A good mix of experienced and less-experienced barbers. Ive been going there since 1992, and several of the staff have been there for years! As of March 2016, most cuts are $6.00. There is a price list on the wall. They have always been cash-only, but there is an ATM available. There is a number system, but one can wait for a specific barber, if they wish. The real plus is that each of these workers is a licensed barber, not just a stylist. Speaking as a veteran, I like that I can describe what kind of cut I want, and get exactly that, even from a newer member of the staff. The staff is friendly and they work fast. This is a plus because there are times when the place is packed! They seem to work well with all ages and nationalities. I know I have heard Spanish and Vietnamese spoken there. Since the haircuts are so inexpensive, I strongly recommend tipping at least a couple of bucks. They certainly deserve it! Kudos and top recommendations for The Dollar Barber Shop!

I come here to get my hair cut EVERY time I need one. But the experience I had yesterday was so AWFUL I dont think I will EVER go back there again. I typically go to the same barber but he wasnt there, so I waited for an older lady that seemed to be almost done. I waited on her for an ENTIRE hour. She knew that I was waiting for her, and after she was done she tells me my shift is over. She didnt even bother to tell me that her shift was over soon and that she was not going to be cutting hair after. The owner and someone who appeared to be his spouse were there and they didnt even CARE. They just said the next available barber will cut your hair. I wanted to tell them off and say Ill go somewhere else, but I needed the cut and it was almost 5 oclock.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My two boys and my dad went to get a haircut, before attending a 3 day Convention we have and not only did the barber ruined one of my sons hair with the worst hair cut ever, but when the barber learned that my son complain to the owner, as my family got on the car, the barber walked outside and gave them the middle finger!!!!! My boys are only 12 and 14!!! Then I call the owner to advice her of what the barber did and she started screaming at me, as if we deserved it? I dont understand how she can run a business like this, but needless to say, this was their first and LAST time to go there!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Obviously the name of the place does tend to make one a little skeptical. I have two friends who always have excellent fades, so one day I asked them where do they get their haircut? Both of them responded with "that $6 Haircut Place on 700 East. I was blown away. I absolutely love this place. Ive only been there four or five times and it doesnt matter what barber I get, they always do a superb job. Their customer service is awesome and the wait is never long. Budget or no budget, I would choose this place over any other barbershop in town.

Terrible haircut. She trimmed the top of my head like one would mow the lawn. My head looks flat AF. I will need to wear a cap for a week or two. I was so disappointed that i didnt bother to check the backside, when i returned home to wash my head, i discovered that its absolutely uneven, see the picture. I always tip them $5-10, however, I will never return. Id rather pay $20-25 and get a professional haircut.

I went in to the barber shop prepared to pay extra for a "medium length" cut, but when I described it to the girl cutting my hair she told me it would only be $5! She spent plenty of time on my hair, gave me multiple opportunities to give feedback, and I left feeling confident about my sharp new haircut... And I got several compliments later that day. They made a returning customer out of me!

Great $6 haircut (Tip youre barber!) Love the old school feel. Rows and rows of barber chairs. Take a number, but they get to you quick. You can wait for your favorite barber but Im too impatient. Most do a pretty good job. If youre looking for a fancy updated barber shop, go to the mall, but if you want a fast and cheap haircut, come here.

This place has been around for years. Good old fashion inexpensuve no frills hair cut. I have been going here for years. Walk in, take a number, wait your turn, sit down, tell them exactly what you want and that is ut. In and out without an appointment in short time.

I travel from Magna to get my hair cut here. It is worth the drive. You take a number when you come in the door . You can choose the barber you wish and then give him/her the number. Certain barbers are more popular than others. See ya there.

Absolutely love this place. Extremely low cost and still a great cut. Been going there for years. Life long owner passed away a few years back. Hair stylists have been there for years, some over a decade. Go in, cut, out.

Hard to beat a $6 haircut overall the barbers are friendly but you occasionally get the one that doesnt converse much if any and just wants to get you in and out.
