This Club, while impressive in its offerings, is constantly dirty. Somewhere between the pool and the ladies locker room there is a funk that comes and goes in strength but is almost always present. This should be no surprise; lack of detailed cleaning is standard at this club, if you cant clean the floor boards (easy) why would you do the kind of intense cleaning it takes to properly maintain a pool and locker area? This club has a lot of members, but having been one for several years now its easy to see they dont want to put money back into the club. The staff is nice and polite, but extremely lazy (no doubt grossly underpaid). They stand around chit chatting while spray bottles and paper towel machines sit empty and trashcans are overflowing. It’s simple to see what’s going on here. The staff has no incentive to take ownership in the club (and who can blame them really, they’d have to have a livable wage for that)? They exist primarily to sign up new members and make sure no one walks off with equipment. Were this club not so close to my house, I would have changed a long time ago. NOTE TO OWNERS: If I walk into the club and lift a spray bottle and see year-old dust bunnies, then nothing is clean the club is a sty. It means the fine cleaning isn’t being done. Why do you think I give a crap about the spray bottles? I religiously spray down everything for fear I’ll pick up a staph infection. I don’t use the pool area, not since that one day when I found a member shaving in the steam room. You may think this harsh or believe that since other people aren’t complaining I just have high standards, but I’ve reported this to your managers for YEARS. I’m posting this now because you emailed me asking for feedback. I’m putting my feedback here because I want you to actually DO something. Oh and one more thing, spend another $50 and put a freaking clock on every wall. Would it kill you to make it so that I can see a minute hand from every station?

This 24 hour fitness is nice. It is not overly crowded and you rarely need to wait for equipment to become available. The frustrating thing is that the management continues to change. With the most recent change, the front desk staff seems to have changed dramatically. One of the most personal workers who actually got to know the members is no longer working there (reasons unknown but it happened around the same time that management changed). It appears that the new manager hired several women who seem to be more concerned with flirting with the male members and trainers. They appear to be highly incompetent and it appears that they were hired solely based on physical reasons. Another huge issue that I have noticed with this club is that they are often out of sanitizer and paper towels upstairs on a regular basis. The downstairs is always filled, but for some reason they are incapable of walking upstairs to ensure that it is filled, especially during the most busy times of the day. The sad thing is that there have been several times in which I have brought it to the staffs attention, but they failed to replace the paper towels or sanitizer during the hour and a half or so that I was in the gym. They were however capable of standing at the front desk and doing nothing or shooting the breeze with other staff/trainers.

Some reviewers must be severe OCD. Yes, the gym isnt a sterile environment where you can work on microchips, but its a GYM for crying out loud! People are going to use it, its gonna get smelly and dirty. But as far as gyms go, this one seems a lot cleaner and less smelly than others (Im thinking specifically of the Sugarhouse one...) Theyve separated out their equipment so its not just a full haphazard pile of stuff. Mostly weight stuff down bottom, treadmills and stuff up top. Just seems like air flow works better here, the set up feels more welcoming too, less cramped. I go for the classes mostly, which if you only used the gym for that youre getting a deal. One of their Zumba instructors, Veronica is fantastic. Ive seen all body types there, just doesnt seem like people judge at this gym. Great lift instructors too. One cycling class we had, she wasnt a terrible instructor, but not great either. Other than that, not many complaints. Again, its a gym. If you must have a completely sterile environment, you may be better off investing in a treadmill and staying at home.

I really feel bad for this company. I had been a member, tried to pause my membership because I was going to be out of town for awhile for work, I told them I would call when I was ready to get back on. They paused my membership for like 2 months and then just started charging me again. When realized what was happening, I called them, and they wouldnt refund any of the charges! Amazing! Being a business owner myself, I was really disappointed with their customer service overall. Im sure the employees were just following protocol, but that just means the problems are in management. Anyways after all this I canceled my membership and joined a new club and WOW, what can I say, I should have canceled for a lot more reasons than I actually did. If you are a member are 24 hour fitness, do yourself a favor and cancel now and move on, the grass really is greener on the other side. If youre not a member yet, then run, run, as fast as you can!

I went in to try out their online free 3 day pass after signing up with my email and was denied when I went in. They said they wouldnt honor the pass because and I quote "since its Easter and youre a Vasa fitness member"...??? They said that they could let me in for $20. It looks nice but if thats how they reason I really dont think much of their establishment. The free pass email I received mentions nothing about restrictions for being a member of another gym. They have longer longer hours for kid care vs the kid care for Vasa gym and from what I saw from the front desk the gym looked small but a lot cleaner.

This gym is awsome, from the selection of equipment to how clean it is. Not only is the staff friendly, but so are members who go there. They offer a variety of classes (I recomend body combat on tuesday mornings @9:15) and times that are reasonable. These other reviews dont do this gym justice. If you are coming here to work out, this is the place. Ive been attending this 24hr for almost 5 years and I have never been robbed, the staff has never offended me and it has always been clean. check it out for yourself! Aaron Freeman

I needed to cancel due to financial issues. I went in the very beginning of last month. I signed a paper to cancel the membership. The next day I get a call from the manager asking me if I wanted to cancel. I said yes and asked her if I would see a charge for the month of May. Low and behold I look at my account and theres the charge. Now I have to wait for a manager. Follow through sucks
