First and foremost Id like to say 1. People will wait for good food. I just wanted steak and shrimp mixed in 2 enchiladas because I love the meat. First off, have fun being bullrushed through the line when they feel under pressure (although we were the only folks in line for a good 15 minutes or so ) They forgot the second enchilada and I had to wait on that because they rushed themselves and when I stated I wanted to steak they mentioned "just put in on the side" when I wanted it on the actual enchilada. Okay if youre at work, you dont have any place better to be until that end of day hits. Dont talk to me like I did something wrong when I just wanted my complete order. The foods good but after 20 odd minutes in line and being bullrushed down the line like theyre something wrong with me when the staff got the order wrong is just plain negligent. Most people will wait for their whole order and especially for good food. Probably not coming here again just because of the service. If I come in and put out money your on the customers time. I personally work customer service for a living and that behavior wouldnt be something I could get away with. Damnably frustrating is what it is.

First experience and there was no welcome walking in the door, no manager in sight. All very young employees and without being bias, they were simply untrained, no customer service skills. Didnt know there quite simple menu. Never asked what we wanted..just started putting things together without confirmation from us. Didnt offer a small..just made a regular. I would have said the food was good..but everything was cold and felt more microwaved which I could have received at home. Decided to sit outside and even that was a turn off due to an un kept of weeds and trash surrounding the tables and chairs. Sad to say I will not be returning. The place has the potential..but needs management to set a good atmosphere along with experienced employees.

So disappointing. I ordered nachos and they said it would be a minute for queso. They made the rest of the order which then sat for over 10 minutes until the queso finally showed up. So I got to eat my nachos cold and my daughter ate her salad alone while I waited. The manager on duty was completely oblivious to the issues at the end of the line and even though I expressed my dissatisfaction they never even so much as said they were sorry..... Email has gone unanswered so beware of this location. Tables were dirty and the floor under the production line was disgustingly dirty.

This was my familys go to spot, but recently the service here has been horrible. We went there to pick up food one night and it was just ridiculous!! We were first in line and right at the end of our order getting ready to pay. The lady is just back and forth with us and everyone else and kept asking over and over what our order was and then again going back to everyone else, she just kept us waiting forever! We then realized after just wanting to get out of there she forgot dressing and pico on one of our orders!

Been coming here for a while, today... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Not only did they NOT put the lid on my salad right & its spilled all over, today the "Daily Special" days "includes drink" and they charged me for it. They also forgot the tortilla with my salad. They werent too busy and talk about making customers feel uncomfortable to ask for anything... the gal with the glasses has NO smile on her face and is RUDE when she talks to people. Youre in customer service and not a drill sergeant!

Awful. I have worked in food service for over 20 years. The girl making the tortillas was not wearing gloves, when l asked why, her response was " my hands are clean, you can lick them to see how clean they are ". As l moved down l noticed the counters, how they were filfthy, filfthy filfthy. They were by no means busy at 5:30. I had no choice but give them one star. They get a big fat zero from me.

My first visit to this franchise ever and one of the employees was so rude to my friend I was just astonished. I dont know what they put on stuff and you cant see half of what they do and she didnt ask us what we wanted she just slapped guac on everything and when my friend asked for no guac we got mean mugged hard. I can get the same food at about 10 other places I dont need attitude.

Just had dinner there. Two sweet pork burritos. I dont know if management has changed but this will be the last time we go there to eat. The burritos were half the regular size and barely any lettuce and pico. If you are going to serve smaller portions then you need to change your prices! We would typically have leftovers but left barely full! Very disappointing!

Terrible service. The girl just threw our food together without asking us what we wanted. One was supposed to be a burrito, not smothered with no rice, but she didnt give us the chance to tell her what was wanted on them. The girl at the register took 15 min to ring up 2 burritos and a taco kids meal. She also confused my 100 for a 20. Wont be coming here again.

The food is great my family & I love it, especially if you add the mango salsa or get something with it. The Only complaint I have is that they will nickel & dime you for add one other then some extra pico. My advice, if you can eat at home do so & just add your own sour cream & guacamole from store packets or make some as well as other add ons.

This has been one of my goto places since it opened here in Layton around 2003? (Not entirely sure of the year) Food is so good and fresh! They have the best drink of all time(horchata)! Service is great and its quick! Nothing to complain about when it comes to Costa Vida! Been to a bunch of them and this one is my favorite!

Just what I needed - a quick takeout for dinner. No wait on a Sunday evening. Employees were very formally courteous as if part of their training. The food was tasty and what I expected. The noise level of fans is a bit high, making it hard to hear questions as they prepared the order.

So...... Incredibly.... Slow...... Literally five people in front of me, still took 12 minutes to get my food. Food was YUMMY, but with people standing around behind the counter, it should have been ready FAST FAST FAST. Also, the acoustics inside are horrible.

I absolutely live costa vida, it is quite comparable to Café rio. I tend to lead toward costa vida because I think there pork and chicken is sweet, which I believe tastes much more flavorful. If you like sweet pork you are going to love this restaurant!

By far the best customer service! I mentioned I needed a gluten free meal and Hugo immediately changed his gloves. I didnt even have to ask! And these guys were so nice! Kudos to Costa vida! Jesus and Hugo are amazing employees.
