If you are out daycare shopping its best if you keep looking than to take your child to Here We Grow Daycare. They claim their food is approved by the USDA food nutrition program but I don’t know anyone that would approve fruity pebbles and Kool-Aid for breakfast (yes, I said Kool-Aid) or sugar coated sugar toast with a side of sugar and Kool-Aid. After the high sugar breakfast they will call you shortly after to tell you how hyper your kid is, and somehow expect you to do something about it over the phone. Then for snack they will give them cookies and cupcakes, and then you guessed it, another call at work to tell you how unruly your child is; but don’t even think about complaining about the food or offer suggestions because they don’t want to hear about it and the owner has a very bad ‘I don’t care’ attitude that needs a serious adjustment. Keep in mind your child will go outside in the pouring rain or snow and play with wet clothes on and stay in wet socks all day. One day after it was pouring outside all day, I went to go pick up my child and his jacket was soaked through and was in wet socks all day long. I feel they try to get your kids sick because if they are sick then that’s less kids to care for but they still make the parents pay the full price regardless if they are there or not, so that’s still money in their pockets. And you might as well throw safety out the window. Their 3 year old room has a door directly to the parking lot. They will tell you that it’s locked but it’s not, and they’ve admitted that the child lock on the door doesn’t actually work. My child has actually ran out that door and found in the parking lot. I should sue their butts off for not providing a safe environment for my child and letting him get out of the center. One former employee’s Google review already said that they are falsifying incident reports. This center needs to go under investigation. They don’t have air conditioning in the basement and in the summer it gets unbearably hot. They shouldn’t be allowed to have children down there; it’s very dangerous how hot it gets. If you care for your child, and I’m assuming you do, you are better off finding a daycare that actually cares more about the children than their bottom line.

Being a recent former employee, I think this review needed to be written. The teachers are all amazing with the children and take good care of them. Its the management team that I disagree with. On accident reports they will leave things out, not say what completely happened, or will sometimes even slightly change the story. There were a couple incidents that happened and Justine told us not to write a report or tell the parents. The new lady Caressa often has a very stern tone of voice with the children while talking to them, and since she has started working at HWG i have had nothing but issues with things that were never a problem before. There is other staff as well as parents that I know are having complications and issues with her also. JoAnne frequently forgets when teachers ask to talk to her about things and she puts it off as long as she can. When I put my 2 weeks notice in she asked me to continue bringing my son there so we could all keep in contact and I told her I would. Out of my 2 weeks I worked 2 days and then was told I was not needed because they hired someone else. They erased all of mine and my sons information from the computer and collected his belongings and told me to schedule a time to get them. So I asked her if he wasnt allowed to go there anymore even though I was still paying her for his tuition. She told me she wanted to talk to me multiple times, but when I met with her she didnt talk about anything, just sent me on my way. When she finally did talk with me, she told me there was no room for him. She is still being paid for him to attend but I cant get her to talk to me about it and re-enter his information. When I ask her a good time for me to go in to talk she just says its too busy and shell get back to me the next day. Out of the whole month that she was paid for, my son got to go 6 times and then she kicked us out of the system and told me he couldnt attend anymore cause there was no room for him. I recommend this daycare as it is a safe and fun place for kids, but I highly suggest dealing with management as little as possible.

If you are looking for a place for your children to be loved and cared for like you would be doing at home, then this is the place to go! I was really concerned about taking my kids to a different daycare than what they were used to, but we needed something that worked with our schedule. We looked around at different daycares for three weeks prior to coming here and I cant be happier upon finding this place. When I first walked into Here We Grow the facility smelled clean which was a big thing for me. I was greeted by a girl named Justine, she was really friendly and answered all my questions. I toured the facility and she explained everything in detail. Since starting, they have kept constant and open communication with me, my child receives what they call a cuddle gram every day noting how well he ate throughout the day and how often he has been changed. Everyday that i have picked him up I have talked to his teacher Ms. Jen and she tells me how well he napped and how he felt throughout the day as well. My 23 mo old has already blossomed so much since switching daycares we have only been going for a week and a half but the change I am seeing in him is amazing, he is eating better and talking more. He already knows his teachers names and he is now happy to be dropped off in the morning! Ms. Amy is the Morning toddler teacher and she is always so happy and upbeat. They are on a food program and they change the menu daily, which is awesome, that way my kids are given a variety and healthy choices too. They offer breakfast, lunch and three snacks throughout the day. I can not say enough about Here We Grow, Ms. Joanne has picked some of the best people to care for your kids! They are amazing and I cant wait to get to meet everyone at Here We Grow, and have the staff here become part of our family. Thank you so much for everything that you do!

Constant drama going on with the staff. They sometimes hire unqualified family members over professionally trained teachers. One such teacher was awful with the kids in the two year old room. She was verbally and physically rough with the kids and could barely communicate with the parents. The preschool area was like a basement dungeon. The staff is nice to your face until you leave the center. Then they refuse to talk to you at all. Check out Skool Days, they are incredible for similar cost and a much better facility.

My son was here for 3+ years. The preschool program was great. He was able to transported to school and back during Kindergarten and then to daycare from school after first grade. The summer programs are excellent. The staff knew my childs name within the first day or two and were very patient when he threw tantrums. He has a lot of energy and it not always the easiest to deal with and they had very few issues! The kids are well cared for and have fun each day. The facility is clean and the staff seems happy.
