thats how the whole salon reacts to an obviously perturbed client, then I have no interest in ANYONE at that salon.

Yesterday my daughter and I went to Regis Salon for the first time, and we had a wonderful experience. Hence the reason why we are giving Regis a 5 star rating. We called several salons and read lots of reviews before we decided to give Regis a try, and I’m glad we did. As an African Caribbean person it is really hard to find someone or a beauty salon in the Spring/Woodlands Area that can really work with ethnic hair texture at a reasonable price. My daughter and I was pleasantly surprise when we walked into the Regis Salon yesterday (around 7:00 pm) and met Cori “our new hair stylist” for the first time. Back story, my daughter was not happy with the extensions that was in her hair and her hair desperately wanted a wash and treatment. The moment we walked in the salon and met Cori, we felt at ease. Cori did a quick hair evaluation, gave us a few suggestions to which we agreed. Cori then took full control. (And I was so happy she did, because this lady knows her stuff). For the duration of the night we laughed, chatted and sheared stories. At the end of our visit (which only took an hour, Amazing!!!) my daughter was supper happy with how her hair turned out. I wish I had met Cori a week or so prior to this appointment because she would have been the perfect person to style my daughters hair for her sweet 16 party. Cori was able to transform my daughters hair from dull, drag and lifeless to smooth, soft and bouncy. Cori was very knowable about ethnic hair and the hair products. She gave my daughter some really good tips on how to care for her own hair (especially how to wrap her hair at nights). Houston we have found our beautician!! Cori will for sure see us again.

I only give this 5 stars directly to Susan. Last year when I chopped off all of my hair, for the first time since 2009, it was Susan who did a beautiful job removing all the dead hair that had grown. Later in december last year, I returned to get a cut and failed to make an appointment with Susan and got some newbie who basically just ran the scissors straight across my hair, i asked for a Bob, and made it so blunt and gross looking and tried to send me home. Manager had to jump in to fix, but something was still off, just didnt look right. Next day I called and I asked if Susan was available, and since she was I got an appointment with her to fix it. It was basically an entire new haircut that left me with shorter length than I originally wanted, however it was necessary to correct the damage from the newbies mistakes. They didnt double charge me, instead the money I paid the first time was redirected to Susan which made me so happy. I will only come here if she is available, her blending skills are magical and she will work with you until it sits just right. Especially with a technical straight look from a bob, that is very important. Thank you Susan!

Ive visited many Regis Salons over the years, and have never had a bad experience (until now). First of all: no one in the salon looked like they were happy to be there. My stylist was extremely grumpy, and no one else was particularly friendly. Whatever, no biggie, maybe she was just having a bad day. Then came the haircut. It was just a basic cut, no coloring or anything. What a god-awful haircut this was (both in terms of the end product and the process). She yanked on my hair mercilessly for half an hour, nearly bringing me to tears (and I am NOT tender-headed) and then proceeded to make my bangs look absolutely terrible and very uneven. The minute I got home, I re-cut the bangs myself rather than risk trying to get them fixed. Unsurprisingly, the haircut ended up costing more than $40, not including tip. I would have been happy to pay this much for a well-done cut, but a chainsaw would have done a better job (and probably would have hurt less).

☆☆☆Update: I went back today & spoke with the store manager who did everything she could to make it right, including almost full refund, while explaining that the stylist I had is new. I wanted to update this because it is important. ☆☆☆Almost 6 hours in the salon, hair was bleached twice & color was spotty, three toners made color darker than it was supposed to be & a little less spotty. Cut is very short & not even close to being done correctly, might as well have stuck a bowl over my head, literally...a higher up attempted to fix cut but its still terribly uneven! I was given 15% off color & toner only...hair is nothing like what I wanted! Stylist cursed in front of my 7 year old daughter, more than once. I paid them to ruin my hair & waste six hours of my life :( No apologies or anything. ...

I use the manager, Q, to do my hair and she does a fantastic job. I got the best haircut I have ever had. My blonde highlights turned out well and the copper was darker than I wanted but lightened to my liking in no time. There does seem to be a little drama among the staff but maybe that is just young women being young women in this industry, I work with men so I am out of the loop. I appreciate that a staff member turned me over to a more knowledgeable person when she didnt feel best suited to meet my needs. That added trust.
