Straight to the Point Japanese

Not generally one to complain, but I came in for a basic cut today and am really bummed with how it turned out. I had a great time talking to the stylist, August. However, after coming home and taking a shower. Im really shocked by how my hair was cut. I have really poor vision and take my glasses off when I get cuts, and usually its no problem because I trust the person cutting my hair. However, this time I should have checked -- Ill see if I can upload the picture, but there is a lot of bad and uneven cutting at the front and in the back. During the cut, I kind of noticed and asked, "is the hair on back of my head discolored? (noticing that some areas had been cut really close to the skin)" And I was told "No you just have a funny head shape". Thanks...Using excuses like that and hiding bad cutting with dry wax may be expected at a 10 dollar shop. However I was charged $30 and left a tip. I feel bad ragging on the stylist because she as a person seemed really awesome. However, as a stylist Im shocked. Maybe other stylists here are better, but I expected better work for the price.

All the staff are polite and helpful, including the receptionist and, whether or not youre their customer, the stylists. I have been going to Julie and Stephanie for years. They dont suggest I change my cut, but each just repeats it efficiently and pleasantly every time. Ive seen what they do for other customers, and if you want something exciting, Im sure they or any of the other barbers would cooperate! But for me, its just restful and always satisfactory. I consider that worth 5 stars.

I love this place. They are so affordable and everyone there is skilled stylists. I personally go to Suzy because shes down to earth but my friends all go to Bladework too and have different stylists. They always look great. I used to go to Got Beauty and was paying a lot more for a haircut, not to mention that they could never get me an appointment in a timely manner. I decided to try Bladework my friends recommendations and am very happy with them. A good stylist is VERY hard to find.

August is the absolute best! She cuts my hair AND my two wiggly boys hair (ages 2 and 4) and we always leave looking fresh to death. If youre looking for an amazing stylist at an affordable price, shes your girl. #inaugustwetrust I also just recently had my brows done by the infamous Sara Stempniak and let me just say I am on FLEEK.

Terrible experience. The lady was very forceful, and not caring. I walked out with a headache. I came to start going back to my natural hair color, and walked out with the same hair color going in. Over priced, and did not even get close to the hair I wanted. Would not even give one star.

Loved it! I was a walk in, Maggie cut my hair into a short pixie cut that I love! (her hair is rad and I told her I wanted a really similar style.) Atmosphere was nice, service was great, everyone was fun and professional. I would definitely recommend Maggie.
