If youre looking for a normal haircut and/or color, then this is a fine place for that. The staff all have colorful hair dyes and interesting cuts, which made me think this was a good place to get an anime style with strong pink shocks of hair in front, sides and on some longer strands. The young woman, who I was told was the best, was covered in tattoos, so I thought I was in the right place. Unfortunately, the first time I was there, even though I showed her a photo of the exact color and cut I wanted, she gave me some kind of rinse that barely showed a hint of a red color in the light. After 45 minutes of the treatment, hair dryer, etc. to come out with that color that had absolutely nothing to do with the photo Id shown her --- well, I was almost in tears. The worst part was that this young woman cannot accept that she has done anything wrong and wont apologize. She proceeded to tell me that she told me "three times"that it would not work on my hair --- which I knew was NONSENSE. She then went and mixed the color again and FINALLY GAVE ME THE STYLE AND COLOR I WANTED. This after 3 hours of being there. Apparently, she felt she was doing me a favor, re-doing the color to the color I actually wanted in the first place. But, in the end I was happy and thats all I cared about. I paid $175 for the color and cut. After a month, when I couldnt hold out any longer, I went back, very apprehensively. I had pink hair, as I mentioned before. Again, the color wasnt what it was supposed to be. It came out FUCHSIA. I saw the way she mixed the colors (I dont think she made good notes from our first interaction). AGAIN she made excuses. My hair was too porous. The color isnt the same from appointment to appointment. This didnt make sense to me, but she pulled the "Ive been doing this for 14 years" line and was very condescending to me. I said to her: how much more clear can I be? I brought a picture. All I wanted was the same! I remembered her showing me two different mixes, one of which was a fuchsia color that I said I DIDNT WANT. It was obvious to me that she had used that on my hair. I paid $115, plus $23 in tips and went home in shock. When I went home, my son told me it looked HIDEOUS. I was very upset as I had an important meeting in the next few days. I called the following day and told them I had to have my hair re-done and they tried to put me off for a week. I couldnt believe it. I said, I must have my hair fixed. This is not what I wanted. Ive wasted over 7 hours total, getting bad hair coloring. They acted like they were doing me a favor by rescheduling another "guest"so I could come in the next day. You know what Im going to say next, right? AGAIN the color was wrong! By this time Im beyond upset, although I hold it in. Im aghast at the lack of professional abilities, and the inability to even APOLOGIZE FOR WASTING MY TIME. The lying to cover up mistakes, the blaming ME for her not being able to get my color right. At every turn, her failure was MY fault. She did not apologize. Even accused me of wasting her time and that she was losing money by having to re-do my color!!!! Again, almost in tears, I told her to just give me a brown color. She had the AUDACITY to tell me that she would do this, but that she didnt want me to make any more appointments with her. I said: YOURE FIRING ME????? I couldnt believe the gall. She never apologized. She treated me like I was to blame for her shortcomings (remember, they only do normal cuts and colors for "guests"as they call us. they only do wild colors for each other, and I dont know how much she actually does herself because shes dishonest) In the end when I had a normal brown color. I just left. I will NEVER GO BACK THERE. Want blond highlights? Want a layered cut? Feel free! Im sure theyll do a fine job. But beware if you want anything unique. It will be YOUR FAULT when it doesnt work out.

This salon shouts Luxury, up to date on trends, first class service! I have been a long time client of Jared Briggs. I have very thick hair, which can be difficult to cut and color correctly. I have had many different colors and haircuts, both edgy and professional and have loved my hair every time! You receive an amazing scalp massage with your hair service which is always FANTASTIC! Kate, offered complimentary makeup touch ups and I left looking ready for a night on the town. She also offers Geisha shaving; I will definitely be booking that service in the near future. The staff is absolutely fantastic; very friendly, offer you a beverage upon arrival, assist each other and make recommendations on product. They are very welcoming and professional and offer a variety of services including makeup and facial shaving. In addition, they are environmentally focused; they have IPads with over 100 digital magazines to look at while your hair is processing and use glass bottles for beverages. If you are looking for a relaxing and high end service, this is the place! I also love Jane Iredale and Kerastase products so it’s truly a one stop shop for my makeup and hair product needs. I simply cannot recommend it enough, you will not be disappointed. First class customer service Thank you Jared and Kate for making me feel pampered!

I love Lunatic Fringe and trust them with my life. Ive been seeing Jared for years. Before that I saw Shawn. Everyone here is excellent. What I love about LF is their dedication to staying at the top of their game by attending education courses, competing at NAHA, traveling and finding new ideas, staying on top of and in front of trends, and providing an experience with each visit no matter how many times youve been there. Ive referred my best friends and family here. Ive never had a bad experience. I love knowing I can show up with an idea that they can recreate or arriving with no plan at all, trusting them to do excellent work and creating something I love. Jared is a color specialist with an expansive knowledge. I havent even mentioned the products they sell... all top of the line and reasonably priced. I say I trust my life with LF bc my hair is so important to me, I work and appear in public and have to look good. LF understands and addresses my needs successfully, every time, without fail.

This is a nice salon with friendly staff and we loved our stylist Kate. She cut, colored and did Brazilian Blowout to my hair and also cut my two daughters and sons hair twice over the summer. She did a great job on everyones hair curly or straight and styled them so cute before the kids left. Kate is very sweet and great with kids as well as adults. She listens very well to what issues you say you have with your hair to make certain she understands what you need and want. The salon is in a great location in gorgeous Park City, Utah. We plan to see Kate again when we are back in Park City for ski season.
